@Grifo I blame the caps for the mix up. They have my brain all milky from dabs =P

I scooped some inserts, tweezers and an axial coil

I was planning on waiting for the 30mm opaque inserts, but 2 clear 30mm and a pair of tweezers for $20 and I couldn't pass it up!

Once the opaque inserts and mood mats are in, I'll be placing another order. Think I might get 2 mood mats, one in each color. One for my bubbler to sit, the other for accessories.

Shane, what size did you say the mood mats will be?

Ok so I have to post about my most recent order. Got a 25mm axial coil, a beveled edge opaque 25mm banger and some terp pearls last week. Thanks Shane! You hooked up an amazing and fast order as always. It’s truly a pleasure buying from your store. The axial coil has been a game changer. The dabs are just better. I mean I guess it’s obvious that adding heat to the bottom of the nail would create a better dab with more even vaporization.

The terp pearls surprised me. They seem to add more surface area and when you spin them around with a bubble cap they seem to agitate the oil more and give milkier hits. If anything the best way to put it is with the pearls my dab takes less breaths to complete.

Gotta give this order 10/10. I will be ordering again soon. I wanted to ask some of the expert dabbers on here they’re opinion about caps. I have a chadbro bubble cap which is the same dimensions as a PB cap and then I have a few custom colored caps that work almost as good as that one. I bought a spinning cap from bororegon and I don’t personally like spinning the pearls like that.

I think a bubble cap that randomly agitates them is better then spinning them fast in a circle. But it is cool to watch lol. I guess my question about caps is, should I worry about getting a quartz pi clear bubble cap? Won’t it basically be the same as my chadbro 25mm bubble cap? I have more caps than I need. I prefer my chadbro and 2 other custom and very restrictive bubble caps I have.

The only directional style cap I have and like is a Zach brown V2 and it still doesn’t satisfy me like a good bubble cap. So yeah any bubble cap advice is appreciated. I’m using 2 six millimeter terp pearls and I like making them move around with a restricted bubble cap the chadbro being my favorite so far. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I really gotta recommend this axial coil/banger set up from @710Coils it’s the best concentrate set up I’ve used and it works so much better with an axial coil and a beveled edge banger than my cheap non beveled banger with a barrel coil. Another 10/10 order from shane. I will be getting a mood mat and opaque inserts when they come in.

Just wondering if I should add that quartz pi cap. I’m thinking I could save the $30 if it’s gonna be the same as my chadbro. Thanks again Shane. Order was fast and perfect as always. Hope everyone is having a great day.

@710Coils are you still making your own caps and stands? I was hoping to wait until yours were out.

@StormyPinkness I am. I didnt want everyone to go without while I got mine finished and so I added the Quartz Pi caps as they are a very solid cap

I've got my temp down to 525 on my Auber, don't have an accurate way to measure to the actual dish temp.

I already had 7, 5mm ruby and sapphire beads, and have been using those in the banger. Been loving them. I have a ruby steamroller on order from Constant Gems, and look forward to dropping that in my banger too.

Might be able to drop my temp another 10 or 20, will have to experiment.

Like @Roth and @StormyPinkness I couldn't pass up on the deal. My other order hasn't even arrived yet. lol

When I saw the slit in the insert it reminded me of a banger I received with glass I got from DHgate. The banger had a slit in it. When I looked at it I thought WTF, how is this supposed to work. So I messaged the seller and the convo went something like this:

me: the banger I received has a slit in it making it useless
seller: that's a new style of quartz banger
me: there is no way this can work with the slit as you can't carb it
seller: oh
seller: we can replace with a different banger on your next order

Guessing they saw a picture of an insert with the slit in a banger (like the pic on @710Coils store) and didn't realize it was an insert inside a banger? Made me laugh when I saw the insert.

@ew91 toro made a slit banger and sold a solid carb cap. The cap had no holes and so the air would enter the banger through the slit. They never caught on and so they went away. But it sounds like China hasn’t gotten the memo about this yet =p

@710Coils That makes a lot more sense! May have to dig it out and take a torch to it if I can find something to carb it.

I've had mine for a couple weeks now and it's the only cap I'm using. Pairs very well with Shane's beveled edge banger. Thanks for the tip @Shooby!

So I only have the 25mm flavor right now. But I will have more proper fitting 30mm opaque coming in soon

I'm curious what your opinion is on taste difference with quartz, ruby, sapphire. I'm sure you're getting that question a lot.

@StormyPinkness Here is my personal take on the 3 in pearl form with a 6mm size

Quartz: Taste was good and I had to lower temps 5 to 10 degrees to account for the 3 pearls
Sapphire: Taste was much better and I had to lower temps 10 to 15 degrees to account for the 3 pearls
Ruby: Taste was almost the same as sapphire and I had to lower temps 10 to 15 degrees to account for the 3 pearls

I think the biggest takeaway with the pearls is you can drop your overall temps by just adding 3 of them into your banger and letting them saturate with heat for a moment. They do not need to spin fast to work and any cap that can move them around will work good for the basic movement of the pearls in the banger

Also reading your post I'm just now realizing I only put 2 of the pearls in, I have no idea why I haven't been using the third one...

@StormyPinkness At some point I want to carry them. Its just a matter of working through my list of sweet dab gear to add to my growing store =)

Haven't noticed a difference between the ruby and sapphire. I definitely prefer them over the quartz though.

And like was mentioned, getting them spinning isn't necessary, just get them moving around the banger in some way.


I didn't really think about whether I wanted curved or straight tipped tweezers, just selected the straight. Any advatanges/disadvantages between the two, Shane?




Edit: Oh, forgot the contest closed now! Gotta say, I like my odds! Not as many people entered as I would have expected, but I guess that bodes well for us.
