Best cartridges for distillate

EXCELSIOR!
I have been using some CCELL carts on a eVic VTC Dual a little bit over the last week or two and I have enjoyed figuring them out sure. They arent perfect, but they are pretty awesome! I think they have work left to do yet to make them better but they are pretty good as they are.

I am waiting on a Toko pen style battery to try with them aswell. @invertedisdead what wattage are you using with your CCELL carts on your eVic? And what resistance do your carts read, also do you lock your resistance in? I put arcticfox on my eVic, but havent done much customizing yet.

I have interest in LAYG style options aswell, such as DT attys, or possibly w9's new stuff, but they wont match the level of ease and convenience that the cartridges have.

I find the Evic Dual is a treasure at like $24 lol Wowser!!!

With the DCV2 Dry Herb & DC2 .5 & V3 Rebuild & QQ & Sai Ti/Skillet Bucket/Donut heater Combo , you really need a Dual so you stop switching att's.
I found heaven in sinplicity & function at these settings for Ti Bucket

If you're into doing small 2 hitters on the TI/Bucket Combo
there is so much info on setting ect but if you want to throw
in say .2 of a g (this is stay at home vape-not travel in pocket )
Set TCR to 333 Watts to 40 & temp start at 310 low - ramp to 360)
Keep like a pool similar to a cart but much nicer & I just keep toping
it off as long as it has oil covering bottom of TI CUP.
You can blast all the way to 480-500 to clean or finish bowl when done
I put some distilled water in an old eye drop bottle
(easy to squeeze out a few drops to boil clean by pulsing))

Went ahead and placed an order for a couple TH210 CCell's and a Palm battery.

Planning on using just straight distillate since I have some already in syringes. If I find the flavor to be lacking, I might add a drop or two of some plant based terpene blends, but I'd have to really want it. Taking the distillate out of the syringe, mixing it, and then getting it back in is a tedious and messy process.

I'll likely use my iStick Power most of the time, since I can create a soft warm up curve with Arctic Fox.

Picked up the Palm for ultimate stealth. The size of that thing looks amazing. Especially with the counter sunk cartridge.

Hoping the Palm produces tasty results, if so, it might become my daily driver over the iStick. Depending on battery life of course. But since these things only need 5-7W, I expect the battery to last a decent enough time.

I've always had what is probably a very stupid question.

A Ccell cart will taste great down to the last drop.

Why couldn't I just load a bunch of straight concentrate into a bucket atomizer, and use it as a "cart", without it turning into a reclaim-y mess? To me, it's still just concentrate in contact with a heating element. It may have something to do with using dewaxed oil in cartridges, but I'm still curious because I think I'm missing something obvious.

That's exactly what I do with the Ti/Skillet/bucket combo.
I'm up to like .2 & simmer & skim off vapor without burning or cooking bottom oil.
There is No way to leak but you can't carry it around as it can overflow when hot.

Nice. So if I'm only loading a rice grain amount in my bucket, I get 2, maybe 3 good tasting hits. At that point it is mostly vaped. But if I go for a 3rd or 4th hit to get every last bit, the rest will taste like reclaim, as all the good tasting terps are now gone. For me, it's then q-tip time.

When you load .2 grams in the bucket, does the taste hold for multiple hits?

Do normal box mods have any airflow issues with ccell carts?

I've used them successfully with Liberty carts, but those are top airflow.

As mentioned, as long as you only screw it in 90-95% its fine, if all the way in though it seals on my eVic VTC Dual.

As for why I would still use cartridges for certain times even after I get my LAYG options, its mostly for convenience and on the go use in situations where stealth is a bonus. With the LAYG options its not as convenient for bringing out, and will likely need to be reloaded which isnt always possible. When people see me using my eVic Dual with the CCELL carts, they just think Im using nic juice unless they know what it is themselves already.
The LAYG options are still quite stealthy, but simply dont have the convenience of not needing to be reloaded and not needing to be kept upright or in a different specific orientation.

Thanks for the heads up @tennisguru1 I had suspicions I would want to use the DT attys with 2 cells, I do have 2 so I should be set haha. It is a sweet mod, I like it so far seems pretty neat and I like the versatility of 1 or 2 cells.

@Roth I think you will like the Palm, let us know how you feel about it after you get to know it. It sounds like a awesome battery for these cartridges.

I'm on the 5th or 6th & it's pretty nice, lol.
Hard to test these methods without melting away.

Here's the thing about the 510 connector.
Get a nice heatsink for all your mods & fit it to your atty's depth
I got a diff one for diff mods.
The Evic twin mini has a nice springy pin moves more freely
The Evic Dual seems stiff, had to adjust heatsync to make better
contact. They are all a little different.

Ah ok makes sense, saves the mods connector from getting worn out I guess? So something like this would work? https://www.amazon.com/Heat-Dissipation-Sink-Atomizers-Tank/dp/B015K8HQCQ

I have another dumb question.

Since it looks like HTFSE + Distillate carts are the wave of the future, and straight HTFSE isn't widely available to me in the SoCal market... would it be possible to "Flavor" raw distillate with the "Sauce" I do have available to me? The sauce I have around here usually has very large crystals, but it wouldn't be too hard to scoop out some crystal-less sauce to add to the distillate.

Am I missing something here? I don't know if the "sauce" is full of lipids or anything that would prevent this from working.

IMO maybe! If it's actually saucy and doesn't hinder the viscosity from wicking properly I don't see why not. Just gotta watch out for apple sauce with a bunch of small crystals as that would definitely not wick and start crystallizing in the tank. Some of the sauces seem super clean and almost translucent, others do seem more waxy.

I hear you though, after trying it recently I need a cheaper way to make it because it's the best stuff ever! I hope that in the future we can just easily acquire 1g syringes of the stuff. It's hard to hit another cart since... flavor is seriously better than a rig hit. FWIW Beezle claims to use 60% distillate + 40% HTE.

I have been using the Vaporesso Nexus and a Juul for distillate for the past few days. The Nexus is fuss free and convenient, but doesn't deliver a very dense, satisfying hit on any temperature setting or airflow level. Always too airy and cool. The Juul delivers satisfactory vapor but the wicked coil limits me to about a third of a dense lungful and the air flow rod thru the middle of the pod gets clogged and needs to be sucked free before hitting. Also, the Juul pods are annoying to get a good seal on when refilling to prevent opening and leaking. Either way, I feel like I have two imperfect solutions.

I used to get prefills that hit hard with a variable-voltage Ooze 510 battery. I'm thinking about going back to empty ccell th201's but I wanted a less disposable solution (although I was scared away from the trinity tank).

I think the ccell palm or one of the Vaporesso mods would be good for me but they are two different solutions. I think maybe what I want is thick DTL hits but whatever is most like a dab but isn't load-as-you-go. The guardian tank looks good because of the metal shield hiding the distillate and protecting the glass but I don't hear about that one much on the thread, where people seem to like the veco or drizzle. I just want rips that smack similar to pre-filled carts on simple stick batteries.

Try the NRG or the Cascade tank, the GT CCell coil in those tanks delivers smooth and powerful hits.

Depends on the mod. The swag mod is designed in such a way that the CCell carts don't work because of the bottom air flow. I wouldn't keep one of the carts on my mod because they eventually leak at the bottom.

I have the best flavor and the nicest hits with what my dispensary in fl sells overpriced as the ald amaze?? It’s a pod system that can be refilled and is best tasting option yet. I use ccells as my 2nd option. I’ve seen these pods in ca labeled as plug and play..I’m telling you guys fill the pod up..no clogging and great flavor. My dispensary calls it the trustick but when I found exact match it was the ald amaze. And also ccell is coming out with the dart which is their pod system..but seriously try out the ale amaze..no shit...

My first time today with distillate -- I am no longer a cherry boy. A friend gave me a cart which I really had no idea what I was doing because our vape conversation was weird, I was talking Flower Pot and whole leaf vapes like have defined FC for some time and he was talking star trek cannabis which I missed lmao! I took the cartridge he gave me home and hit the interwebs and discovered what I needed (a 510 threaded battery) and went to the vape shop where a pretty nice girl set me up for about $12 bucks.

Anyway I am now convinced my friend has shown me the future. This genie is never going back into the bottle. Simply amazing cannabis of pharmaceutical quality. Holy hell I am impressed. This stuff really moved me in a very special way because it is the perfection of cannabis on so many levels.

It was Heavy Hitters Skywalk OG that got me jabbering.

The heavy hitters are pretty good. I had issues with them leaking once they got low though. Plus they're kinda pricey around here and I guess we don't really know what's been added to help it vape.

Got my v9 ccells but just haven't loaded any yet. Got a pico mod on the way that I want to use for TC with the ccell. Also got a drizzle on the way. I'm fairly pleased with the nexus and I'm hoping the drizzle will bring it to the next level for a daily driver.

Nexus is running OK. Haven't had the same clogging issue once I replaced the coil so not sure what that was about. Although it did start misbehaving (no hit/vapor production at all but the light indicated on). I left it standing over night and it went away so....also not sure what that's about.

I'm currently having the issue where it hits for like 2s and then starts flashing red. Tried cleaning the contacts a few times but still persists. I should probably change the coil but it's a little frustrating since there's some distillate in the coil and I didn't exactly purchase the nexus to change coils every week. Hoping the drizzle is more reliable. That said, I'm still fairly satisfied and it's great for stealth but there's some room for improvement. Plus even though it only hits for 2s...it's still a pretty good hit lol. Just hit that 3-4 times and good to go

I have this same issue with the Nexus but it's not a problem two hits does the trick for me and the convenience and stealth far outweigh this problem for me. It would be great if it was a setting though, full blast or two second toke.

I had the same issue, but I don't think it had anything to do with the connections being dirty. I think they are putting out some bum coils. Eventually I put a coil in there that has been allowing full 5 second plus pulls with no flashing red lights. This is the third coil from a 5 pack. The first 2 pretty quickly lead to that temp control/red blinking light issue after a 2 second pull.

Not sure why you guys would use something so inconsistent? Great pod system with top notch flavor in the ald amaze..alot of dispensaries rebrand it to fit their products. Best flavor from a refillable pod.or any type of cart for that matter.ive tried them all except the drizzle and veco.

I tried a rebrand of that called the Vapedynamics Cora. Maybe I got bum pods with it, but I hated it. Kinda leaky, burnt tasting hits, and restrictive airflow. I found the Nexus to be far superior.

It's possible the Cora is just a bad rebrand, because I've heard good things about the "Plug n Play" prefill pods in California. They seem to use a similar battery and pods.
