Love, love, love my SSV, but think I will replace the knob with yellow or purple one day when I'm putting in an order.

The 7th floor website is mind blowing with the levels of customization and choices. They cover every budget, I'm looking forward to buying some parts soon and maybe even a cool hat and/or shirt!
The all glass SSV mouthpiece/wand and Elev8r vaporizer are also severe temptations for me!

Yeah. Decoration was all I was going for...Largely to hide the whip as it gets dirty.

That's a good idea Ramahs!
I had an tiny African metal hookah pipe with a whip like that and it tied the MP to the pipe very well as if by magic.
It was later a surprise to find that it covered regular tubing all along.

Hope you have seen on the website they also do the SSV tubing in various colors which you can't see through if that would do the trick for you.
I'm more open to the idea of a purple whip now than ever before!

I also saw in a pet store some tinted or smoked aquarium tubing of the right size, and I wondered if it would be fit for purpose here!

Thanks @blackstone I've been REALLY enjoying the ssv. It never let's you down. Water is definitely on my to do list, but I'm really loving it dry. Anybody use a wooden mp, and if so which?

I had a dry session after i posted that time and I remembered it's really something alright. I'm going to be doing it some more!
Had it on the lowest setting for max taste and so I really took my time it was just right.

I haven't used a wood MP yet I think but I think some bamboo would work. You could look up the Magic Flight dart wood stem as it looks like it fits a whip, or even any Launch box or Vapman wood stem might work for you.
There must be others too.

Re: wood mouth pieces, I have been thinking on custom ones for a while, especially for the Helios which lacks any at all (got the idea when I was considering the Venus) I'd pm ed, see if he'd be up for a custom. Been thinking on modding a Launch box stem too.

Yes, I am fully aware of 7th Floor's colored whip-hoses.
A softer, more decorative material just looks and feels better to me than the raw rubber/silicon/(I have medical-grade silicone hosing that came with my DDave mod kit I picked up for my DBV some time ago) that the hose is made of.

I'd make sure the aquarium tubing is safe for food/heating (It's the middle of the night- how did I want to say that?) I have the 7th Floor tubing in purple, yellow, magenta, and black. Love the colors. Never thought of covering the tubing, but it seems like fun.

Almost there...
The SSV has landed!!
Sexy black bag with a full silver unit inside. Unfortunately it has quite the defect on it but there are colour replacements available and this thing may just get upgraded!
Turn it to 2pm and give it a good heat up time.
Load the wand, insert the ground glass wand and inhale.
It's as easy as that folks!
Massive tasty clouds with medium brown ABV!
I could go hotter and will most likely later but the effects are awesome.
Totally different beast than the LSV.
Not sure why I never considered this vape before!
Only thing I am not a huge fan of is the tubing...
Would be awesome for it to be all glass.

I can see this guy sticking around for a long time!
Especially since my legal grow will be starting in a few months time.
It does micro loads well but those full packs are just amazing!

How exciting! Ima vape a bowl and celebrate the arrival of your SSV.

7th Floor sells an all-glass draw stem. I've been considering getting one for some time.

Though, I've got the original non-ground-glass heater cover and wand, not the spherical or conical...so I'd need to get the spherical heater cover and wand as well...which is the only reason I haven't done that yet. Cost.

@lazylathe ask @Vitolo about the all glass! Lsv wand for the win. You didn't get the standard ssv setup, but the ground glass? Did you order a cosmetic second?

I did order a cosmetic seconds for $160 off 7th Floor, they were having a sale.
It came with ground glass connections and a hands free thingy that works well.

Is the ground glass version a good one to have? I can always but different heater covers to test different setups.

@Madri-Gal
Thanks for taking a hit for me!!
Much appreciated.
It was a good first night with the SSV.
No hot spots or combustion, just perfectly roasted ABV after every session!
Fast heat up time is a bonus as well.

The design is still a bit odd to me with the controls on the other side of the vape and using the back side or the vape. It would be cool to have all the controls and custom knob on one side to admire all of it.

Thanks Vitolo!
A few questions on the setup though.

Is the LSV heater cover exactly the same dimensions than the SSV cover?
It looks awkward to use from your stance over the vaporizer, or was that just for the photo?

I have a feeling that changing the heater cover will alter how the SSV works out of the box. With the LSV I found it much harder to control the session and almost always had a hot spot in the load.

Think I will stick to the standard setup for now and will look into the all glass version from 7th Floor.
Thanks @Ramahs for the tip!

LSV HC is same exact proportions... all 7th floor stuff is, except the LSV HC is not bent like the SSV HC.
The transfer wand is the same in both set-ups.
YES... one you must stand over, but the other you do not.
55 bucks for the glass wand? I would surely cry when it got broken!!!
It is sturdier and thicker glass that does not break easily.

It's great, right? And the blem units are a great deal. I'm fine with the ground glass, as I can use @DDave mods with it, and it's sometimes nice to use 14mm for quick hits. 7th Floor had the Super Surfer on sale in August, for $200, so now I have that one, and it has spherical HC and wand. I like those as well. I don't know about the standard glass set up, but if @Vitolo likes it, I am convinced it's great.
I'm thrilled you are here, and the SSV is working for you.
I'm wishing you much pleasure and happiness, and with the SSV that's pretty much guaranteed.

@Vitolo is so knowledgeable!

I’m going to put my SSL back in rotation.
Shoutout 2 @lazylathe 4 sending me love in a brotherly way!

Was wondering what's a good flexible whip I can get for cheap? Something like the mflb or should I just get the mflb whip?

Just attached the tube to my RooR and now I am in heaven!
Milking the tube with just a thin layer of herb covering the screen.
One hit and nice medium brown ABV.
Load more in the bowl and the milk just keeps coming...

Very happy with my purchase so far!

Quick question for those in the know....
Can you buy a top replacement for the SSV? I only see lower plates for sale.
If not, may have to look into a wrap.

I have been intrigued by this vape for a very long time and never purchased one for some reason.
Had the LSV for a while and was not a great fan due to the hot spots at times but it gave HUGE hits.

Bought a blemished unit from 7th Floor today and will be joining the gang!
Seems like I have some reading to do but any tips for a quick start would be appreciated!
Micro dosing tips also if possible!

Let the reading commence!
Go get yourself a ddave kit if you don't have customs to deal with if not get yourself a home made version and some arizer baskets and use it that way.transforms things no end.

@Vitolo thanks! Is there a difference between the standard clear tubes and the colored? I am really loving this thing. I'm pretty vaped out rn from a half filled bowl lol. Do you prefer using the standard mp or the flat one more?
