Instant mindfuck...
Will I be able to Vape two bowls directly through the Tera if I packed one bowl in the oven and one bowl in the solo stem??

With the tera bowl empty an air or solo stem is pretty far from the heat already, it's hard to get much extraction. I'd imagine going through a packed bowl down in the tera first would make it work even less.

@Rollingstoned I might have to give that a try anyway, just out of curiosity.

I've mostly been using the stock glass mouthpiece - this has become my favourite method of consumption mainly due to it's flavour. I'm getting used to the oven and the vapour production does seem to last quite long. I can roast at 370 for at least 2 cycles before turning the temperature up sometimes 3. Then if I feel like it I'll give the temp a boost anywhere between 390-420 and I'm where I want to be. The avb is always even.

I've just discovered that the easy flow adaptor for the mighty (the glass one -3rd party) can be used to replace the plastic mouthpiece. I'm sure this has been mentioned before - I'm yet to try it, Tera is on charge.

I watched their instagram story/video from last night. I fell asleep early - done a lot of overtime this week :2c::2c::2c: so I missed it. I think they're available for 24 hours from the start of the video

There was a session with the CFV, it has a new box and a minor update i think mostly cosmetic and a little bit on the battery.

They also tested out the dosing caps for the Tera. They seem to work well from what I saw. I'd seen a photo during the week and there seemed to be less holes than the s&b caps but it didn't look like it hindered production/air flow. They were made from stainless steel.

It's amazing to see accessories being developed, this vape is becoming so versatile with the different options for mouthpieces, with the caps this is going to be truly portable - load and go, no worries, no fuss. Eric did wonder if the CFV mouthpiece would fit the Tera, from what I've read it should do. It might just be a bit long to swivel and store (probably a little bit of overhang)

The other thing Eric mentioned was that the desktop model has been postponed, I guess things have had to slow down a little in light of recent events but the good news is if he's said it's postponed then it's still in their plans although maybe a year or more down the line.

Another thing that was mentioned was a teal Tera? I never saw that but there's an image on page 3 of this thread of a yellow/gold coloured one. It doesn't look like these other colours are coming at least not anytime soon so they're just sticking with the black.

Now I'm going to go try the easyflow mouthpiece and then a stem stack - I guess at the worst it could be something like the flavour chamber from the IQ.

+6 hours so can't edit for double posting.

I only tried the easy flow mouthpiece. This was really enjoyable. Very terpy again for the first few draws then some nice vapour production. It definitely felt cooler than the stock plastic mouthpiece even at higher temperatures. I went up to 410 for the last cycle.

I also remembered a little more from the stream and looked at something and am a little confused.

1) the website has been updated - go have a look. It looks quite a bit cleaner to me. Easier to navigate.

2) this doesn't really relate to this thread so sorry for the slight derail. I mentioned they were demoing the CFV 2.0 if I'm right Eric mentioned that this was using a chamber more similar to the Tera now. Was the CFV the one with the interchangeable rings and sort of removable chamber? I guess I'll go look at the CFV thread. I was really keen on that idea. Being able to remove a section of the bowl for cleaning and the different flavours/profile produced by different materials. I think something was mentioned in the earlier pages along the lines of a chamber insert. Not sure if this would be possible and it would definitely reduce the size of the chamber.

Anyway I just wanted to post that thought while it was fresh in my head. I'll try the long stem and bowl combo later today and post back.

Happy Sunday, Happy vaping.

*update @Rollingstoned awesome idea! Double stacking is very flavourful. I put a screen in the stem. Packed it not tight, quite loose then another screen on top. The tera ones that are on the bottom of the gaskets. Then inserted the stem in to the gasket. The tera had a loaded bowl. I found quite light vapour production for quite a few draws- only my 2/3Rd time of using the stem.

It's very cool flavourful vapour. I bumped up to 390 - still a good flavour and cool. The glass does get hot at the bottom. 428 max temp was a little warmer but not harsh. I coughed a few times. I got abut 4 and a half cycles out of this session. I didn't over pack either section.

Avb in the stem was a little lighter than the chamber but still noticeably roasted. Fairly even.

It definitely adds to the experience.

Very interesting. I'm thinking of various possibilities. Definitely mixing types of strains. Like high cbd in one chamber and thc in another. Or using herbs like lavender in the second chamber. I love vaping other herbs like lavender but when the taste taints the vape it needs a good clean. Being able to take that part out and easily clean would be very appealing.

This vape kicks ass.

Hello,

I've just received my Tera and I am a little bit confused. Maybe someone could help me getting some answers. Thanks in advance.

I've ordered the Tera in version 3, hope it is truly a version 3, because the smell is not that good. Especially the silicon used in the bottom of the mouthpiece. I put the things in boiled water, in Iso, in boiled water and so on, maybe the smell will go away. Is it only me or is there anybody else who got this problem?

The other thing is, I got the Tera and it wasn't shrinked wrapped. I own a CFX too and when I got the CFX, it was shrinked wrapped. The Tera "only" comes with a hygienic seal. I don't know how the Teras were delivered to the shop, where I got my Tera, but it is confusing. Maybe they put the seal themselves on the package and try to sell me some refurbished Tera for the price of a new one.
I try to look up some unboxing videos, the one from puffitup with the teardown for version 3 was shrink wrapped, so maybe I am right, but I hope I am not. So is there anybody whos Tera came only with a hygienic seal?

Thanks and greetings

I got my Tera direct from boundless and there was no shrink wrap. This was last week. Also to be sure it is a V3 on the bottom of the unit should be a very faint serial # and I believe on the box as well. If it begins with the letter "A" it is a V3. As for the smell , I had the same thing with the rubber that holds the screens in. I gave them a quick shake in a bag of some iso and then I let them all soak in some soap and water for a few hours. It helped allot but it was still very faint , after 2-3 sessions now I have 0 smell.

Unsure ISO is a good thing to use on silicone though... if you do, try to make the soaking quick.
That's why I stated a quick shake. I believe if left soaking it could start to deteriorate. After that a quick rinse with water. I have heard of some leaving them in some coffee grinds as well for a day but I have not tried it as the smell quickly dissipated for me.

Oh I'm sure you're careful! My remark was more aimed at our new member above.

By the way, being the silicone snob that I am, is it possible to remove it all from the Tera? We had none in the CFV/SwiftPro so it's a step backwards somehow no?

Yeah it is , that main gasket that holds the screen pops right out and it can be used without it. I have not tried yet but I believe a arizer eq elbow bowl/screen will fit right in its place. I actually use one of the included screens right over my load after I pack so I really do not need that silicone piece there also. I'm still in the experimenting stage. Should have a few of my thoughts up about the Tera next week.

Thanks for your answers. I left it only for 5 Minutes in Iso. And it was not only Iso, I mixed some 71% with water. Could say 30ml Iso in 300ml Water. Thougt so too that it wouldnt be good at all. I've read that it could be work if I boil the Silicone for a couple of minutes.

To the shrink wramp - I asked in Boundless Chat and they told me that normally all packages leave shrink wrapped. I dont know why you get it with no shrink wrap like me...

I'm not to sure why it did not have the shrink wrap but the device and all accessories looked to be untouched , clean and had not even a finger print on them. They also had the sticker sealing them closed. I'm not worried at all, Boundless has been great in the customer service department and if a issue ever arose I know they would handle it the right way. As for boiling the silicone , that may be a good idea. It will go away after a few uses though as mine did.

Just to make sure, I dont want to cause any trouble. I love the Boundless CFX and read a lot about Boundless, thats why I give them a chance after two versions beeing not that good.
For you I think everything is fine, because you ordered directly from Boundless. I've bought the Tera from an onlineshop. The seal looked like anybody could get. Nothing so special. And the language on the seal is german and english. I cant believe Boundless would let the Tera go overseas only sealed with some sticker. And I cant believe they put some german words on the sticker.

Does anyone know how to remove the glass mouthpiece from the magnet so i can put a solo stem on it? I really like the magnet because when i use just the rubber gasket and the stem its not real solid

Just pull the glass mouthpiece out, then just push the ss holder out of the magnetic piece.

Is there a serial number on the bottom of your Tera? It’s very faint, so look hard.

Longtime lurker and first time poster. Got the Tera V2 one week before the recall back in May, and I just received my Tera V3 (finally! Thanks, Eric).

I've implemented the Arizer stem w/ glass mouthpiece modification, and the experience improvement over the standard offerings is so significant that I feel sure Boundless will respond with their own options eventually. The easier airflow and cooler drawing temp makes the Tera's dosing experience really hard to improve upon. It's not that the stock mouthpieces aren't workable, but more air over a longer path seems to give better flavor and longer draws. It's a functional advantage that engineers at Boundless should capitalize on.

Some of the user feedback/mods on this thread are golden. Perhaps a separate thread for Tera mods?

Just wanted to share that I have been using Sneaky Pete's and PIU's dimpled Arizer Solo/Solo2/Air/Air2 stem with my Tera, and I feel they improve the experience even further when compared with standard long straight Arizer stems that I have. Always cool draw and less resistance (or maybe just easier to pull given its shape), IMHO, and I love the mouthpiece.

The dimples on Sneaky Pete's are longer, sometimes touching the dimples from the other side, so there is more surface area, and it rips with the double stacked method (loaded bowl and loaded stem), the genius idea brought up in a previous post.
