Yes she got back to me and we all came to the same conclusion that it was the cords. Your customer service is the best! I’m getting a replacement power supply and extension cords. Glad to hear they are so sturdy hoping this dog lasts me for a while since it is my number uno vape at the moment

Awesome glad to hear it and thanks for the props!

Are you still doing banksia pods ever?

I was getting an alergic reaction to turning them so I'd previously said no.. but I like the look of them so much that yeah I'll probably do some more at some point.

What can I say I guess I'm a glutton for punishment lol

Sooooo this is without a doubt the greatest vape I have ever used. Only annoyance is with the cheap US-AU adapter I use continually coming out of the outlet but that’s nothing to do with the vape. There was some slight user error and water got spilled up the 14mm short GonG. Luckily the vape was far from this mishap, but the screen got soaked. Any worry of rust from this?

I would say you could probably take the screen out and dry it completely then you’d have no problem of rust. I’ve cleaned my stems plenty of times with water and a quick paper towel takes care of the wetness just make sure it’s dry I’ve never had a problem with rust.

This happened about 24 hours ago, I’ll try when I get home, worst case if I don’t trust it I’ll take a screen out of my spare direct draw. Thanks buddy. :)

The screens are stainless steel so you shouldn't have any real rust concerns. :2c::tup:

Hey everyone, as Stu already posted Underdogette and myself are traveling and not in Paradise so we are safe. Thanks so much for all your well-wishes and concern.

Like @Magic9 said our town of Paradise is basically completely gone (85% - 90% of all buildings destroyed?!) which is absolutely heartbreaking.

We're waiting for confirmation that our temporary home (we sold the house last year and had been renting), shop, vehicles, equipment and building with tens of thousands of UDs worth of irreplaceable wood are among that 85-90% but it obviously seems likely. We will let you know once we get that confirmation.

Thankfully all of our friends and family are safe but all have lost their homes and possessions, none of them had more than 15 minutes to evacuate, the fire really burned thru that fast. Fortunately they all have insurance and will rebuild though it might not be in Paradise. There's 'talk' that the town might be abandoned altogether after this given that the entire infrastructure is gone as well. Time will tell I suppose.

As for us we are probably not so 'lucky' as our friends and family. Being that we were renting we were no longer able to carry insurance on anything but our travel trailer (because it was still being paid off) and $2,000 worth on the contents of a small rented storage unit. Nothing else will be covered so once we have confirmation that it's all gone we'll have to figure out where we're going and how we're going to rebuild Underdog from scratch with no home or shop, no equipment, no materials and no money to rebuild. We will rebuild UD but we're just not sure how.

As of now the only UD stuff we have is 2-3 months worth of vapes and accessories that are at the shipping office in Portland.

Right now we're just in shock, none of this seems real. We're trying to make arrangements to get back 'home'. Maybe once we're there and see the ashes with our own eyes it'll become reality. Until then it just seems to be a nightmare.

No black Friday sale because of the September sale, correct? Looking to obtain my first dog (finally decided on it over the evo. A bit cheaper and more durable) so just want to plan in advance.

Hope everything is okay as Magic said!

Thank you Saintcloud. We won't be able to have a black Friday sale this year and to be honest I'm uncertain if we'll have the inventory to even offer anything for our Holiday Sale either. Our limited supply of vapes might not even last that long.

I can report that they are ok. They are traveling and with spotty internet so I don't know if they'll be able to post here but I wanted to let everyone know they are ok. Their town...... not so much. :(

:peace:

Thank you for posting Stu. We're still struggling to get enough internet to take care of the things we need to do online. Using our cell phones for mobile data at the moment but we're in Mexico and the international rates are, well, villainous I guess. If possible I might need you to post an update or two in the future until we get back to NorCal, sending you a message and having you repost will be way less expensive for us than navigating sites and posting directly.

I am glad that Underdogs are safe, and i hope somehow that hell missed the UD workshop ! It makes me really sad ,when i imagine all the hard work, time and $ costing to get things to that point and what the difficulties ahead having to start things from scratch, but i am sure that Underdogs will rise from the ashes so to speak, after all the mastercraftsman behind it is no ordinary man :).
@underdog Sending positive vibes and hoping that you soon will be back with us !

Hey everyone, we got some (not unexpected) bad news.. our truck and trailer are ashes, along with the main shop, separate turning building and some overflow wood storage. Still waiting to find out the fate of main wood storage building but that might take longer as it's harder to get to for the survey teams. Catastrophic losses for us as we were not able to carry insurance on any of it this last year.

Here's a pic from the survey. The debris in the center of the pic was our main shop which we did everything but the turning in. The turning building is off screen to the right and is gone as well.

Hard to wrap my head around 10 years of hard work and investment being totally destroyed in a single morning.

We're trying to make travel arrangements to get back to NorCal this week. Once we get back we'll have further updates. Thanks for all your well wishes and thoughts, together we'll overcome and rebuild.

@underdog F*ck, man! I have no words :(

You mentioned earlier, that you've got still Underdogs left in stock, for a couple of months worth. Do you ship to Europe/Germany (or maybe UK - have a mate there, who could send it over then) and did this mostly work out, regarding customs (missing CE cert.) and so on? If so, I'll order a unit from your website first thing tomorrow morning!
Small contribution, but I guess, ye faster you get your stock turned into cash now, ye better.

I'm a few hours away (in Miranda) but DM me if you guys need any help of any kind. I know a couple of woodworkers in Arcata and Eureka who may have spare equipment and the like. I've appreciated your products for a few years now and would gladly lend a hand if you guys deem it necessary.

Take care. Jah will provide.

You guys are among some of the more exceptional people who I've come to know in this world, a rare breed in a slim class.. generous and good natured, I have only love and appreciation for you guys.. It's always distressing to hear news of bad things happening to good people, especially ones you know, unfortunately disaster doesn't make the distinction.. It's a good thing it takes more than that to defeat the Underdog.. The name really fits you guys like a glove.. If anyone has the potential to literally rise from the ashes, I know you two do.. I'd be glad to be of any help that I can.. I have a couple things I'll PM you about.

Looks can be, and are often deceiving, especially online, where things are largely focused on selling postured appearances, pandering, and seeking approval.. You can bet your bottom dollar that this is not the case w/ Dave & Amanda.. Make no mistake, these people are far greater and more admirable than they would ever care to sell themselves as, whether people are watching or not.. a hallmark of truly sincere and authentic people.. What's seen is the tip of the iceberg.. While none of that needs to be mentioned, I wanted to anyway.

The news from Cali' and Paradise is horrendous, and to learn that Underdog have suffered amongst all these other poor folk is just heartbreaking.
I am however glad that you two are unhurt.

The firefighters and other emergency services that have worked, and are working to save those at risk, and their homes, are the pride of your nation (and indeed any nation they risk their lives in).
The best that mankind has to offer stands between hell and humanity, and they deserve to be recognised as real heroes.

I hopw that Paradise can recover from this, but my fingers are crossed especially hard for Dave and Amanda, and the future of @underdog, there's nothing better than when the underdog you support fights their way to victory, and you know we're all thinking of you guys
