I have discussed the problem with my partner:
Me: What do you think, most wonderful woman on earth - Would it be okay if I buy another Vapcap?
She: What is a Vapcap?
Me: A vaporizer.
She: Another vaporizer? Why?
Me: It's black.
She: But you already have so many other black vaporizers! Why another one?
Me: It's a Vapcap. I don't have a black Vapcap!
She: Does that matter?
Me: Ehm. What?
She: So the color makes a difference in function, right? It vapes harder, faster, better, safes us money?

It's obvious, at least from a man's perspective - She is PERFECTLY okay with me getting another Vapcap. I am so glad that this is successfully clarified now. Will order as soon as the sale begins!

Hey, George said it has a lower friction coefficient due to the coating process, it's tougher too and he said something about it ' changes the magnetic permeability' and I don't even know what that means but...would it affect induction heating? Maybe?

We don't know! There are arguments in favor!
Now that Dynavap has made it official, I can tell you that I've been using the Shadow M for a couple of weeks with an induction heater (Mini PS).
I have not noticed any noticeable difference between the original 2018 M and the Shadow M with an IH.

If the Shadow M was just anodized it wouldn't be drawing me as much as this reformulated surface seems to be. George is a clever guy. It is gonna be hard to resist even tho quite redundant. Heh.
I can't really tell from the video. Is the knurling that was added for the M18 present on the Shadow M?

The knurling is indeed present.
And they'll probably only sell the black cap with the shadow M.... not separately.... at least that's how they worked it with the sandblasted M.
I dunno for certain of course, just my guess...

I suppose that depends on whether the Shadow M is going to be a limited time availability product or an addition to the line. Given the effort George seems to have gone to to create this I'm betting it is gonna be a new regular item. I can imagine a lot of demand for it, even if only for it's extra stealthiness...

I assume it's attributable to both the regular & XL omnis where you will get the omni for 20%-off & then get an M for $20 + free ship.
I don't see how they can not sell them individually. If someone loses or damages their black cap they would logically want a black replacement. +, it's a missed sales opportunity as those that don't need/want another vapcap, but would pick up a black cap for their existing vapcaps only because they won't discolor the way the steel ones do. The one you save for company.
How could it not be in the regular line? Being black (well, grey) it'll probably be the most purchased M. And it's $15 premium.
