Stale flower

I found an ancient jar of flower when unpacking. I imagine it could be used for cooking but I don't like edibles. Is there anything else I can use it for or is it ready for disposal.

What makes it"stale"............never heard that term regards cannabis before.
Chlorophyll fades from green to yellow and smell becomes muted from differentiation between cultivars.
This commonly happens to outdoor grown in California once winter and spring have passed after a few hot days of summer. I've also seen it from cannabis sitting on store shelves too long in prepackaged bags in Maine as well. The nose knows once you've smelled it once or twice.

The chlorophyll needs to go from green to other for it to actually cure correctly.
Curing only happens from cut to dry.......how that happens determines quality.
You cannot go back and rehydrate to cure nor can you cure while it is too wet.
This is the only part of the process that actually requires any skill or knowledge.
I wrote a bit of what is considered "cannabis truth".........quite a few " breeders" started with seeds I gave them for free.

do you happen to be a tea drinker as T-Sacs paper tea filters work great for a very easy, very nice edible treat, canna hot chocolate.
Put your buds in the filter and simmer in a small pot of heavy cream or half and half cream. The fat picks up the goodies nicely. The tea filter keeps out 99% of the plant material. Add chocolate to the canna-cream and you have a delicious canna-treat.

Most edibles take a lot of effort or taste like crap---this is easy and tastey and potent

I recently discovered a small jar of my homegrown labeled “Blackjack” with a few nugs in it - it has to be at least 15 years old. It still looked good, no mold or anything, and it didn’t smell bad, so I decided to vape a bit in the nano.

About 15 minutes later I was very high, uncomfortably high, with my head on the desk. I had overdone it! It tasted fine and didn’t make me sick. So, old weed is not necessarily bad weed. :D

Are you saying my weed is going to turn yellow early next Summer? Why is that? Is something about California different than places where this doesn't happen? Is it the weather? It didn't happen this Summer with last year's grow, but I might have done something wrong. I'd like to be prepared if something dramatic is going to happen like that. I'd hate to think it is something I'm doing, when it's only the California Effect. :leaf::p:leaf:

I'm tempted by the canna cream but not sure if it will work with stale flower. I think of it as an herb and stale herbs have little taste. Anyway I bought bags for loose tea to try it.
I microdose so whatever I buy lasts months and I still have a lot left from my last purchase.

It's probably fine to smoke or vape, but personally I'd make cannabutter out of it which can then be added to hot chocolate for example.
