Fuck Vaporizer Combustion
I am actually thinking of a case just for the bubbler. I have a nice Skunkguard lockable soft case to use.
That’s a cool design with a lot of handy features, especially the charcoal for odor absorption. Thanks for the link!

I have only ever used Pelican-style cases and the big side-zip drawstring-top bags for large tubes. My go-to for small glass pipes, bowls, downstems, etc. has always been a thick pair of socks, but a nice-looking soft case like yours would definitely add more class to the glass. Might just have to step it up!

You may want to take a look at Vatra cases too. I think the site is at vatra.com

It also looks to me like while the 'pear shaped' stem has an upper and lower water trap (and therefore can be carried loaded) the larger one does not? That means you need to empty it for each carry, and also include a bottle with enough water in the kit to refill it in the field as needed?

OF are you talking about the blue vapor cooler Vicki showed? I am thinking yes...but to your point of having to empty and refil water...for sure if you are going to be carrying around packed up.
Unless she uses some solid stoppers in both ends.

And it is not that big of a deal for my out and about uses as they are mainly when I am fishing or something where I always have a bottle of water handy anyways. So for me filling and refilling is no issue at all. But it just depends on how you want to use a bubbler on the go.

Vatra and Skunguard are the same company...just diff divisions. The reason I luv my small skunkguard pack is because of the lock as well. Could come in quite handy when johnny law dog comes a knockin! lol

I have always like the soft cases that have high build quality....and the Skunkguard is excellent build quality and materials. I had a ryot pack with a lock and it fell apart after little use.

I find the one I have is a prefect size as it has enough depth to handle staking stuff and protecting it well as it has some stiffer panels on top and bottom...as well as the stiff panel separating the top and the lower section.

Hi all, looking forward to my new Argo and joining you all, only had a mflb before

Just a quick question on sourcing spare batteries, I really don't want to get this wrong. It needs 3.7v 18650B as I understand, but what ampage?

Does anyone have a link for the UK? Thanks for help.

Howdy, welcome to the Forum and all the fun. Lots of good folks around, hope you stick around.

Great choice with ArGo, you should be very happy with it.

The advice on replacement 18650s is simple, stick to that exact make and model. Arizer went to a lot of trouble to source the absolute best unit available for the job. Anything with any more capacity 'run time' will not be able to keep up with the current demand. Anything with more current ability will not be used and will mean less capacity. It's the 'sweet spot' for optimum performance. Some might work OK (with less charge life) some not well at all.

Panasonic NCR18650B. 4.8 Amp max, 3400mAh. Be careful of counterfeits, accept no substitutes. I'm sure they're available, but be careful?

Thanks everyone for amazing help.

Are these what we're talking about? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-...00AIOH9VG/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

Mixed reviews, some saying they're poor quality and likely fakes, some sayign dangerous for vapes, and some giving 5 stars for.

Appreciate the warm welcome!

Edit: Found them here: https://www.batteriesplus.co.uk/aca...ttery---3.7-V-3400-mAh-Lithium-cell-1936.html

It states the max amp is 6.8, so they're not right? Dyna's link to the German site states 6.8A too, so not sure where that leaves me.

If they are genuine you should be fine. There are lots of counterfeits out there, I personally have bought some from Amazon. The problem is there are no official NCR18650Bs out there from Panasonic to you. Zero, Panasonic doesn't sell to our market for a host or reasons. None of the four makers of high end cells do. And there are only four (LG, Sony, and Samsung are the other 3), everything else is 're wraps' from those four from 'the gray market'. The makers only sell to those making battery packs with protections built in.

Yes, that means all those fancy 'specialty brands', with their higher prices, are basically fakes. They are really cells from one of those four makers 'under the skin'.

Since there are no legitimate 'source streams' from the Makers, even the most honest sellers occasionally buy counterfeits from Distributors who may also be innocent. It happens.

Likewise there's a lot of BS with ratings trying to appeal to innocents. The 4.8 Amp number is an honest CONTINUOUS rating. Some sellers are happy to quote more impressive numbers conditional on shorter times to combat self heating, but that's not useful to us with 10 minute sessions not a few seconds like 3-cig guys do.

Stick with the exact make and model from a trusted source and you should be OK

Welcome to the Forum.

As OF said....stick with the stock battery and you will have no need to worry about anything.....except keeping a charged one ready to go at all times...lol

Ok....just had some decent amount of time to report back on one of the new bubble straw/mp's.
I choose to get 2 of these guys as i liked the wide shape and smaller diameter mp as the other narrower one with straight sides.

Note the pic on 420EDC site is slightly distorted... for some reason the pic shows what looks like to be 3 tubes coming together for the mp...it is just a single glass tube exit. Some camera glare or something makes this pic look wide at the mp...it is smaller than the lower main stem in reality.

20180827_154247__02135.1535408147.jpg

Ok after trying the other narrow bubble stems on my airs....I swore them off for 2 reasons.....water in my mouth.....and water in my mouth. lol Actually, I do not enjoy using the vape upright with the load directly sitting so close to allow it to touch the metal oven bottom. When the herb touches the bottom of the oven....it results in toasted taste from the first pull. I just take a slow first draw with the vape upside down and allow the flower to melt together and stick in the stem/screen better. Then on 2nd draw turn upright and go to town.

I use a SS screen in every arizer I use. This will help keep things cleaner and it is so easy to pull it out and clean if needed more than the usual pic or brushing.

Ok.....I will be honest.....I got water in my mouth.......when I over filled it the first time. I like lots a water to smooth it out with smaller glass pieces. I felt the smaller old bubble straws just did not allow enough water to make it worth while to use water in it. Probably not a bad idea to use one of those without water if you have one.

After I figured out what a better level of water to use was......I had some awesome sessions with my argo! Lately I have had to take a break from my powerhouse vapes like the Elev8r and flowerpot because of sore throat issues....(and super hi T). So this new bubble straw was a welcome site to use my argo with and vape on a lighter note...so to speak.

To figure out what water level will be ok.....i drained what I had in it.....(blow into it and it will push out...most of it). I then filled it to the point at which I could turn the whole thing upside down and not have the water inside get into the small tube that goes into the MP. So at this point I could feel ok with flipping the glass piece upside before I put the vape on upside down and take the first draw to stick the load to the glass walls and screen bottom......then flip the whole thing over upright and not have any water get into the small thin inner top tube and make its way to my lips.

So this level came out to be this:

stemH20.jpg

Basically the 2 small holes are right in the middle of the water level.

Also, you see a 1/2inch o-ring around the stem. That is used for 2 things.....if I use diff color then I can tell which stem has what loaded into it when packed and ready to go when I am out. But the biggest reason for having one on there was something I had no idea I would need with this bubble stem. There is just a tab bit of wiggle in the top of the vape. Even if you push the button and let the top raise up...it will still have some wiggle....it bothered me. So I put the o-ring on there to see if it would fit the gap at the top of the plastic top. I have some 7/16th o-rings....they probably will be good too. The o-ring took the wiggle out of the stem at the top of the vape. I just barely pushed it down onto the top of the argo as I do not use the top up ever unless I am cleaning.

BubbleGo.jpg

This will work if you want to use the top up as well. But for me....a plus was the fact that if I accidentally hit the top button while vaping.....the top will now stay down anyway. BRILLIANT! lol

Ok....on to performance. This guy is a ton better experience than the other narrow ones. I have not used the big wide bandit types so I cant compare with those larger ones.

I hits smooth even when your draw might be too hard and you can pretty much tell what the needed draw strength should be. The larger area allows for plenty of cooling/soothing action and I felt no irritation of hotness from such small filtration. It is totally what I wish the vape came with. I would like to have one with a slight bend in the end of the mp so I do not have to lean my head over it when I draw. You want to keep it fairly level to use the water well.

But, you might get a little water on the lips if you do the "first draw upside down" deal like me. Just go slow and do not draw very hard at all on the first upside down hit. I keep a little napkin rolled up smaller than a q-tip end to wipe out the MP if and when that happens. That is the only time I got water on my lips after using this thing for a few days now.

I really like using my argo with this bubbler. I am happy I took the chance on it!

420EDC done hooked me up with a free WPA with my 2 bubbler order.... Thanks so much

Hello everyone, I wanted to buy a new vaporizer, and this tread made me choose the Arizer Argo !
I have it since yesterday and it's Awesome ! But it seems like there is a kind of sound coming out from the vape while using it, it sounds like an electric one from old light bulb. Has anyone else noticed this ?

Welcome to the FC Forum @Smmajs ! We love the ArGo too and wanted to see if the sound you are hearing is just you drawing on the device. Do you hear this sound while it is on in general, or only when inhaling? Do you hear it if you draw lighter, almost sipping on it vs. a firm full on pull from the lungs?

Are you using with the battery alone, or are you connected via USB as well?

My hunch is you are hearing the air intake, which can sound a little high pitched on a hard draw. But who knows, especially with a new device.

Such sounds are fairly common with the sort of circuits used in ArGo and lots of other vapes. Usually they come from the cores of inductors used to change voltages. Clicks, chirps and other sounds, usually very faint and related to heating (as opposed to 'just being on') happen and IMO are not worth worrying about. While my F2 makes them, my ArGo does not, FWIW. The next units from the same shelves are likely to be different.

If it really bothers you, swap it out, otherwise (if it were mine) I suggest enjoying it?

Really enjoying my Argo now with the double bubble stem.....man this setup is so nice now for me. I use it more than any vape I have now. The smaller diameter mouth piece is quite enjoyable compared to the larger ones of other stems/water units with wpa.

If you are on the fence with the Argo and like to use water.....this is such a killer setup compared to the stock stems or the after market ones that are longer.

I do not use the wpa for it much now as my Air1/2 take care of that when needed. It is so nice to use the Argo like a e-cig with little fuss with loading/cleaning. I ordered a couple 1x6 inch capped tubes to store the double bubble stems in when I am mobile.

I've got a 2015 Arizer Solo with a dying battery and I'm just about to pull the trigger on the ArGo, getting it from 420EDC. My main concern was it being able to hit as hard as an OG solo. Everything else about the ArGo is obviously better. Seems like it'll do the job just fine.

I've loved my Solo but I'm more self conscious about it's lack of discreteness and I've always wanted interchangeable batteries and USB charging, so I wasn't forced to use Arizer's low quality charging units. I'm on my third replacement charger because the wiring goes bad over time.

The deal from 420EDC is awesome. Only thing I'm having trouble with is deciding on a case. Thinking the vert one but it's hard to visualize how it'll work with my travel setup.

Got the ArGo ordered, along with a 2-cell external charger. Would it be better to do the first charge on the cells inside the vaporizer to get some overcharge?

Yo everyone!

Recently i sold my Crafty which was a powerful thing for microdoses with the pad (around 0.02 to 0.10g) but the battery life was horrible and heating time was awful (~80hours of use and heating time was increased to ~2 minutes) so i purchased the Fury 2.

There's no problem with when i use it with the glass WPA which is perfect for my dosages (just put a little and tamp with something), its a really good experience after Crafty's classic bowl, it also heats in seconds, charges quickly, battery life is just good because my sessions are like 2-3 puffs.

But the problem is - when i use it without WPA it just sucks, there's no vapor (tried with microdising screen which i purchased with, a pad (kinda PITA) and without...) also the chamber is too narrow, i must overdose to get some visible vapor and to get high.

So i was thinking about the ArGo because of that glass bowl experience that i loved with Fury 2, you can also change the battery.. i'll lose the fast heating feature but its not a big problem, what do you think guys ? will i be happy with this one ? :)

Im vaping at 356-392F (180-200C)
Actually i can get it for 155€ + 2x Sony VTC6 18650 batteries (16€) and a charger for ~25€

Hi There,

That is really weird about seeing no vapor with your Fury 2 native. I have had a Fury 1 for about 2 years now and I keep the temp around 348F, I get lots for vapor. Maybe your temp is off on your unit.

I also have the Argo, I have found it to be way smoother than the Fury when using native. Yes, it takes a little longer to heat up but nothing ridiculous. I love the interchangeable battery and also you can use when it is plugged it (while charging).

I think you will like the Argo, it is a bit of an upgrade from the Fury with some of its features.

hm.. i searched in Fury topic and just found why i didnt get any vapor while using the basket screen (microdosing), i didnt pushed it all the way down... i tested it just at the moment and im stoned and happy
so there we go :D theres less flavor than with glass but hey.. its working for my lil dosages.

ty for your answer!
