I love my Shower Head but that's because I only vape flower in my FP and the VROD wasn't an available product yet at the time I bought it.

The SH still works so good that I have not found a reason to replace it (but when has that ever stopped any of us from spending $$ on vapes! haha)

@Hogni I saw you asked if I leave the vrod head on the bowl. No almost never. The crud at the bottom of the vrod is reclaim. I have a new vrod same thing happens. I just take big dabs and a lot of them. Here’s the pics

Edit: Looks like there's been a slight revision to the wrench flats on the Vrod.

I still can't quite wrap my head around how you're getting so much reclaim up there. The only thing I can think of is how you hit/clear your piece. When I'm ready to clear my piece, I never stop inhaling, just lift off the head and clear it, like a bong. Perhaps your doing your hits in two breaths? And then in between breaths is when the vapor backdrafts up into the head. If there was constant suction til after you remove the head, I don't think you'd be getting that reclaim.

That's A LOT of reclaim build up quickly too, I see you have one of the new Rev E Wrench Flat Vrods that just came out.

I'm a heavy user too, and I don't have a drop of reclaim building up in the head like that. And I can't recall anyone else having that either. Thankful that I don't either, that would have to start to affect the taste as some point.

I don’t understand how no one else has any reclaim build up. Where is it going? Every nail I have ever used gets reclaim built up on it. Yes it does start to affect taste and that’s when I clean it. The pics above have probably had 100-150 dabs through it.

The reclaim thing is weird, i don't get it.

I'm not sure that's reclaim either.... it's black.

It's def weird. This is def not the norm. I don't mean to question anyone's ability to correctly do a dab, but at festivals and weed events I've seen a lot of people taking the dabber to the hole Instead of the dish...I guess I could see that creating such gunk.

Other than that, I'm really having a hard time understanding why that would happen.

Once I start hitting the FP, the suction of air never stops until the head leaves the bowl. The vapor is always drawn into the glass and never has a chance to condense on the inside of the Vrod.

Do you typically take your hits in more than one breath? That pause between hits causes some vapor to travel back up the air path and into the head. It's possible that's the source of the reclaim.

I grew up hitting bongs, and you could never pause mid hit (without removing the bowl), otherwise the backdraft of air might knock the contents of the bowl out! So to me, hitting the FP in this style was just natural.

I honestly can't think of any other way than that. I do not think it's a normal situation at all.

I hit the fp like a dab rig. I never take the bowl off u til I’m done with the bowl. @NewVape710 i definitely d not drop the dab down the center hole. I get reclaim on the bottom of the wraparound as well and the showerhead too if I dab a lot from it.

It makes perfect sense to me that reclaim drips down he center hole and collects at the bottom of the head. Why wouldn’t that happen? Just like using the dnail slim base reclaim collects in the base runs out the bottom and eventually drips in the bong stem. Same thing is happening here except the reclaim sits on the bottom of the vrod and bakes on.

Next time you clean the Vrod, try hitting it like I mentioned above, like a bong. Only have the head on when you're pulling air through it. This should prevent any vapor condensing and becoming reclaim. I'd be willing to bet that's the root of your issue*.

I get reclaim in my drop down and glass, but never in my Vrod or SH heads. There's always air pulling the vapor out of it, so it never has time to sit and condense, especially because the head is so hot.

*issue only if having to clean the head bothers you. If it doesn't, then don't worry about it. Just trying to get to the cause of why your head is so dirty. A clean Vrod is a happy Vrod!

Yes, if you're leaving your Vrod head on the bowl the whole time, it does make sense. Which is why I was confused when you originally said you DIDN'T leave the head on the bowl! :p Either way, vape on!

Oh my gawd @NewVape710 what have you done?!? I fucking love the VROD revision! Thank you for always listening and never being satisfied until it’s just perfect. Thanks also for talking about how big of a problem the locked coil/head really was. You’re absolutely right, I didn’t realise the magnitude.

I think a little threaded titanium end cap for standing the dabbers upright is a nice idea.

I still have over 1k of special tooling and macor waiting (on a slow time) to be machined.

Thanks for entertaining this idea, I’ve got a few design ideas whenever you can squeeze it in the schedule. When you say “1k” does that mean hours of machine time?! Well, it may be a long while before we see those caps but I’ll still be around. I guess it’s really good to be so busy, no time to get in trouble!

I took it to mean $1,000 worth of materials and tools to machine it. When they find time to work with it, I don’t think it will take them all that long to produce something based on existing designs considering how fast they produced a prototype when the material was first discussed. :)

Hey guys! It's taken me almost a month and a half but after playing with all my glass, trying different water levels and temps...AND draw speeds....I think ive figured this bad boy out! Im now crushing .1-.15 sized bowls in 2 of the smoothest rips ever with my showerhead set to 610. Truly an end game vape.

I'm still seeing a small gap between my coil cover and coil nut because my coil sticks out slightly from the bottom of the cover when assembled. It looks like a simple tightening would fix it, and I remember reading from someone here that they also saw improvement after tightening theirs (baron I think?)

I don't want to damage anything of course, so what is the best way to do this? Just grab one end with pliers and sort of "wind" it up while it's hot?

Thanks Bros!
