Discontinued The Hammer Vaporizer

This sucks..i love this vape..now i dont wanna use it but my lifetime warranty isnt worth shit.

Bummer for sure, but a 'lifetime warranty' works both ways....... They are 'dead'?

There's hope still, the basic Butane burner is a standard/common item. And that's where I think it's most likely to fail (valve, striker, linkage and other moving parts)? A guy with as failed on could consider buying a similar unit and doing some parts swapping?

Man that’s kind of a bummer.. I love my hammers but they definitely don’t get used in a routine. Good luck to the Hammer team in whatever they pursue! :peace:

Indeed, a very good/responsive bunch. I recall when the 'will this work up on the mountain skiing?' issue came up, they took one up much higher in an airplane ferrying up some skydivers! That's cool.

I don't use mine much, something like the TV vapes I have that have also suffered 'maker no longer here to support us', fearing routine use will kill them off. Instead I use them sparingly and enjoy the experience. Now I'll have to temper use of my Hammer (good for walks in the park you know....), not so much because I fear the unit failing past ability to repair, I just seem to have an affinity for breaking the glass stems. I still have two IIRC, but have broken more than that already.

Hopefully they're off in some secret place cooking up something else special to offer us......but KF is right, whatever they get into next, best wishes?

So would those of you who own this say it is similar technique wise to the MFLB? I am okay with that as I love my MFLB. But this would be better on a hike. Would you suggest just one or get two?

No, I would not say that. IMO they are entirely different. One is an under powered conduction vape, basically incapable of combustion. The other is a convection vape with virtually unlimited power on tap. If you use an aggressive technique (as many do) you ride the fine line of combustion.

And it (Hammer) uses frail glass stems. You need to carry a backup of some sort. Once you master it, you can dependably get a solid hit very fast.

Different devices, different technologies, different techniques called for. Different skill sets, very little in common. Not very similar IMO. You should own both.......then you can make the only judgement that counts, how it 'fits your pistol'.

Purchase made! And these are Pro models with lock on stems, the bigger volume ones right? How do these compare to a Fury 2 wpa (original) or a Solo stem? What kind of butane should I get? Vector?

Any sort you want, it's by no means critical. The basic lighter used here (and on lots of other products) is designed to run on 'crude Third World junk'. High purity gas is a waste, unlike some units like Iolite (where you have no control valve to tweak to adjust for minor issues, or making BHO (where you might consume impurities).

I keep a can or two of 'the good stuff' (Vector) for the Iolites and then use the cheapest stuff that can call itself Butane from local Smoke Shops of chain stores at half that price or less in everything else. Hammer is 'indirectly heated' (the fire heats the outside of the tube you draw air through the inside, there's a SS wall between them).

Premium fuel is wasted but OK, the cheap stuff works just as well. And is easier to get. Your call.

I notice a night and day performance difference from premium tane and low quality. I use low quality for my lighters but the Hammer gets the premium sauce.

You are indeed a perceptive man. The difference in energy is trivial, really, the issue is contaminants which make up a fraction of a percent at most and are usually flammable themselves as I understand it. Propane, for instance. FWIW, they add Butane to Propane deliveries in cold areas, up to 40% or so IIRC so it has enough pressure to deliver to the house when the tank is buried in snow. Costs them a bit more to do so, and the customer gets less BTUs per pound so it's generally avoided.

I see this as a lighter, nothing fancy, unlike some Butane powered products. In fact I have a couple of the lighter (alone) versions around somewhere. And a soldering iron based on one which I use from time to time.

But you should do what you think is best. My opinion is the cheap stuff is fine, for the reasons above.

BLOWN AWAY...the name of a certain father son movie ...and how I feel after using the hammer...
Aside from holding the ignition down ,which I can see would be difficult for some,I'm baffled as to why this vape doesn't have more buzz.
No cords no batteries ,cute little plastic tool box case ...seriously though how cool is this Vape.
30 seconds or less I'm getting super thick tasty vapor.
No wispy hits indeed and I swear I'm still feeling last nights session:o:o
Checked with randy and nobody besides the manufacturer carries the WPA .
Dry stem works great in some glass with a little silicone on the end to mate with the 14f
Wonder if I could find that elusive mostly red hammer pro....:myday:

I had forgotten about this one. @VAPEHUNTER had let me try his a couple months ago.
At it's current price point it is almost in the impulse buy catagory. I guess what that means is, I don't need another fucking vaporizer yet I impulsively bought this one today.
It really is ! Still at 40 right ?
About to fire mine up after one excellent bike ride :)
