Well, personally, it doesn't happen every time, but my method is different every time as I'm still in the 'playing'/figuring it out stage :D

I will pay more attention and see which method results in the effect... soon, hopefully. Currently nothing to test with :(

We are daily exposed to harmful things, but that doesn’t seem like a reason not to limit exposure where reasonably possible. Obviously that line is different for everyone.

By that logic, all mesh screens must be avoided on the chance that the seller is selling aluminum ones and labeling them SS. But before we do that, do we even have evidence that aluminum screens offgas via vaporization (not combustion) temps?

About the condenser use or without, it has widely been discussed in this thread, it seems a matter of preference. I personally like both, but the stems without condenser and without carb hole seem more smoking type of sensation and, as a ex-smoker is more fulfilling.

I happened to have 8mm ss tight mesh screens (from my old ecapple iv-1, a correct, reliable e-cig looking chinese conduction session vape by the way) and indeed it gives an even better taste to the vapcap. It clips easily to form the Ti tips small chamber and prevents from particules. But I don't think it will completely replace my CCD's due to cleaning. As the mesh screens clog easily, I also improved my ecapple's airflow and lessened the need for cleaning putting an ss CCD in it's mouthpiece.

I just lost the cap to my shadow. I'm upset, disappointed, angry, ashamed.

My mind said 'don't just leave that there in the car while it's moving' As the thought finished inside my brain I hear a click (not the good the click), but a click sound of something small n hard banging against another hard surface... We combed the car in the 5 minutes I had... :huh:

@dynavap please hit us with replacement shadow parts PLEASE! At least tips and caps.

Both? I've been following your style perhaps PP's style as well mostly. Carb covered and mouth pulls, more dense vapor but I can over do it which causes slight irritation, then I start using the carb.

thing is, it's not a bad sensation. It's more interesting in that I'm constantly reminded how incredible this particular pineapple express tastes. A great reminder why I stopped smoking. Fruit spirit had a similar expression but not nearly as robust as the pineapple. I have other nice strains but those dank, skunky, diesel strains haven't tasted nearly as incredible...

Side note. I've taken the cap off of my 2nd unused Shadow M and put it on my used one, it slides off easy like sone experience. But it fits my other M more snug.... I'm dissapointed. If I lose this cap, 1. The device will be unusable 2. My M loses its stealthy shadowness and will 'not look as nice' imo once I get a replacement ss cap :(

Yeah, someone else mentioned buying from trusted sources to avoid the unknown.

As for the safety of aluminum, I remember there was a rumor going around about a correlation between aluminum and Alzheimer’s, but no idea if that has since been refuted or not.

Yeah I don't know exactly when I'll have time to start it but I'll definitely post pictures. And yeah that picture does inspire me, I was thinking about using some extra wood I've got at home but now I might take a trip to the store and find some stuff from the kitchen section that might already be closer to the size of a DynaVap body or stem. I want to make at least 1 that can be used with a condenser and one without. Guess I'll try making the one without the condenser and carb hole 1st since that seems easier.

One thought I had was staining the wood to maybe make it look better when I was done but this could be a bad idea maybe since it might not be healthy? Guess I'll have to look at what's in wood stain.

Sometimes it's bad that the vapcap increases the flavor experience...


My main connect is out of the state for the holidays...

So i went to see a "friend" to score something until he gets back...

Smelled great... Looked great... Screw it... I'll take a half ounce...

Get home.... Vape a cap... This stuff taste exactly like pine-sol smells... The high is great... But the taste and after taste is killing me. Very "kitchen cleaner" taste... Wish i only grabbed a gram.


To add insult to injury.... My main guy calls me a couple hours later telling me he will be coming home early... Like In the morning... WTF ?? :bang::doh:

I'll pick up an ounce from my normal guy tomorrow... Try mixing 2 to 1, in a small batch at first, and see if that water downs the taste enough.

If so I'll have enough bud to last until Feb... If not... i dunno.... I'll let it sit and cure for a while... Maybe the flavor will decrease...

The high is a little better than my normal stuff... This is more potent... But the taste is not great.


Years ago i use to mix a very little damiana into weed... Gave it a bit of a menthol taste... But i smoke menthol cigarettes too... Most people didn't like it LOL

These days the only thing i wanna mix into weed is more weed... Or Hash... If i could find it again...

I got my M starter pack last night. First time using a butane powered vape. This thing is very cool. I loaded .05 which was about a half pack, took 4 hits. I didn’t get much visible vapor but it was smooth and tasty and I got very medicated. I think this will be a great unit for me. One hitter quitter. Definitely have a Ti Tip on my radar so I can do a full pack with a microload!

So I had never tried concentrates of any kind since I began vaping, and a friend who just had back/neck surgery has been using cannabis oil in cartridges and it seems to work very well to help reduce his pain and use less Oxy. I have had some and it really is drop dead easy and I see why folks love it so much. I am afraid of it as I can see how easy it would be to use more and develop tolerances that might make flower less effective.

Anyway, one of his carts broke and he wrapped it up in a paper towel. Needless to say all the oil soaked into the paper towel, and I have been playing with ways to consume it. I have tried using a VC and it DOES work, but the bowl is so small it is awkward. I seem to have better luck with a Lotus which has a slightly bigger bowl but more importantly allows more heat and "live" heat control. The trick seems to be to get enough heat to vape the oil without enough to combust the paper. :science:

Any other thought on how to do this with the VCs?

I just picked up a few cartridges/pods on sale because they’re so easy to take and use almost anywhere, but I’ve been reminded again that at least the ones I’ve tried are not a full substitute for flower.

I’m guessing a rosin-based cartridge might be similar to flower, but since I don’t have that yet I have to say that I could use the FlowerPot or VapCap indefinitely and get the medicinal effects I need, but a whole day with *only* pens and pods is unsatisfactory in my experience.

I’m sure I’ll continue to use them (I am right now because they’re what I have with me), but to really compete with my dry-herb options they’re going to have to be filled with more full-spectrum concentrates.

...in fact I just went out of my way to get some more flower in me a min ago despite having a Pax Era pod of a similar strain on me because the flower is just more effective for me. The pods seem better to me for short-term use between flower rather than a replacement for flower.

Oh, and all of the cartridges and pods I’ve tried seem to bother my throat more...not sure why.
