Vape swap shop
I am still not totally happy with the rattle. If i brought any other product from a shop and it rattled i would feel the same. Would you expect this on a new car? These are priced at £180 not cheap. It kinda upsets my OCD. I would like to add my splinterz has had no drops or knocks.

I have started a conversation with vapefiend to see what they say.

I was told that the rattle is the mica rubbing against something and possibly releasing tiny mica particles in the vapor path.

Is the person that told me that correct?

I'd also like to know if this is true. Seems very important to know what we're breathing in.

@Easywider, I removed reference to the sale in my post. Will check if inventory is available at midnight, which is only 50 min. from now. There may be Z & Splinter inventory, but may just not be available until then when RBT's BF blackout is over. We'll see.

There was only Bubinga 2 & 4-hole Splinters, no Zs that I'm aware of. And they didn't show up at midnight. First I heard that the store was active was a little after 6am. And then the coupon wasn't working properly.  Who knows when more Zs are gonna show up as he said in his stream yesterday that in January he's expecting his 1st round of China Splinters. I suspect that in the beginning of the 1st quarter 2019 he'll have stock for all vapes.

I can wait till then ( :uhoh: maybe) I'd rather purchase from a Canadian vendor if possible. But this 30% has me refreshing the Z Bubinga page about ever hour. At least I only have to keep doing it until Dec 3rd.

@Easywider, you can make it till then. Just look at your signature vapes. You got plenty to keep you toasty & toasted. Maybe you can even take some out of the draw & get reacquainted.

some new wooden stems arriving with a matching 510 vape soon

A tubo???

When I emailed RBT about the code not working correctly, Ryan emailed me back:

"I am still waiting on Stephanie to add stock... much more stock to be added soon and more for the weekend." Have no idea what will be added, but assume it will be Splinters. Don't know about Zs or XLrs. If anyone checks the website & sees new stock, please be sure to post.

I was able to order a 4 hole Splinter Z earlier today. Payment went through so I surely hope it is available lol

I don't even see the option anymore on rbt site to choose between 2 & 4 hole. I even checked using a vpn incase I was being geo targeted being out of country. @Summer it's an iHeat

So YOU'RE Batman!! Hehe couldn't resist. But I think your advice is sound. I sold my Z to friend Dave who already liked his Splinter, but not impressed with raw power vs his desktops.

I explained a few aspects to him etc about the vapes and differences, and I suggested the Z may be much more satisfying as a desktop alternative.
Texts and word from elsewhere are that he really likes the Z. He told me "Z amazing".

But for Dave to say that so quickly, means a lot. He doesnt even touch the Evo he bought from me lol. And the Herborizer Ti I sold him (notice a theme??), which is as hard a hitter as almost any desktop with matching vapor quality and flavour, he never went wild about that.

So trust me, "Amazing" is mighty testament. I have deduced that he is instantly happier with the Z than his regular. (which he does like btw).

Did you sell him a 4-hole or a 2-hole Z?

Just want to let everyone know that during Ryan's IG stream tonight I asked if he was gonna put up any Zs for sale & he said that he sent about a dozen(?) to Stephanie to post. Since it was a stream, I didn't ask when or how many holes. All I can say is if anyone is interested, send an email to Steph to ask or keep an eye on the website. If any one does contact her or see them up, please post. And he won't have any XL8rs up for sale.

Also, Ryan published that stream in which he discusses the direction of the company & what the new warranty will be as well as demo'ing his Wismec Reaulux(sp.) Gen 3 Dual mod & his usage. If anyone watches it & is so inclined to post, please do so as I'm not up to it right now.

Been so lucky to grab a Splinter Z from Weedgadget Italy which arrived today. Only have an old VTC mini and fighting with settings at the moment, but could get some very nice clouds already.

What totally confuses me are the different stems of the different RTB devices and which one could/should be used with each other or should not. Read something about damage caused by use of wrong stems so I'm a little bit worried.

The Z is US Standard 19/22mm. The OG Splinter is a shorter 19/19. Everything for RBT vapes, Tubo, Stempod, iHeat fits Z.

Now that I better understand how to use the DNA 250 mod (the wismec reuleaux) and understand how to switch profiles I am having far better luck with @HerbieVonVapster’s profiles. The Z profile still doesn’t seem to work as well as the regular splinter profile for some reason, but I’ve locked the ohms and increased the preheat power from 1 watt to 50 watts and the performance has improved.

When using the splinter profile I get wonderful results but it seems that my herb cooks as much at 390 as it does at 445, it just takes a bit longer to get that level of doneness.

Unfortunately though I’m just not having luck running my Z with my RX 300 and @funkyjunky’s firmware. I have tried modeling @slowjimfizz’s settings but still have a hard time getting heat and when I do i get the “device too hot” message way too quickly to run a session. That’s been a bummer but I am very pleased with the Z’s performance with Herbievonvapster’s settings in the dna 250, I just wish I could cruise it lol!
