Bubble Hash making Tips

Member
We have been getting pretty good at it and I was wondering ...
if anyone wanted or had some tips.
-------------------------------------------------------
I will start - prechill the water and use lots of ice.
Use a 'washing machine' with an all mesh 220 bag.
Get a washer with a spin side if you can. < $100
Use all mesh bags with 220 and 73 in a bucket .
Put an all mesh 25 in a bucket for the water you throw out.

sea dog,
I don't get it?

What did I say?

I use 3 bags. A 110u, a 79u and a 45u.

That's what I was asking.

I didn't mean to give you a hard time. More bags equals more work.
When you start you will find some bags don't have much in them.
We don't use them here because we have to deal with a lot of volume.
In N. Cal. the 73 bag gets most of the trichomes.

Draining a BH washing machine can be a lot of work.
I modified a bucket to keep the bucket draining.

No problem bud. Not a hard time. I just didn't get what I said that was funny. Still don't. LOL

Anyway, that's why you get a buzz from the leftover water. If you are only using a 73u bag, a ton of the trics are still in the water.

My 110 bag just filters what comes out of the washing machine. It is not hash. It goes back into the wash or into the trash after I'm done.

Like you said, the 75 grabs much of the trics. So, anything between 70 and 100 is in the first bag. We both are the same so far,( I think). You do use some kind of filter before the 75 so your hash isn't all full of debris from the washing machine, right? My washing machine doesn't have a filter, just holes that the water goes through.

Then, I do a 45. The stuff that's in the 45 is creamy. Total full melt. You can just press it in your hand and it melts together. This is the best of the bubble hash. You leave that in the water. Small wonder people are passing out. LMAO

I just harvested so I am going to have a ton a shag to make bubble. I am going to use the leftover water to make beer in my beer making kit that is supposed to arrive today. :)

I'll follow your recipe as close as possible and see what happens. It's my first run at making beer.

Thanks

What was funny was that almost all the original post said was stating how many bags the OP uses, and what size they were...then you replied to that to ask how many bags they use and what size they were. That just seemed quite amusing to me.

My plan was to go with 220, 160, 73, and 25, all mesh. Im sure it would work without the 160, but i want to maximize the quality of the 73. Its just personal not commercial, so I'm not pressed for time.

Farid,
LMAO..... OK, I get it now. ;)

I never even read that part of his post. It looked like a signature and I walked right passed it.

Damn, talk about late to the party. LMAO

We use a 25 bag in the sink when we throw out water.
We got 6.5 oz out of it last run ... that was 1/8 and is full melt.
I have a 220 and a 73 bag on each washer.
We make punch or beer out of what gets thru the 25 or toss it.
If you like hoppy, bitter beer just use the same recipe.
BH water acted like 3 oz of bittering hops ...
used at the start of all grain brewing for 5 gal.

We keep water until we are done with the run and just add ice.
We kept the water in buckets after it went thru the 73.
The next morning I ran the water thru the 73 AGAIN ...
And this is what I got ...

If you use a B.H. washing machine -
Mark the proper water level on the outside of the washer.
It will keep the dump bucket from being too heavy when draining the bags.
It will also help the washer not to overflow when running.

how do you like the blue machine with the spinner in the pic? I am debating getting that model from amazon

It was $85. I bought 1 and tried it in conjunction with a single washer.
We wash twice so we had the spinner spin both washers.
Winning ! - I literally can not imagine not having a spin side now.

I now run 3 machines with a spin side and 3 sets of Bubbleman bags.

I do 1/2 P AAT twice ... I spin after 6 min of 'washing' after max ice ...
My g/f used to squeeze the bags - Too much work !

The 'spin side' is a small spinner with holes in it that will empty the 220 bag in 1 min.
When it starts spinning a large amount of dark fluid shoots out of the hose.
It gets the most out of the bag - Period !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whats an average yeild from a 1/2p? That's the weight I plan on using with it

O nice, great tip. Have you tried it without a work bag?

fredsssssss,
I never use a work bag but I love the idea of a spin cycle. Mine just washes... no spin (I squeeze). LO

How does using a washer cause a "giant mess"? If you let the vegetable matter saturate it doesn't break down nearly as easily. Frenchy gets good quality and yields from this method
