new factory default for firmware is to have w2c set to 1 (warmup will continue to cruise directly). so when picking up a cold tubo one can just tripple click, set it aside and prepare a stem. once ready tubo will be hot and cruising, ready for fast action. imo the easiest way to get consistent results.

also @JibbsIsMe i did not forget about the eco-cruise/warmup interference, i hope you found a resistance that you can work with. i am giving it some thought and plan on taking actions in the next firmware update, but that will take some time, rest assured it will get worked on.

obviously its quite annoying during use :rolleyes:

Real quick, i know their not gonna throw someone under the bus by giving thier email but did anyone statethey won? I dont think Ive ever not seem some sort oh "Dude im stoked. My TUBO is in."post

I've had a wee go on a low temperature and it was wicked . I'll have a proper go after dinner . I used the short stem with whip and I loved it . I did have problems trying to put the basket screen into the bent stem , so I didn't get to try that.
I also got a wooden stem , can you cap those off or do you need to use the capsules ? I try and stay away from aluminium now , although they are really handy with my crafty .
I assume the wooden stem and glass and cooler thing can all be taken apart for cleaning ? Should I be doing that before using ?

When i try to put a rimmed screen in my Bent stem it wont fit into the Tubo because its just a hair long and its wobbles like crazy
I just use the non rimmed basket screen halfway down the joint and just giveit a light tamp so nothing falls out

Dude its so great right?! Be careful when taking her for a spin, it'll feel like teaching your kid how to drive: Something you normally have complete control over but are now (for some ludicrous reason) you're learning to trust a New Device. As I said it makes "a sneaky HUGE cloud" even when your not trying, 165 is when I posted that half legible "It's a Killa" (who talks like that beside rappers, damn I was gone) post.

Lamart seems to settle in the basket screen before it gets to you like when I ordered (what I thought was 2 extra) an exrta, one was able to fit into the Bent MP and it wouldnt fit in the capsule stem *excuse me I meant the WPA* and vice versa with the Stems' Top Hat but they do have a machine that presses 15mm screens into that shape (or go ghetto and get a cheap Grommet Puncher and wing it, which is what I did for my WS screens when the Screen Press started smaking that squeaking Metal-on-Metal sound so I just went to Office Depot and bought a Grommet press/puncher.

Im not too sure how well the screen comes out but yes, it can be disassembled to clean/storagr. I highly reccommend putting any sort of organic or Vaporizer wood treatment to help bring out the beauty of the wood along with protection from ash and other extremely dry particles can can be smeared into the grain of the wood and stain it. The butter is like a super thin line of defense and also seems to helps with how much the wood expands when heated up but this I can only confirm on SBL products.

Really quick @bluesith have you used your Cap Stem yet? Im trying to gauge about how bad the cracks are to my stem and it would really help if I could see a few pictures of the capsule end rim and see how mine is in terms of condition. Id really appreciate it.

What’s the usual shipping time to the East Coast USA after marked shipped for world economy? It’s been 2 weeks since marked shipped and I’m worried my unit is lost, is this normal?

I think it took about 3 weeks when I got my order the first time with economy shipping. It all depends on the time of year and how long it takes thru custom

if you are interested in the concept as seen in this video. i can build some like them. the hunt for the air pump with enough airflow but silent is more difficult than i thought.

the capsule stems dont work with the basket screens, the diameter is too wide. you can pack the wooden stem directly and tamp a bit so most will stay in place. i often use my wooden stems like this, very fast results.
you can take the glass insert out of the stem and rinse with water, i dont throw dirt at them tho, should be fine out of the box as well :D

economy usually takes 2- 3 weeks to the US. i had some packages take up to 2 months tho, dont know what kind of journey around the world they had, but they showed up eventually.




made two new how-to videos one for hot capsule operation and one to show how to shape basket screens for slightly different joint dimensions. also redid the screen placement one:
will add them to the shop and tubo.lamart.ch shortly

I am interested how much would it cost? and is the airpump really that loud? Is it louder then a volcano?

have you tried locking your stem like in this video?

economy usually takes 2- 3 weeks to the US. i had some packages take up to 2 months tho, dont know what kind of journey around the world they had, but they showed up eventually.

In regards to the capsule stems.

I did not like them. The capsules were to fiddly to open for me. Did not really like the way they just slotted in the stem. Too easy to bend the capsules. The stems themselves did not seem great quality, you cant use the stem without a capsule. I dont think i like the s&b capsules, they seem to mishappen after the first use. Overall not for me. Sold and brought some eds tnt stems.

I kinda agree about the s & b capsules . I think they are only supposed to be a single use capsule as well . Although they were nice and clean when using my crafty I decided I wanted aluminium out of the loop . I'll be trying my medium stem with just a nice tamp down and no capsule .

Loving my new Tubo Evic. The capsule stems work great for me with or without the capsules. They also work well with the vapcaps. So I can heat it with a torch or even my WoodScents log. Giving me even more options. Overall capsule stems are a great buy.

Ugh can’t wait for my Tubo to arrive. Everyday is disappointment and worry when it’s not here. What options do I have if my Tubo got lost in the mail or stolen? Just curious if I’m SOL if my unit never arrives.

Hehe I was just the same , then from out of nowhere , quicker than expected it was there .
Totally worth any wait . I did have tracking but that wasn't really that informative. Hold tight buddy

I actually asked that question last week . I am now in possession of my tubo , however not home with it unriu Friday. I'll measure it then for you , unless someone else does first . There are pictures way back in this thread , although none of the pictures actually show up for me , if you Google tubo evic dimensions, and look and pictures , it does show you the pics on here.
