How much will inserts cost? Looking forward to adding them to the arsenal.
And I've never owned a mood mat before, but have a feeling an octopus will grace my first!
@Roth I am still nailing down the price. But I am thinking of doing something like a bundle, where you get pearls, insert, and tweezers =). Whatever I come up with. I promise it will be much more economic than the rest of the dab world

Hi gang. Okay Im in a momentary dilemna. I have 2 different bubble caps in basket and am torn as to which way to go.
One is the Quartz Pi.
The other is the Gordoscientific riptide from Vapefiend UK.
It wil cost me £38 to get the Quartz Pi shipped here. £50 if it picks up customs.
The Gordo is £70 but Im hoping I can get it for £60 except the Hi5 discount code isnt wirking atm.
Our good friend @gunmetalshark is a big fan of the Gordo cap. He says it is his outright favorite, and I respect this man. He thinks the Quartz Pi is pretty standard for the potential £50 price tag.
However he told me the Gordo cap has more restriction. Some prefer this.
I prefer more open, but I have no experience with bubble caps to know what I like best.
Shane also said I may need to raise my temps a bit because the Gordo cap lets a lot of air through.
I dont know how much of a downside that would be? Maybe better for my sensitive system to seek the lowest dish temp possible?
But then I was under the impression that the pearls enable a lower dish temp? Which may even things out?
Now what seems to be the main attribute and selling point of the Gordo cap- how it will spin the pearls really good, much better than the Quartz Pi.
Is this the only benefit to the Gordo? I have pearls coming. If I get the Quartz Pi cap, would the pearls not be much use? As in no point using them?
And would it be so much better to use the pearls always with a cap that allows them to spin properly like the Gordo? I mean if price is no issue, what would be YOUR preferred setups?:
Standard bubble cap like Quartz Pi, slightly less restrictive, slightly lower dish temps, but wont spin the pearls (or not so effectively).
Or Gordo cap, slight added restriction, but will spin the pearls real good?
@gunmetalshark tells me the cheaper caps should also fit and work good. If my cheap Dhgate banger bubble cap fits okay, then the Gordo may be worth having to make good use if the pearks, as a pose to the standard caps only.
Sorry no need to answer all Q's at all, just sharing my thoughts so any coming advice can be desd simple. Just a little unsure about the benefits overall of proper pearl spinning vs regular cap and what is ultimately better.
There must be a lot of members using Shane's bangers with the pearls WITHOUT the Gordo cap?
Atm Im kind of leaning towards the Gordoscientific. It seems a shame to not utilise the pearls properly. But I will see what anyone might have to say. Its really no big deal, just want to set myself up for the best experience for ny buck.

I have two quartz pi and plan on buying more in different colors.
***Edit*** well 4 since i have 2 of the 20mm bubble caps. These 20mm quartz pi bubble caps fits the 20mm CCA Liger perfectly like it was made for it.
I had 3 Gordos and sold 2 and kept one bubble cap and probably wont buy another.
Gordo to me is more of a novelty cap. sucks for everyday use IMO. Its just too restrictive coming from a person who loves restriction. My dam lungs was sore.. I also noticed less flavors with it as well as the oils sits in the bucket longer forcing you to either take baby dabs or 2-3 pulls on a dab and each pull, the flavor is worse. I guess you can try the Gordo GTR for more $$$ and not plug either hole but that may be too much air then. Me personally, i dont see myself buying another gordo style cap for a while. Love the company, service and products. I use this cap on a rigs that are not restrictive only.

the 30mm Quartz Pi to me is very restrictive itself for a bubble cap. If i remember correctly, the holes are under 3mm for both in and out. I usually switch up between this and the PB bubble cap for the 30mm. As for 25mm bangers, the 24mm/25mm Quartz PI bubble caps is sorta perfect as the holes i believe are the same diameter as the 30mm. I usually use this cap for most of my 24/25mm bangers with great results.
Price wise, the Gordo is clear and more expensive, and i would guess the Quartz PI is colored and cheaper. Both are excellent in quality. And if you wait a few more days, Shane will have some Quartz PI in stock to ship to EU and probably for less.

@Shooby man thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and experience. I had to just literally drop what I was doing to say one seriously big thank you for making the effort to share so much. That is so helpful to me and I would gladly pay you a small sum hehe (can be arranged!)

Except I just tried to complete my Cart to order it now and the website won't let me saying my billing address doesn't match the card holders name which it should so I need to contact them and see.
I know Shane is getting some in next week but I'm not sure that he is getting the brozay colour and that's the one I'm sold on most now.

Thanks Shane. I quite fell for that Brozay one but otherwise would have waited for sure. I look forward to some pics, I would prefer to pick one from you can't wait. I don't think I will use the banger before the cap is here. I have had a few goes on some rosin this week using the Elev8r Health Stone pad.
But I found I needed to torch for 60 seconds plus, vs 25 for flower. And I hate underheating, waste of energy. No experience loading rosin, temps etc.
But I have experienced some major respiratory bother twice with inflammation/tightness.
Like on wednesday morning- it was my second attempt at my rosin and I wasn't getting much vapour to begin with and I ended up overheating it resembled essential oils when they have burnt a little bit. Have to be very careful not to heat essential oils too much/in certain ways.
And again last night, my chest really suffered overnight. But I am very sensitive to heat, and thst hot hot convective air, with no carbing and fast flowing- Its far too irritating to my sensitive airways Im sure.
So I think I will seek the lowest temps but the banger setup should be very different. I'll definitely wait for the cap first. Patience in all things.

Hi I've been looking to get a quartz enail setup going and your axial coils look great. Any rough time frame on when this more encased axial coil be available? Not sure I could wait for it but maybe the sic dish can hold me over

Thx for the heads up! I mentioned using a sic dish - one of the things I like is how easy it is to clean without removing from coil. How does using the axial coil and banger compare? Plan on using inserts dont see the need to regularly undo the banger from coil in that setup but is it easy to get the clips on and off without having to readjust?
@grobbo its super easy to clean the banger. Just wait for the coil to coil down pop the clip off and the coil should come right off. Clean your banger and just pop it back in to the coil and snap

You will need to clean the banger more than you would with a sic dish. But it’s really easy and if you scoop 2 bangers. You will always have a clean one ready to go while the other soaks =)

Good to know and really quick with the helpful info again. Last thing I can think of, can these bangers and coils be left on for hours at a time? If I'm at home the fp stays on all day, just curious as to how most people are using these coils without breaking potentially high end quartz, sounds like the clips are a big part.
Oh and have any recommended auber rdk200/300 parameters or PSL that might be better for the 30mm axial?

The cca710 original v2.0 carb cap fits the 25mm banger perfect and makes the pearls spin like crazy!

I think there is a thread on FC about the auber and the different settings you can mess with. But it should work good right out of the box and I would recommend the 300. Here is the link to their doc on adjusting settings: https://www.auberins.com/images/Manual/RDK-300_supplementary.pdf

welp got my 30mm and axial coil today look very nice. Unfortunately i wont get to use it because the carp cap i received only works with 25mm even though i bought one that was supposed to be both from neglassart guess ill get to use it when im back in town. Thanks shane!

I got two cap from NEglassart that was suppose to be 25 and 30 but they only fit on one of my 30mm. the other 5 it falls in.
From this, i learned not to buy any 25mm bubble cap that say they can fit 30mm. I buy a 30mm bubble cap for a 30mm banger and if it works good on my 25mm so be it. But at least the 30mm will def. fit the 25mm.
For 25mm bangers, i buy 25mm bubble caps only now.
Yeah! unfortunately i think they may have sent me a different cap because the one i bought was clear but received purple and didn't think much of it. But i went ahead and purchased the mad hustler terp turner for my 30mm nail due to shanes recommendation
