What if you eat an edible? Does this get your friends high too?

This is how you hotbox, lol

I am so thankful for youtube. No need to try such things out for yourself.

I think this hotboxing thing is tightly bound to the culture of the smoke signals of the american indians, no?:sherlock::lol:

It's called a contact high.

Wikipedia said:
A contact high is a psychological phenomenon that occurs in otherwise sober people and animals who come into contact with someone who is under the influence of drugs. In Alexander Shulgin's PiHKAL book under the 2C-I entry, a notable reaction is observed in a participant who takes a placebo, existing in an environment with other people who are under the drug's influence. The participant wrote that he had "absorbed the ambience of the folks who had actually imbibed the material."

My dog gets lit when he's with me on the couch. Seriously. I always try my best to avoid him from getting any vapor in his direction, but still, after 1-2 bowls, he's predictably stoned. Doesn't work with my wife on the other hand.

Incidental second-hand vapor won't get anyone high unless vaping is going on by a group for several continuous hours in a small space. If you think they are acting high its likely your projection:lol::brow:

Or their acting :D Deliberately or through the placebo effect.
Anyway I would estimate that with an open window, she would get almost nothing.
In a closed room, it would probably be less than 1 percent of what you got.
In a tiny closed hotbox tent, she would probably get less than 10 percent of what you got
(you get 70 percent in the first hit, then ~10 percent doesn't get breathed back in, and she might get half of the remaining 20 percent because you are there too)

Haha, yeah hotboxing does get your friends high. Now that is a fog they produce! Wonder what color pictures that camera lens took after the shoot.

I just have that weird feeling when you know how much it can help sick people and seeing most of that medicine ending up on walls furniture cloths etc.

Absolutely not. The mere idea that you can get a contact high from exhaled vapor, or smoke, is absolutely ludicrous. The dose is simply not enough.
There is a VAST difference between getting a small amount of the chemicals in your system from the environment around you, and getting enough in your system to have ANY noticeable effect.
That is the essence of this conversation . ..

I can give a picture using a $40 laser particle sensor. It is meant for air pollution and cannot handle a direct hit of a vape. The particles cap at 65,000 for the smallest size it can detect. So I figured the next best thing would be to measure a few feet away from the vape.

For a tiny test, I cleared the particles to very low numbers in a small room using a HEPA filter. Once the room was ready, I would blow out a hit (in a couple cases air is run through the inlet for no lungs). Each line of the graph is a session and what vapor is doing in a room after a hit while a HEPA is running.

Any particle smaller than 2.5 microns goes right from the lungs and into the blood. This is why breathing air pollution is not so hot.

IMO it takes about 1 hour for a single hit to be scattered. It was taking 45 min for the HEPA to clean the room to close to zero at the 2 smallest sized bins.

One last thing... I can take a hit in one room and go into another and add thousands of particles into that new space just by breathing.

Do you get high of a cloudy room? I dunno. To say it does nothing doesn't sound right though.

Growing up I had a medium sized half cocker that we would get baked w/ a lot when my brothers & I were teenagers. Our dog was happy, playful, loving (& hungry) when we did this. Our dog lived to be 22.

My neighbor's dog is one of the biggest stoners I've ever met! She's a large Rott & anytime you come by, if she smells weed on you, she'll start jumping on ya, pin ya down & lick your face. She licks the air & inhales everyone's exhales, following the green around the room. Whole time, she's running around, lovin' on people, happy as can be. I've never seen any dog get as baked as this. Hell, she could probably vape a few of this forums microdosers under the table. The dog is healthy, intelligent & going strong at age 18.

Is Marijuana Bad For Dogs? (Research Studies)

Is marijuana safe for dogs? There are cases where some dogs have had longer lifespans thanks to the use of marijuana. Despite the opening for funding due to a hemp provision in a 2014 farm bill, however, there is very little research that has been done to date. For this reason, we are unable to provide you with 100% accuracy as to whether marijuana is bad, good or safe for your dog.

You need more on anecdotal evidence for your post to mean anything. Regarding whether or not marijuana is safe or good for dogs you should contact your vet rather going on what you think you know.

Interesting. A little more goes into the lung than comes out. What does happen if you put a person in the room for 45 min. or so instead of the HEPA filter? Does the unit compensate for humidity?

You probably want to use products low in limonene or it might make you blink.;)
Here's the scientific data:

"The effect on human eye blink frequency of exposure to limonene oxidation products and methacrolein."
