MUSA Wooden Vape

So I was looking for a new desktop vaporizer and was pretty close to ordering an Cloud Evo...then I saw this thread. Comparable to the Evo but a beautiful wooden device with a bulb heater? I am intrigued

How long is the average waiting time if you decide to order a Musa? Also I am kinda clueless about the whole bulb vaporizer thing, do they need replacements often or do they last long like other heating elements?

I am pretty sure it is not comparable to the EVO...
They are in different ballparks altogether in my opinion.

Trying the Musa with dosing caps : so far so good.
Not super handy but better vapor production, no scorching until now (4th cap), even with big rips, better looking abv.
Dosing caps : if you like them, they're good with all vapes they fit! :lol:

@dudeguy I never vaped with the EVO but the Musa is a cloud machine for sure. The waiting wasn't long for me but it all depends if any unit is ready to sell. A light bulb can last very long the good thing is that you can replace it yourself in case.

the bulbs are made for about 4000 hours lifetime. but since they are dimmed for about 50%, the lifetime might be much higher than this.

for example:
i used my first Musa almost in 24/7 mode for about 2 years without having to replace the bulb.
(btw, the replacement is easy to do by yourself)

Any comments about the similarity to the EVO?
Still hunting for a video showing an actual session and cloud production.

It has a similar loading basket. That's all.

Thanks but that is an old video...
I have been asking for videos almost since this thread started and they are few and far between.

I know how it works with the ELBs but it would be nice to see a whole session and a higher heat one hit extraction and then the resultant ABV.

I would need something like a tripod.

Hate doing those vapour porn vids. They're a PITA to make all on your own, due to the lack of at least a 3rd arm or hand to manage the camera/phone with and once you've finished and upload them, nobody even watches

I would disagree...
Hard to make, yes but with a bit of thought you can have the camera/phone supported by anything handy. Just takes some thought.
Have you ever been to the "Milkshot" thread? So many user videos and soooooo many views...
Just my opinion.

Nah. Didn't even had an idea, a 'Milkshot' thread existed here. Just saw some vids, when s/o placed them in the regular vape threads so far and did a short one myself for my Misty log (page 5 or 6 or so) quite some while ago. Used a coffee mug as a makeshift rig there, but it was still a PITA

Personally, I just don't find them very interesting and rarely watch them myself if I come across one.

I mainly watch the ones of vapes I am interested in possibly buying and find user videos are helpful in seeing what a vape can actually do.
Most new vapes have user videos showing a full range of use from experienced to newbies using them.

An example would be the Firefly, the company video shows thick, super dense vapor...never seen that from a users video and never able to reproduce it myself...

Just my opinion and especially so when it is a rare item in the wild like the Musa.

Many reviewers and demonstrations don't actually use weed. They'll use some random herbs and drip some eliquid on there to give big clouds.
I occasionally drop a little into my EQ cyclone bowl with some dry or low quality weed, I tend to use the original bowl and whip to clear the spilled bits of weed off my tray or some trim, then a bit of flavored juice.

Yeah! That's what crossed my mind too, when occasionally watching a vid that contains some shots of nearly impossible dense seeming vapour. I mean, I can whitewall a bong good and fast, but some things out there do indeed look a bit too dense to make sense, for my taste. And this is one of the reasons, I don't find vapour porn very interesting personally.

That is why I prefer to see our members milk shots as I know most of us just use herb for videos.

While I'm not the creator, I have just ordered my very own Musa!
I contacted him and he is working on my order this week, I do not believe there is a waiting list. At least not much of one - about payment method, he told me he would prefer bank transfer due to paypal tax, but is willing to work something out.

I will say it took nearly a week and a half to get a hold of him on here while instagram he replied quite quickly! Ofcourse I'll be back here once my unit arrives and when I'm testing it!

I should also mention he does it in his spare time so he seems to have limited time and such to work on these, meaning your experience may vary, just putting in my 2 cents.

The base unit is 250+shipping. I personally got an extra internal glass adapter as well (in case one breaks) for 10 euros, an extra light in case that one breaks (6 euros) and an extra ELB (10 euros) and shipping.

Which one is the one that's discontinued? I know it's not strictly on topic I would like the name to do research for my VAS :-P
