Discontinued Ghost MV1

@bigdaddy, it's a Halloween special they posted for the next couple of days. It seems that the MV-1 Bundle may be an ongoing sales pkg., at least for a little bit. But you are correct: Had you bought the Halloween special & then thrown in the the extra battery, you would have come out $40 ahead of the Bundle purchase. I would contact GV CS & ask for a credit, if not, cancel the order & repurchase. Between the Bundle & Halloween offer, this was not well thought out by GV.

Had a great deal of trouble putting the heat sink back together with stealth model. I could not get it to go back to the original position. It does not leak using the official test. The stem is very wobbly at the position I have normally used. Though it seems fine might use silver heat sinks going forward.

Hey FC members...

MV1 Bundle and Halloween Promotion
Thank you for your patience and for allowing us an opportunity to respond to the questions that have been raised over the last few hours.
For the avoidance of doubt and to help clear up any confusion, the MV1 bundle offer has been live on our website for at least 2 months before Stealth was even launched.
We thought it would be great idea to offer a Halloween promotion and the last thing we wanted to do was offend or upset anyone.
As a goodwill gesture on our part, we would like to invite anyone who purchased an MV1 Bundle between the 24th October and now, to contact Customer Support for a $60 refund on the card they used to make the original purchase.
We hope this will be received favorably and thank you for allowing us the opportunity to address the issue.

I just saw the Halloween special for 295.00. Strange,I just bought the stealth bundle for 395.00 yesterday and the only difference is I’m getting a xtra battery for 100 bucks more? Says they are 60.00 by themselves. Am I missing something? Is it because it’s the stealth version?

So I jumped on board the Halloween special. If I had not read the comments on this thread I'm not sure the MV1 would have been on my radar. So thanks all!

Working my way through the FAQ's and vids while I wait for shipping. As stated, does the initial battery charge need to be done with the USB overnight? Or can you use the fast charger for this 1st charge if you have (are getting) one?

I have been loving my ghost so much :). Selling off my mighty and a couple other vapes to grab myself a stealth :). I just love dry vapor, this is the only portable I can use dry without causing any kind of throat irritation. Almost every single convection unit has hurt my chest and throat. The mv1 is just so smooth and half the time I don’t even realize I’m pulling in a ploom of vapor. Haven’t had any issues with overheating like it did with the previous units I had, also the new heatsink eliminated a lot of the issues that were around in the beginning. Love it! :)

Thank you Nerissa for clarifying this. :) As most of us already have our MV-1s, we didn't even know that there was a Bundle Special running until the Stealth Black offer came up. I thought that the Bundle Special started at the same time as the SB offer.

As long as the heat sink passes the official leak test, it will work fine. It can be difficult to get the heat sink reassembled 'just as new' at first, but the MV1 will work fine if it passes the test, and it will get better with practice and a little breaking in. As for the stem, it's looser by design so it doesn't lift up on the heat sink when you pull it out.

Can you charge the spare battery in fast charger or otherwise while not on unit ?

I have done an initial charge with the spare on the fast charger with no problems. I'm digging a little deeper to find out if there are any benefits to a slower initial charge. I'll let you know if I find out anything.

Any recommendations or advise for breaking in the new device? I’ve heard about a burn off. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Anyone else having issues connecting their new Stealth mv1 to the app? Running android. My other mv1 connects fine. Tried deleting the old 1 and trying to pair the stealth but its not happening.

This is definitely the best question to ask when thinking about buying an MV1. How you react to the following will let you know if it's for you.

The operation becomes easier, but you'll never honestly "like" it in the sense that "wow I'm impressed with this design." No that wont happen in terms of simple operation. Rather, you tolerate it, become better at it, and, for some, come to enjoy the ritual, basically.

Two or three times out of ten the lid will slide off kilter, or the crucible catches for a moment before dropping into place, or a silicone gasket is not set right, or it doesn't seem to turn on no matter what you do for a few seconds, or some spec of herb is between the lid and the crucible, or you singe a finger slightly and drop the crucible or lid because they're hot, or the app wont sync, or you'll run through the lights two or three times trying to change a setting before getting it right, or you'll forget to change the battery early, or you didnt disconnect the battery last use and it stayed in stand by and battery is now dead, or the lid or the whole thing needs a cleaning, or its overheated and you need to take it apart and wait to cool...

It's a good vape when it works.

It's a sitting on a couch with a coffee table in front of you vape. It isn't always simple to operate, and it is not very discrete or that portable. The crucible holders helps tremendously.

Load it for your friends and they can enjoy it easy enough, but dont expect them to load it unless they're familiar with the process. If you're going to pass it around a lot, you'll need two or three units because the units cannot handle many crucibles in a row on high heat back to back (which you'll have it on because you'll want the biggest clouds to show it off)... The new stealth unit likely helped a few, but definitely not all of the above.

Thems' the downsides as to operation. The upsides are tasty cool vapor and great clouds for a battery powered unit. The vapor is so cool it creeps up on you, like others have said. However, it has major competition that isnt nearly as expensive, clouds just as big, and without nearly "the little things to know so it works good" learning curve.

Ya, thanks a lot for that.
In terms of major competition, yes I have 2 of the same vaporizer that do this exact same thing but are easier to use, even if more expensive(one I at least got on a major sale, would have ordered more if I could have it was a 50% sale) . I mean, I already have 2 of them, just need to mail them in for repairs (already paid for... Last year... I'm slow).
I'll still follow, interested to see how people enjoy it and if they update it. Even the person who recommended me my current portable likes it, but I like the current one I have more, and even his description of it, I don't see what I'm gaining.
Lots of people seem to tolerate it though, I just saw the reviews and didn't think I'd ever want to do that. The extremely popular vape that relies on an audio cue here even turns me off eventually.
I guess I'm just picky, I'd pay any retail price I've seen so far for a vaporizer, as long as it gives me everything I want. Vaporizer is a very important tool now that I understand it. It's the only thing I say, "tell me about the best, do not factor cost into your opinion.".
I completely disagree. I am impressed by the design of this vape. From the weight of it to the crucible system. I would not part with this vape for anything. I am in love with my Ghost. But to each his own.

Just to mention, 420vapezone did a Ghost IG stream yesterday & he said that he got 12 crucibles out of 1 battery charge, all on level 5 (i.e. 2 red) & the unit didn't overheat once.
What about the operation of the device impresses you? Specifically the operation, as everything else works well. When I saw the operation in reviews, I just thought there was no way I'll remember, let alone have a friend use the device without preparing everything for them every time.

What makes using the actual device enjoyable?
