The Cora is different and horrible..the pods on the Cora open from the bottom.i thought that was the same but it’s not even a rebrand,.they look similar but for some reason the Cora pods have bad airflow and don’t give good hits..I searched and finally found the right ones.

Nice! If you've had the unfortunate experience of buying the Cora, you understand my reluctance to try anything that even LOOKS like it. But I'm glad to hear there's a better alternative because I liked the form factor.

Yes trust me i was so excited to find the cora pods online becuz my dislensary charges an arm and aleg for the filled pods but when i recieved my cora pods in the mail and filled one up with a whole gram of distillate i knew on the first hit that i was doomed..you nailed the downside to cora pods( actually all of the downsides) they just dont work but i understand the relictance but give it a shot..lol

I might give it a whirl! i like pods over carts. But really... what I want to see is a GLASS pod system with ceramic coils. All of this plastic makes me nervous since everything we're using is mighty terpy.

If I had the energy, I'd contact a factory in China myself. I'm sure they can whip one up.

Agreed, been pretty curious of the pod system but haven't tried it for that reason. A borosilicate pod system would quickly catch my attention.

I'm mostly curious at how well the temperature control works on systems like the Era. These stick batteries are really lacking that power control. Proper TC in that Era form factor is really intriguing; but the premium fee for Era carts has me turned off. Seems to run about $10 extra for the same half gram of oil.

Hot damn. Got my eleaf pico today - my first mod...do yourself a favor if you use 510 anything: get a mod. Definitely getting the best pulls I've ever had (vs VV 510 pen) from pre-made carts. Still waiting for my drizzle to arrive.

Side note - anyone know if the amigo liberty v9 can be TC controlled? Thought I saw that but maybe it was the Canadian 710 one. Any recommendations on wattage? 7W seems to be working well and is pulling ~3.7V on this Delta 9 prefilled 1.96ohm cart

Not an expert in regard of the topic but I'm pretty sure a so high resistance atty will not work in TC mode, I think TC is avalaible with sub-ohm atties only.

I have looked into it actually. In a lot of ways, it's an ideal device for me. I would love to be able to carry one battery with a THC pod, and a nicotine pod. Hell, I could fit a pod for nic, sativa, indica, and CBD all in one pocket.

The main thing that has kept me from trying it is the "plastic" pods. They say they're made out of PCTG, which should be a solvent resistant plastic, but I don't know how it would fare with a terpy oil. Especially because a 2 mil pod would last me for a while, so the terps would just be sitting in this plastic pod for some time.

The "push to fill" apparatus makes me a little nervous too, though I've seen it work before and it should completely remove any risk of leaking, which is nice.

The disadvantage compared to the Nexus is, you'll need to buy a whole new pod instead of just a coil when the thing burns out. This leads to slightly higher operating costs, and a lot more litter. Also, while the push to fill system will likely be fine... I can see getting oil out of an expired pod being a pain in the ass.

But.... I still am interested. Mostly because I'm also a nic vape-er. This thing checks a lot of boxes. And I'm impressed with how Vaporesso makes an All in One device with the Nexus, both for oil and nicotine.

Would love to hear if anyone has actually used it. And if any chemists can clue me in on terp safety with "PCTG".

Ok, so the Veco is wasteful for my purposes, but I'm glad I got the fancy battery out of it. Blowing sub-ohm lung clouds of distillate is fun but feels more wasteful than either normal dabbing or a puffing a cart/Nexus, even with draw restricted and power/temp minimized.

So, I have learned to be satistfied with the Nexus for discrete use on-the-go (the puff, that is; the form factor was a go from day one). Now, I am debating whether to try the trinity xl tank or Drizzle for a 510 tank to really sesh on. I will not mind having tinkered with the distillate to terp ratio for a while if I can get it to work as my more tinker-y option, but if the trinity gets super hot or can't be chiefed steadily like a vaporesso or disposable, then someone let me know.

I had nothing but problems with the Trinity XL. There is a thread discussing the product, an it looks like the vast majority of members had similarly poor experiences. It always eventually shot hot oil through the center tube for me. They came out with new heaters that allegedly solved this problem, but I'm not willing to give it another try right now. Shame, because it is made with quality materials... but it just isn't a reliable device.

I'd go with the Drizzle. Agree with you on the Nexus too!

Had a small mishap and cracked the glass tank on my Veco Solo kit. Looked at the Vaporesso site and didn't see any replacements.
Anyone know a reputable place to buy replacements?

Finally got my drizzle today.

It came with 2x coils - neither of which installed. I popped one in, loaded it, waited ~15m for it to wick...hit it on my Pico mod set to 7W and....instant burnt taste. Definitely torched the coil like everyone else. I thought part of the issue is the Drizzle battery being too strong but it happened on my mod too.

Looking into it the 2x coils it came with are 1x ceramic and 1x traditional clapton. Of course I accidentally installed the clapton coil so hoping it'll work better and won't burn with a ceramic coil (soaking right now). Maybe this is part of the issue everyone else had?

Also as far as the Nexus 2s hits go...I just kept the coil in there and appear to have broken to the other side. Getting longer, fuller hits again. Not sure what the deal is but it's performance is definitely satisfactory and form factor is great. Really hoping the drizzle can dial it up a notch for at home use (also stealthy in it's own right since it looks just like a nicotine mod

Edit: Hmm might've been too hasty with the new coil too. Seems like it just takes a while to soak in vs the nexus (straight distillate btw). After letting it sit for a while getting some better clouds although taste is decent but not great (vs nexus). I went back to wattage mode since it seemed like the TC mode really hammered the coil - it's a SS 316 coil and should be set to ~320 F I thought, no?

I must be doing something wrong. Wattage mode ~7-8W seems to work pretty well. Switching to TC mode though and adjust temp to 320 and the wattage to 7.5 gives super hot hits super quickly. Seems way more powerful than the wattage equivalent...

Burnt 2 coils initially trying to use TC with a mod + Drizzle , but TC seems to be for sub-ohm.... Since then I've stuck to smart wattage mode around 7.5W. The mod delivers a much more consistent hit than VV batteries. I'm thinking the mod varies the voltage to achieve a consistent wattage.

It's my first post on this forum. I've read most of this thread but if I missed something I apologize in advance. I've vaped for some time but I'm not expert by any means. However, I have a background in electronics so I understand pretty well how mods and TC modes work.

I decided to give the Drizzle a shot and I've been playing around with it. I've burnt 2 coils in the process (I used ejuice for the tests so at least I didn't mess up any concentrate) but I think I figured out the problem with TC control and this tank.

First, most mods fire with 30-40w for the first 200 milliseconds when in TC mode, regardless of the selected wattage limit. This is to detect whether the coil works with TC: if the resistance doesn't rise as expected it detects it's not compatible and goes back to wattage mode. This method is good for sub-ohm coils but with above-ohm the device sends a lot of wattage and gets the coil too hot. This is why most people are burning them in TC.
When I found this out I changed the firmware of my Wismec to Arctic Fox. Arctic Fox doesn't fire with this "test wattage" so the coil is not overheated from the get go. I made a ss316l profile (TCR 0.00120 by default) but unfortunately by this point my coil was fried and would not change its resistance value so I replaced it.

Once I had the new coil I set it to 220F@15w and fired it. The vapor got hot as f*** quickly but the temperature reading was quite low, like 100F, although the resistance value would sure increase with the heat. I repeated it with different wattages and found out the temperature would always stay way below 200F although it was obviously getting too hot and creating way too much vapor. This made me think the TCR for normal ss316l is too high for this coil. This would also explain why it wouldn't get out of TC mode after the "test wattage" with the standard firmware: the resistance would increase enough to tell the mod it's a TC coil but not enough to work well with ss316l TCR values. The coil already tasted really bad so I tried a 3rd one with a much lower TCR (0.00008) and 390F@10w. This time I got little vapor and the temperature reading would reach 390F (although the actual temperature value is unknown to me). Then I played with slightly higher TCR values until I was happy.

My conclusion: the TCR of the Drizzle coils is much lower than normal ss316l coils and therefore the resistance value doesn't increase as much as expected which causes overheating since the mod keeps outputting the wattage limit indefinitely. Unfortunately I don't have an infrared thermometer to check the actual temperature of the coil and from there figure out an accurate TCR value. However, a TCR=0.00013, 10W limit, and 390F is working fine for me and maintains the temperature (whatever it is the value I'm getting) with long draws. I'll keep testing a few variations of TCR and update if I find a better value. Also I don't know how much variation there is between different coils so my value might not be good for other coils. I'd love to hear other people's results if somebody wants to give it a shot.

I haven't tried it with the concentrate yet but what I was looking for is a more homogeneous draw from the first to the last puff and during the puff.

My problem is that I can't take long puffs since I seem to have some kind of sensitivity to the THC that makes my throat very itchy and eventually feels burnt. However I'm fine with short puffs (I guess it gives my throat a break so it can recover). I've used another non TC coil with the concentrate until now and the first puffs are too weak, sometimes it gets too warm, etc. so it's hard to keep the coil in the sweet spot.

Hopefully this works. I'll try it tonight with the concentrate and see how it goes.

Thanks for the suggestion. I really don't know what causes it. I talked to my dispensary and they mentioned a possible sensitivity to THC but it could be anything. I always had to mix my plants with tobacco to be able to smoke them (which sucked). Something like 40% plant - 60% tobacco. I was hopeful it would be different with oil but it was an absolute no go (I literally felt like my throat was burnt for over 1 hour, if you've had some really bad acid reflux while sleeping the feeling was the same). So I wanted to dilute it quite a bit and decided to mix it up with Wax Liquidizer (6:1 at this point). Now I can take those short puffs with very little issues. Long ones are still pretty bad, although better than with the original oil. Would you suggest a specific type of concentrate to try in the future? Dispensary said this one was co2-extracted cannabis oil and cannabis terpenes.

Regarding the Drizzle I was happy with what I experienced yesterday. The first puff was already good although I'd say by the 4th it was slightly warmer (not 100% sure, I have to try more times). You can see on the screen that the temperature goes fast to 390F and cuts down power if not inhaling (again, 390F is not the real temperature value since I don't know the actual TCR) but it stays below it if inhaling which suggests TC is working to some extent. What I'm thinking is the changes on the resistance value are so small that the microcontroller might not have the necessary resolution to act accordingly, which makes the TC more inaccurate. An example that I like to use when explaining this type of issues: like trying to write small letters with a huge heavy pen.

I'll try in wattage mode today to see the difference.

Using a wattage curve may be more useful with the Drizzle. When I use the Drizzle, I use 7 watts(coil is rated 9 to 13 watts) which delivers great hits.

Hey folks, I had purchased a Veco a while back when this thread was much shorter. Still digging it with the exception of juice loss when low on fuel. Just popped on and did some reading and just placed an order for the drizzle, excited for fuller tank use. I'm also looking to move from using pre-filled syringes to possibly breaking down waxes and the such via liquidizers to be used on these set-ups. looking for ease of use/operation while trying to keep costs down. it seems like liquidizers may be my best route?

What are the current favored liquidizers? Is anything additional needed other than liquidizers?

Just placed an order for Drizzle. You can now on fasttech website, but they have a ship date of roughly a week i think it was. roughly $14 vs $18-19 for the kit w/ battery
