Discontinued Healthy Rips FIERCE

I know that one, but putting one in F2 and stashing four in the tube only calls for shuffling twice, and one of those times is only 2 DCs at that. For five loads. First change is easy, take out the top (fresh) capsule and replace it with the spent one upside down. Couldn't be easier? Next is the full unload and re stack. Two spend ones upside down on the bottom, two fresh ones on top, another in the F2. Next time is another simple 'top only' swap (leaving the only fresh in the tube second). Finally is the partial re stack, the top two have to come out to get to the fresh one, all four spent capsules are then in the tube and the last fresh one awaiting your pleasure. Sounds complicated, but it's actually simple and convenient I think, better than carrying two tubes or the tubing and cap kluge I tried.

well I'm back and damn it, that shit really works very well it hit me really fast, love it

Now shorten your session timer so that a little past half way thru finishing a capsule, your timer ends. Slide the whole mouthpiece up 1/2" , tilt the unit back and flip the capsule from lid up to lid down. You're now three clicks away from the second session!

The lids really make them top heavy, they flip to cap down pretty naturally. When they don't, tilting it back let's the magnets catch the capsule, haven't lost one yet (knock on wood).

I've cut back to about .1g, this and the flip keeps the flavor a little longer imo, almost the whole session.

How long till the silicone taste leaves this vape I’m on third session and it’s still present I did the mouthpiece soak and burnoffs . It’s def coming from the unit if Suck in from the intake on the bottom I can taste it too . Is it a needs to air out time thing, or more of a needs more use thing . I know it’s gotta go away with so many pages on this thread and people seem happy

Using it helps it lose any lingering odor. I think it was @OF who was explaining how the silicone parts in the black mouthpiece sort of get seasoned with a bit of use. I also did Jill's trick of blowing into the intake at max temp. I used my fist as a sort of straw to blow through if that makes sense.

Looks like the Fierce is available again. The Black Friday-Cyber Monday sale on the HR website doesn't list the Fierce, though. Maybe I'll wait and see that this version is working correctly before I buy. I bought a couple DV VapCaps to keep us occupied in the meantime.

I don't think the Fierce is Black Friday eligible. HR posted on the Fury/2 forum about Black Friday deals for Fury 2 and accessories. I'm however keeping an eye out too for the Fierce...:peace::tup:

Hi All! We have all of our FIERCE bundles available for sale on our website. We apologize if you were not able to buy one earlier today - we had a limited number of units from a small production run that sold out in about 4-5 hours. We have a larger production run that will be completed by the end of the week. If you place your FIERCE order now, we will have it filled and shipped before the weekend.

Have a great week!

Got a question: Im new to vaping and Im using the fierce most of the time with the glass mouthpiece, have set my session times to 8 minutes, I used between 365-400 temperatures, 3 8 minute sessions....is that too much or too little?

Way too many variables for a general answer to fit you? You're the only one who can make that call. Tough luck, you'll just have to experiment around some and follow the results you like.

Strain, potency, cure, how you hit (sip?), and so on make huge differences. No 'right or wrong' really. Most guys run it until it's 'tobacco brown' or maybe a bit more. Some like it only slightly off green, and leave potent ABV. Some guys don't stop before 'at least coffee' or even 'charcoal'.

Good for you. Combustion, as you might gather from the Forum name, is not well thought of around here. IMO for good reasons. You use a LOT less herb if you're not burning it up in some ill advised fire. Most guys drop to 1/3 or even less of their former consumption......and enjoy it more? You and your clothes smell better and you get to live longer to enjoy it. Pretty good deal?

"You don't have to stick your face in the campfire to get off".

The key is there are lots of techniques to fine tune things to your individual tastes and needs. 'Nothing' is right or wrong really, for sure not globally, but rather more or less useful to you as individual.

To be glib, it's like women. Lots of sincere advice out there, but as no less a sage than Dick Martin said, 'you gotta mix the martinis and screen them yourself'.

A great learning experience awaits you, just don't let @ataxian near your glass......he breaks stuff you know.

Regards to all.

Tried it at the max temp (430F/221C), it works great. Hits much more like my lotus (thick/pure). I usually take 3 hits in 3 mins (including 1 minute of heatup time). I do the first hit with the unit upside down so metal doesn't contact the load.

I take back what I was saying about it not being capable of pure convection. In my opinion it definitely is capable when set to at/near max temp. I take the first pull the moment I put the glass stem in and I still get thick clouds. After the session the glass is only warm to the touch.

The only significant difference compared to my "pure convection" lotus is that the draw resistance is quite a bit stronger on the Fierce which means I usually have to take 2 pulls instead of 1 but I also use a little more on Fierce. The resistance is wayyy less than other electric conduction vapes I have tried (2 dif flowermates). The draw resistance was partly why I tried lower temps as I figured there was no way I could pull air through fast enough for it not to overheat, but it actually isn't bad at all. The first hit is usually easier/less resistance because the material hasn't gotten all squished together at least with the amount I am using (0.1g in bent stem).

I settled with my lotus' butane power for the pure convection. With the Fierce there is no need to settle.

I'm gonna try to count the number of runs I can do before battery dies to see whether fast and high temp is more energy efficient than slow and low temp. Will report back!

Except for rare circumstances, I pretty much only use my Fierce (and Fury2) at 430 F. In fact, I really wish they went to 440 F.

Your recent technique sounds very similar to my go-to strategy. It is sort of adapted from a @paytonpenn technique in the Fury2 thread.

If you like your Fierce but would like to be able to kill a bowl quicker and see even denser vapor, check out the Fury2 with glass attachments. I'm not knocking the Fierce at all - mine has a loooooooot of miles on it and I love it. But the Fury2 fits my vaping style a little better since I was a log-head for such a long time! The Fury2 at 430F can really be used like a mini log.

Yeah, I like Fierce at max temp with the wpa. I take the heater off between hits if I want a break. I also back the bent stem out of the attachment to similar effect but I don't think I've tried that with a max temp convection session where I keep the glass out of the heater between hits.

I agree the Fury 2 is faster. It's too small to share with glass though so my Fierce gets more use.

True, I haven't given the Fury 2 thread a full read. Based on price and reviews the Fury 2 sounds like a complete steal, one of my friends is thinking of getting it. I'm sold on the Fierce though, battery life and being able to replace/have backup batteries is a huge plus for me. I don't mind the size/weight at all.

I'm happy to have both and yeah: it depends on how you want to use them, and how much. Keeping the Fury 2 charged is less annoying with the Fierce around.
