Try drying your material more first?

Meh definitely not (just) that, I've used bud all ranges of dryness/moisture. I think it's just a dare I say (very minor) defect of this fine flame-powered (much more logical terminology that "butane-powered" imho) vape.

Just go my Jr yesterday I've read though this whole forum. I have to say thank you to you all. I'm not new to Vaping at all. Got the Jr and crunched the first bowl with ease to my surprise I took the restriction disk out. I think it was making it harder. This reminds me of the first solo. Si instant and good with the Jr though. I used a duel flame lighter. The single wasn't strong enough. I was outside with a little wind. Maybe inside it would be different. Had to share my first time. Enjoy

Hi all,

I'm sure somebody here can point me in the right direction.

I've owned three SBJs (first two which were misplaced and/or stolen), I'm on my third which I ordered on the 19th of November so less than 2 weeks ago.

I mention that because for the first time in all three units I've owned I had small crack occurrence on the heat intake, which I'm positive is not from any rough handling impact, as I baby the thing - and almost certainly from temperature related issues.

As far as I know that should absolutely qualify it for the warranty on glass-parts, no? That said, in the name of expediency since I'm no longer situated in the US and instead in the Netherlands, I already ordered two replacement intakes as well as a back up mouthpiece-stem just in case.

However, since this fall under warranty I would like to know what my recourse is, what I'm eligible for and who would be best to contact about that?

I've already hit up SBL on their Instagram account via private-message, but not sure if that's the best route.

Thankful for any feedback here!

Hey @AmsterDAB16 i contacted them via this email in the past:

productsupport@stickybricklabs.com

And they were very quick to assist. Good luck!

Awesome many thanks for that man. In updated news, I reached out and they responded very quickly and offered (without question) to send me a replacement (and new mouthpiece as well) for only shipping costs to the Netherlands, or for free if I give them the address of a Stateside family member to carry it over when they visit for the holidays.

Huge props to the SBL family for their excellent craftmanship, ingenuity and respect to the customer-support process! You guys da real MVPs!

I just wanted to share that I have a banger intake for the bricks that actually functions perfectly for a flame intake with the butane lighter. Also, SBL is the most responsive and customer service oriented company that I have ever delt with. I believe this works in their favor, I have 4 bricks and plenty of extras from them at this point. I also have recommended them to many of my friends and reviewers.

I saw a video where they heated up the outside of the straight intake glass and applied a small dab on the inside for a hit. It worked, I would be careful applying to much heat with a torch and banger.

Has anyone here tried putting a quartz banger in their flame intake hole and doing dabs through their brick?
I used their adapter on my OG and junior, though my post with this pic was about 2 years ago. I haven't used it much since then, according to my post I was into it though.

I am glad that everything was a simple mistake ... it was weird that it did not fit, the SBJ always fits !

My Brick is my favorite vape to stone me those days on the beach front to sea to sunset :rockon:

I'm looking for lighter suggestions.

Right now, I'm using the honest torch that came with the jr. I have it at maybe 2/3rds intensity, and I still have to get it almost flush with intake in order to get the abv dark brown. That part doesn't bother me too much, but when I do that, the browning is pretty centered in the middle of the bowl, and the ring outside doesn't get cooked. This tells me that even if I'm not going for dark brown abv, I'm heating a small portion of the bowl, and I'd like to improve that. I think that a wider flame would mitigate the issue somewhat. Is that the answer? Any suggestions in the direction? Would like to spend $10 or less.

tl;dr want a fat flame lighter

have you tried circling the flame around the edges of the intake as you hit it? That got rid of the center charring for me
