Got mail from the customs today. They have checked my package (diverse spare parts and three containers) and found the items to be tobacco related products that according to §15 of the Tabakerzeugnisgesetz may not be brought into the scope of the law. It will be given to DHL for reexportation and be send back to the sender.

Dang.

What to do next?

SPARE parts and CONTAINERS?? Hääääh!?

Are they going nuts? Contact them immediately and ask them wtf what of this stuff should be tobacco related.
Remember the heated spoon as an analogy and talk about with them.
But it's a prob of the sender in the end. He has to take care for registration of his products in the EU.

Two tips, two caps, ss and ti screens, orings, condensers, mouthpieces, DEGUMMED HEMP FIBER, one regular and two XL storage tubes (containers)

No way. "Nach Entscheidung der zuständigen Behörde für Gesundheit und Verbraucherschutz handelt es sich um ein Tabakerzeugnis, das gemäss §15...". The authority has spoken. I don't think I can change their minds when I say that this vaporizers are 'aromatherapie devices'. Maybe it is also politically motivated. But there is no chance to argue with them.

I guess Dynavap has to take action.

Old story for German officials. They know that trick since jail times...the file..you remember.

It's not the first time DV products get in trouble with German customs. I'm sure they have DV on their radar. Fucking green envelopes! First they took note of it bc of the declaration of worth and now they have a new legal toy for spitting him in his soup.
"Ah, that green one, our well-known friend again. Fuck'em!"

Or do you believe they would have reacted to this package content if they wouldn't know what that stuff is?

I talked about this prob with George in Berlin and adviced him not to use the green ones anymore bc of the already visible dawn of troubles.

The envelope was white. And I told them what is inside when they asked me. Spare parts for vaporizers. And than I had to open it up in front of them. So, not so much of a chance to claim that the items belong to a model railroad or anything.

What is the problem with "ze germans"?
Is it a European label that Dynavap still doesn't have?
How can you buy a Dynavap from Vaposhop.EU for example and not from the USA?
I really don't get the problem. :hmm:

They'll all get the same prob within in EU, known EU retailers included. It's a new EU-regulation which currently will be converted to national laws. It regulates cross-boarder trade of vape stuff within the EU and to EU states. Within the EU customs controls are rare so it de-facto relates esp. to international trade to EU states.
I opened a thread about

ok thanks i'll go and read that thread.
Maybe there's room for a business in import-export between USA/EU in vape related items?

Read the thread. Poor boy in Italy - do you have vape retailers in Italy? If not you're fucked up or have to travel to other countries to buy your stuff in the future bc cross-boarder trade of vape stuff to Italy absolutely is forbidden - w/o any exception. In most of the other EU states cross-boarder trade is forbidden but allowed with a former special registration - not so in Italy.

how come it doesn't surprise me.
Italy usually gets the worst of the situations.
But i'm on the border so i could open something in France and maybe play with Franco-italian trading business...
There are some vape "retailers", Vaposhop has a site in .it, Namaste.it if i recall correctly may have a physical address too... but if not maybe they should get an office here to be able to pursue?
I must study that, there may be something to do.

The customer service for this company is so top notch. My cocobolo vong developed some cracks on the cap side and they're willing to replace it. They accidentally sent me a mouthpiece instead, but now I have a sweet little dynavap container for a little nug on the go. I already use one of my several green tubes for grinded material. George and co. really know how to pull in customers for life. They really check every box for a super company. Much respect.

I’ve been successful shipping to Europe with my Stems and tips. I just wrap them in bubble wrap and put them into a bubble mailer and write “wood art”. It works every time.

Hmmmm....maybe George could bake one into a fruit cake....nobody wants to take a close look at a fruit cake!
I haven’t seen you around in a while! I hope all is well my friend!

Well, I've been reading the latest posts here and I am a bit concerned. In Spain, there are no retailers who sell Dynavap products (as far as I am concerned). Does this mean that, from now on, my adventure with Dynavap has come to a sad end due to the f***ing n***y s**t of the EU? Please, somebody tell I'm wrong.

Hard to like that post man, that's a bummer :(
I've only noticed reports of this once or twice before, so hopefully this is an outlier.
Italian restrictions sound especially crazy!

All my DV orders to the EU came in a plain white envelope.
Never had the green bubble wrap.
Had to go and collect it at the customs office and open it infront of them. Tell them what it was.
Analogue e-cigarette pipe parts.
Went there a couple of times because of the early DV flash sales when the youtube braodcast thing had flashsales every week.
Good times.

Bummer to hear this story.
Let us know.

This is my Omni stem with spinning mouthpiece. Not until I had experienced the metal spinning MP did that feature seem useful—it spins freely, which the wood MPs don’t for me. Have about 2/3 of the air port blocked by an x-ring.
Lovely with Northern Lights and coffee this morning.

Also, gratuitously, here’s a monarch in my yard

A butterfly and a beautiful VC. I'm laying in bed today due to health reasons, but pictures like these make me happy, thanks for sharing :)

So this obviously homemade stem is wonky—it’s very hard to drill a straight hole with a hand drill—but it does work. Offering this design to our talented builders. The benefit is you can “spin” (actually flip) it using your wrist instead of your fingers. Useful for some, I would think...

I found the ti condensers slightly more conducive to spin tight fitting wood mp's. The mp's that always gave me trouble works much better when fitted with the slightly narrower ti condenser.

I do hope there is a stash compartment, and one for ABV.

A 1K Lumen “torch”, just in case....
