This may have been asked already, but I added a hr10t35v to my cart with the bundle with the prepress and bags which comes to $509 I used the discount code and it removed the bundle discount and brought the total to $503, is that to be expected?

Yes, unfortunately the shopify cart won't allow both coupon codes as the bundle is a coupon code too.

I just love my work, we do get vouchers every year and trough a loophole it was possible for me to exchange them to the Enerpac pump i wanted so i just ordered a P-391, should be here in 2 weeks...cant wait :D :D :D

You will have to let us know how the motion in the handle feels in comparison to cp390.

Looks like my strongway and hr10t35v are both arriving Tuesday, ordered both Friday morning.

Thanks for your order! DHL express has been on point with delivery. Are you upgrading your press or will this be the first press for your shop?

We have an old set of non-caged plates on a big H-frame but it takes up way too much space for the amount it gets used. This seems like a nice compact bench top solution while still being an upgrade.

Very cool! You may appreciate the driptech functionality. Even with a small personal pressing of 5g last night, I had about half of the rosin that dripped out from the puck and parchment onto my silicone mat, the other half stayed in-between the plates on the paper (not a gusher strain). The difference in color, consistency and flavor between the two are noticeable and worthy of different grading IMO.

I went a lil crazy hahah. Loving this press like @ColoVaper :)

Haha, looks like you had a load of fun.

I so want to do another squish but I'm only about 1/3 of the way through my last batch.

If I had material to spare I'd squish for the experience but I gotta go easy for a while. I'm hoping to get another squish in before Christmas where I can implement some of the lessons learnt.

When loading puck into the bag do I have to spread it out in the bag? What do I do with the corners?

If using the pre-press mold, I'll get my puck pre-pressed, then I'll flip it over so I can see the bottom of the pre-press, then I'll take my filter, make sure it's inside out (seams inside), then I'll use a dabtool to fit the filter around the puck as I slowly push down on the pre-press mold to push the puck up through the top. It should slide right into the filter. From that point you should have your puck in the filter. I like to fold the corners inside the filter though I've done it with the corners folded on the outside of the filter. Just seems to work a little better folding the corners on the inside. The top of the filter I just fold like a present then load it inbetween the plates on the parchment.

Thanks will give it a try when I get home and put the lil guy down for a nap :)

I am wondering if the nylon pressing bags can be replicated by SS mesh. I have had fantastic results using this mesh with ethanol extractions. I am thinking of forming the puck and then folding a piece of mesh over the puck in the manner that parchment is used. I know I will get sticky plates, but I really don't want to trash mesh bags over and over. My thinking is that all of the trashed SS mesh will rust away before the mesh bags even think about degrading in the landfill. Very soon I will be investigating. @FlyingLow mind if I borrow your Strongway until mine gets here on Tues.?

Our two types of filters. The top one is rosin sleeve tube (cut to size filters, 2 open ends), has to be reversed prior to stuffing as seams are on the outside. Bottom one is a regular L-stitched filter which is already with the seams on the inside. Just stuff it and tuck the corners in if using bottle tech with the cylinder pre-press mold. For the 2x4" rectangle pre-press mold just stuff the filter as the puck will squarely fill in the corners.

The included plastic sheet can be folded to help with loading the rectangle pucks into the filters like this -

Here's 1g of rosin from 10g of mixed trim pressed into 90u 2x4" filter, 2.125" x 3.125" rectangle finished puck size with 5500 PSI on strongway gauge (1800 PSI estimate?). 59% RH 10% yield, I was surprised to get as much with so much leaf. Did get a blowout, think it was from some twigs =/
