Yeah the current tube is not the same as the ones i have seen in the videos. Hitting the bump area with the flame doesn't seem to be ideal but your method seems to work pretty well so far. Still learning but if i can learn to be as consistant with the MVE as i am with my Daisy or StickyBrick I'll be stoked.

It's hard to explain but I kinda go a lot by how it the flame going into the vape sounds when I'm hitting it right. I know some people called it a whistle when talking about the daisy but i hear it just as like a fuller tone (if that makes sense) when I get that tone every-things perfect.

The essence seems to hit like the triihouse vapes for a the first few hits with the smaller bowl being a plus these days.

Already getting the hang of it somewhat. Haven't combusted once but have scorched a few loads. Overall great results in a beautiful package. Ill be honest... This vape will probably get a ton of regular usage where my MV Touch practically never cracks the lineup.

So I have moved away from single flame. Instead I'm using a triple and pulling as fast as I can I try so much vapor it's sick. And it stays light colored

New stem design for all our vapes, filled with beads they cool the vapor a lot. I'm amazed at how well these work. In the store now $20 or 2 for $30

This works so good that i had to adjust my technique. I usually judge when to lay off the heat by the mouth feel. With this stem i don't feel it. More like a water hit. I usually don't go this far but you need to try this!
Screens are hard to remove so i suggest ipa or pbw soaks

This thing is either defective or I’m just dumb, but I can’t get it to vaporize anything! It either combusts or just gets really hot to the point of burning my lips. I’m using a medium grind with a single flame torch. I’ve gotten a couple hits but not really anything to get me high, might of just been smoke but who knows. Idk, I want to like this thing, but so far I think it’s already time to retire the essence (only have had for two days ). Till then I’m back just taking a bowl for my meds
Any suggestions??

Hm, for me it entails visually lining up the flame with the hole, so through a bubbler is much easier, but I still need to take off my glasses to see it properly. It also entails a strong draw to pull the flame into the tube, I also only use it for one-hitters though... I don't combust, but a little scorch on occasion isn't a problem for me

The Bare Essence is a bare bones butane vaporizer. It is a maple dowel that has been machined so a 14/20 joint fits one end for a stem and has O rings on the other that holds a quartz inlet tube.
This is the internals of our Essence (which is out of stock) and was designed as something very inexpensive.

Just wanted to pipe in early bc this is one of the best value vapes available, not sure if prices have changed, but the Bare Essence was only $30 and adding a fancy wood shell still kept it under $100.

This is pure convection on demand via direct butane torch heat, while the bowl can be any 14mm stem (wood or glass) used direct or through water or other glass pieces... The glass intake has went though a few iterations, in my photos I have an old one, but I did gift a friend with Bare Essence that came with the latest one and it works well too!

Here is my Essence, with gorgeous Bacote shell and Cocobolo end caps (Bare Essence you just get maple, which is inside the shell of mine):

This is after two hits and I got three more, stirring (which is super duper quick and easy to do, simply lift the wood body off the stem) after each hit:

I mostly use mine for one hitter bowls through the inline honeycomb, it is very effective and super efficient, and also works well for concentrates!

I can really recommend the Bare Essence for an almost on-demand butane vape. it takes some tiny practice to learn it but while i learned no combustion occured.
The hash in this device had amazing taste too, I will never forgot that "Kandy kush". so sweet with some small amounts of diesel.

Make sure you carry it well outside. need to be careful with the glass, carrying it inside a pencile case was a bad idea
