Yeah, I'm sure you are right, @Summer. I waited until the M18 tips were available to pick up just that, as I didn't really need an M18 body. The black one I need. :cool: (I mean should have :uhoh:)
The sandblasted M was kind of an aftermarket extra step. The black coating is more of a beginning to end kind of difference.

I don't see how they can not sell them individually. If someone loses or damages their black cap they would logically want a black replacement. +, it's a missed sales opportunity as those that don't need/want another vapcap, but would pick up a black cap for their existing vapcaps only because they won't discolor the way the steel ones do. The one you save for company. ;)

Hope you are right... but it literally says "available for a limited time" on the add I got by email....

Which... if correct... means it will likely be treated like the sbM... and only sold as a complete unit... But maybe, hopefully, not??

I read the add as limited time too but after a second look I think the "limited time" part applied to the 20% off and free shipping deal not the availability of Shadow M.

Personally I would prefer the shadow to be a limited collectible item

Just looked at the email again & I agree that I believe it applies to the BF sale.

The way the 'limited offer' banner was positioned was, I think, was clever advertising to lure potential purchasers to buy NOW for fear of missing out. That doesn't mean that it won't sell out during the sale before being restocked.

I don't think you can compare the black M to the sandblasted M. The SBM really was more of a collectors item. Many of them showed up in the classifieds here & on reddit.

Heya, got 2018 M couple of months ago, but the cap is so stiff and hard to get off/on the bowl compared to 2017 M that I lost... any tips / mods to make it smoother?

I like to collect stuff, especially rarer or specia edition type items and a limited shadow M sounds cool AF

I'm also using a Venom 2, or was rather. I picked mine up at Azarius's brick-and-mortar location in Amsterdam. The rowed triple-flame worked excellent for about a week, but now I've been having problems with it sputtering out, taking 5-10 clicks to light, or being entirely un-ignitable altogether.

The manufacturer offers a warranty but the transatlantic shipping time + costs, would come out to the same or more than a replacement unit altogether, so I'm gonna drop by Azarius today receipt in hand and see if they'll hopefully right this wrong in a resistance-free manner. In any matter, it's a great torch when it works - practically designed for the vapcap even I'd say.

Yeah I was lucky enough to try out and get a sneak peek of both the Shadow and IH a few weeks back. George and crew hosted a informative vape session at a local cafe here in Amsterdam. I've got two M's now (one thanks to that sesh) but I really have a hard case of VAS for the shadow, maybe I'll get the shadow and gift one of my 2018 M's to someone else in need (though I've been using one for hash and one for flower thus far). Induction heater is definitely nifty when you're not on the go I must say.

I was lucky enough to be offered an early look at this sexy black M. But the uk customs held it for ever and now im working in Africa till xmass.... So there'll be something black besides coal in my stocking this year :)

You probably know this but with any jet lighter not lighting.. Check the little wire (where the spark eminates from) inside the mouth of the lighter.. Check it is positioned so the spark is nicely over the gas jets...

instead of being a Shadow M, they should have called this the Shadow "G". Then we'd all be calling it the BF G, or BFG. I'd have to buy one for the name alone then (the gaming reference, not the cheesy giant movie)

Not necessarily true. When I bought my SB M the cap had a defect. They sent me a new regular cap because there were no extra SB caps and no plans to make more. So the Shadow parts might also be a “one and done” run.

Is there any EU (and UK) retailer, who will have a general black friday sale for every dynavap product? I love the black, but I would like to buy some small parts w/o the hassle of import tax and such.
