CBD Thread, all things CBD discussion and experience and tips

I think we need a CBD thread to discuss all things CBD.
For us "unfortunates" that don't live in a legal state, CBD can be a close substitute to full cannabis meds.

I'll start with CBD cream experience, 2 examples:
1. CBD isolate cream really helped my plantar fasciitis problem. Applying cream to my feet when the pain was really big and 15 minutes later it was 90% gone.
2. Just tried for the first time, cream on a very painful area - lower back on right side, down thru butt cheek, into back upper leg area. Deep deep pain and impeded walk. The results are actually what prompted me to make a CBD thread as writing this 20 minutes after applying, the pain is 95%+ gone :)

Cannabis medicine (even hemp medicine) is truly awesome.
What's your experience with CBD and any tips to offer??

Tip: For topicals, I apply a base cream to the area, blast with a hair dryer to open the pores, apply a little more cream, a little more heat and rub. That seems to make creams work much better IME.

What has CBD done for you??

CBD is great stuff, I get great benefits from it and pretty much always add CBD to any THC I consume. It helps me with rheumatoid arthritis, primarily. I also get anti anxiety benefits from using CBD, which helps me alot aswell.

Typically I vaporize CBD rich cannabis, typically I have access to cannatonic which is usually between .1-.5% THC and 13-18% CBD. I try to vaporize CBD 3-4x a day usually, sometimes more on bad days. It doesnt really take much I find, a small mustard spoon is what I use typically around .05g per "bowl" and Ill have 1-3 of those in a session.

I also have used CBD isolate which I also liked and CBD distillate which I have some of right now. I like that I can add the distillate to CCELL cartridges, and as such use in public without any need for discretion. The CBD distillate I have does crystallize at room temperature, not entirely but it makes it so you need to heat it to use it. Im not sure if this is something that would be typical of CBD distillate, or if the stuff I have was not made the best.

Ive had good benefits from oral CBD aswell in the past, and think that this is the best route for chronic conditions, with dosing happening 2-3x a day to build up and maintain CBD levels. This can be somewhat labor intensive to make, and expensive to buy though.

I have limited experience with a topical CBD product, but it isnt the best having only 60mg CBD in 2 fl oz of oil so I dont get a huge benefit from it, but when pain is bad I put it on and it helps a little. Id like to try a better topical in the future I think though.

I do find that I personally get the best benefit from the combination of CBD and THC, and have grown to prefer the effects of them together vs THC alone. CBD definitely helps me in my day to day life though, keeps my joints in better shape than they are in otherwise. I do still take some medication for the RA, but thanks to cannabis and CBD specifically I am able to stay off of the harsh drugs with horrible side effects.

The only form of CBD I've been using is dabbing chunks of this 99% CBD Isolate Slab from CBDistillery in a quartz banger on a daily basis for the last two or three weeks. I feel like it has an overall relaxing, stress/anxiety relieving effect, as well as helping my joints with the arthritisy pain I get.

Though, I'm still uncertain of how much of those effects are just placebo.

I crush one gram of CBD slab isolate and mix with 10 ml of MCT oil giving me a tinciture with a 5 mg per drop.
I am wondering if CBD rosin would dissolve in mct oil?

I made my own CBD and RS oil until I nearly burned down my kitchen during the process. And that even though I was very cautious. Since then, I buy ready-to-consume CBD mixed with hemp oil from Cibdol. It helps me with my chronic joint inflammations (keeps them under control) and calming during nervous conditions.

It's not a wonder drug to me, but it can replace pharmaceutical products that did more harm to my body in comparison. There may be a bit of Placebo involved (I cannot tell), but well - whatever helps.

I just had my CBD cherry popped yesterday. I took delivery of a quarter zip of ACDC, dried some out, ran it thru my grinder, and loaded up my Fury 2. First impressions were "yummy. I could get used to this". Flavor reminded me of kush. Cloud production was on point. The effects I experienced were your usual "calm" feeling with lessened anxiety that CBD users typically report. One thing I did notice was that I felt a bit lazy and unmotivated, but I was able to quickly snap out of it. So I can see myself doing small doses during the day and big ones in the evening. I ate the ABV with dinner. I'm looking to use it as a general pain & anxiety med but can't comment yet on the painkilling abilities.

I'm really looking forward to blending it with THC bud and reducing my THC consumption but still getting a buzz. This batch of ACDC has basically zero THC. So I'm thinking of sessioning with as little as .01 of THC bud blended with much more CBD bud. I love vaping flower recreationally. Now I can finally spend more than 90 seconds on the activity without blowing my brains out with copious amounts of THC.

I dab Cbd VERY publicly. The police in non recreational states don't seem to know about it. I felt need to and will be volunteering at public events to educate people and police on this. I can't take pills like normal people and am a chronic pain patient. I dab more when out because the pain is worse. I can't drive without cbd, pain pills or anxiety meds. I don't understand the ignorance around pain patients driving while using cannabis. I had to get myself super baked on cannabis to take my driving test back in high school, And had to be extremely baked to go under 120 in a 65 clearly nothing like alcohol, Yet it's treated the same and people with experience or in the know are aware it's total bullshit, This is why i only use Cbd and other federally legal things now, You used to be able to get pulled while smoking a joint and just get a possession charge or warning.

Have tried flower from 3 different websites now.

Baox
Therapy
Remedy
Cherrywine
Juicy fruit
Durban potion
Knight Ryder
Chardonnay
Betty exotic
And this morning picked up some pineberry... ~3.50 a g

Did NOT like Knight Ryder. But everything else has been nice. Juicy fruit and berry exotic was my favorite so far but I think I will really like pineberry as I love mycerne terps

2 of the sites I've used sell cbd tinctures, has and isolate but I prefer the full spectrum flower . Also they are organic and come with the lab tests so that is nice.

@mccringleberry how do you like the acdc?

Is it just me or does a higher CBD content somewhat taste soapy? Therapy and Chardonnay we're particularly soapy flavored?? I like an earthy sweet strain myself

I'm really impressed with the ACDC, and you will be too... myrcene is the most abundant terp in its profile. Earthy lemon pine all the way. It's as high in CBD as flower gets and there's no soapiness whatsoever. The only strain I've ever tasted soapiness out of was this THC strain I had that was GDP crossed with something else.. but I think it was just me interpreting it as soapy.

TF looks like they do a good trim job. When it's back in stock I'll have to try it out. Juicy fruit was like 20% CBD and sweet flower

CBD "triple play".
I've had some long lasting pains lately so I decided to kick it up a notch, since one could take 1000 mg CBD with no problem, and no I'm not talking about anything close to 1000 mg.
Since I have different forms of CBD, I decided to try using them together.
- CBD 99% crystal which I vaped in Herbalizer with a miniVAP flexicone capsule with SS conc pad. Quick extraction where
it took no time and ran thru bubbler with warm water.
- 1200 mg CBD cream. applied directly to pain sites. Heated cream so it would spread better and penetrate better
- 25 mg CBD capsule of full spectrum CBD which has legal amount of THC plus trace CBG and CBC

This trio really kicked ass on the pain--it's an awesome trio. Wow, went from really bad to really good :)

1200mg CBD in a topical? How big a container? Mine currently is 1000mg in 2oz, and THAT was the highest I'd seen (topicals still don't do ANYTHING to me, but neither did the dilaudid they gave me in the hospital).

Orally, I've done as much as 500mg in the past. Aside from that calm that comes over you, and lower muscle tension and spasm... no issues.

I'm going to order some THCa crystals from Guild Extracts and combine that with some of the slab CBD I have from fullyactivated.net... don't know if it will add to pain relief, but should help a bit more with the tension and spasms. Now I dunno if using THCa somehow shoes up under a delta-11 THC piss test, but it is non-psychoactive.

I like the full spectrum edible oil and capsules from fullactivated... I put my elderly father on 105mg a night, it changed the frequency of hitting the bathroom (enlarged prostate) from every 75min to every 2.5hours, so THAT went over well :)

I fully recommend and endorse hitting stuff from multiple vectors. for a home run you can always look up the patent by Dr. Mechoum (sp?) who runs the Fed's cannabis farm @ UMiss.

I use beeZbee CBD pain cream, 1200 mg in 2 oz. It has a nice texture (smooth) and a light cinnamon scent.
For me, it works much better than CBD creams with lesser CBD in 2 oz.

For my muscle pain and plantar fasciitis pain, it's been a real miracle

I truly been enjoying cbd. I prefer high cbd content than thc in my bud. Right now one of my favourites is a 9.8%cbd with a 5% thc

I was just making recommendations to my pain management doctor for highCBD strains :)

a 2:1 ratio is pretty good for pain, have you tried dialing up the ratio and see how much relief you can get without feeling impaired? 20:1 AC/DC pretty much no psychoactive effects but still relieves pain and spasticity/muscle tension, 8:1 (sometime 6:1 depending on the phenotype) Cannatonic, great stuff...
while in chemo been doing a 1:1 ratio (last time Pennywise, now a mix of concentrates, edibles & capsules).

Just don’t vape it mixed with mct oil. Not good for your lungs.

I’m about to get my hands on Candida CD-1. It’s a high end medical strain. .5%THC and more than 10-15% CBD. That is my latest strain I am waiting on. The Cannatonic I have seen is more of a 1:1 sadly. But there is this strain called temple, grown by Aurora that’s about 14%CBD and barely any THC.

Herbalizer and CBD isolate powder are a wonderful combo. A tiny portion of the powder, melted into a SS conc pad, inside miniVAP Flexicone module and I've got:
- easily 6 sessions where each is only 30-40 seconds and a nice medicating hit of CBD to go to work almost immediately.

A nice CBD heavy flower (CBD:THC) would be a little more flavorful and satisfying but this gets medicine quick and easy.

The strains I have been using lately have the following percentages:

4.42%THC and 6.86%CBD

5.37%THC and 9.85%CBD

9.12%THC and 6.24%CBD. This one you can really feel the thc on it.

But the other two are real nice to calm and relax. Get a nice head high for 10 minutes before pure relaxation. My joints get very light if that makes sense.

That candida strain (wow, why would they name it that?) sounds very much like AC/DC which was around 0.75% THC and 16-18% CBD. This is the problem with some of these strains, you never know exactly which phenotype it will throw (here's for stable genetics and seed, not just clones)... most cannatonic I've used has been around 4% THC and 16% CBD.

as for 'barely any THC', the legal definition of hemp is cannabis with ≤ 0.3% THC, so you're already incredibly close. between the modulation of the small amount of THC by the CBD, and the very small amount to begin with, you wouldn't notice any impairment.

@MinnBobber is right, CBD in concentrate or isolate form can be used in a number of ways.
So that's a nice alternative.
