Don't you find it awesome that here we are, a sub-thread in a thread in a forum on a website dedicated to vaping?
AND we are many different nationalities, races, ages.. . . we have all sorts of different professions, problems, hobbies, (sometimes hobby-horses), family setups etc. etc. etc.
AND YET, with time personalities begin to appear, little in-jokes arise. We occasionally get trolled and we all handle it in different ways :goon:. The world has truly changed - virtual friendship truly does exist, at least in my opinion. This thread is like walking into Cheers, except better, real
AND ALL OF THIS because we each, somehow discovered DYNAVP
Talk about niche :D
Anyhoo, I'm really high now and gonna watch Deadpool (and then Deadpool 2 - why not? I'm on holiday :)).

Maybe some folks buy them compulsively? End up having too many VCs (blasphemy)?
Clearly never happened to anyone here...

After awhile.....

You just stop counting.;)

I have never adjusted a cap while it's on the tip.

I remove the cap from the tip, place my thumb and forefinger near the bottom of the cap; the open end, with my thumb on the digger outer side and my other finger on the opposite side. A gentle but firm squeeze will adjust and tighten the fit.....most of the time...
I’ll back up from my pronouncement, then.

The only time I’ve been faced with the issue, I had the cap ON, and it was a simple matter to gently squeeze it back into working order. It took a couple of tries, but still. It never occurred to me to do it in mid-air: my hands are quite strong, and I’m in the habit of making sure I can’t damage something permanently, so adjusting the cap to the tip, it seemed quite natural to do it that way.

If I sounded dismissive, my apologies!

Not at all!! It never occurred to me to try to flex the cap with the tip in the way. If it works for you to squeeze while assembled, that's all that counts.

FWIW, I'm a woman and never feel that the brute strength that I may apply could damage anything.

JESUS 'FREAKIN' CHRIST!

So you're the one who's been cornering the custom stem market!

How many years does all of that represent?

Do you think maybe you can take a breather and let me buy one or two? :myday:

It represents three years worth of collecting.

OK. Now it's your turn. I promise not to hog anymore lists.

:spliff::spliff:

Looks like a Heritage Collection.

All that’s needed is a display cabinet for your Crown Jewels. :spliff:

Some of my Vapcaps will be specified in my will. I plan on living a long long time but I'm confident all will be working and functional and relevant when the time comes.:myday:

These were my thoughts exactly when I first started reading through this forum. Nice post, man.
I like how so much of the content posted here is created by 'elevated' minds :spliff:

Just FYI for anyone who has a dweeb in their life that they would like to gift a VapCap launch pad.

Computer hard drives use extremely strong molybdenum magnets to balance the read/write arm. If you have an old hard drive or old computer you are going to throw out, take the hard drive apart (a few torx screws) and lift the top magnet off. What remains makes a pretty neat launch pad for the nerd in your life.

Brilliant. There's the spare dynamag I needed. These really are super-strong. I randomly had a magnet-collecting phase a few years back. I guess it's finally going to serve a practical purpose.

The cap is really quite delicate, and I couldn’t feel the ‘ends’ of the cap’s ellipse just turning it in my fingers. The cap in position let me SEE where it was binding, so a quick squeeze, tiny further adjustments, done in 30 seconds...and me wearing 15-year-old glasses.

I understand about the strength thing, but I’ve been told all my life to be careful and watch out (sometimes quite angrily). Also, as a massage therapist I need to be extra aware of my use of force.

Your collection is amazing, and must be a great pleasure to you. I made an inventory when I was cleaning: I have 2 Ti 7-fin, one Ti 5-fin, and two SS - one OE, one sandblasted. Two Ms as above, two Omni bodies, a 14mm Nonavong, and an XL condenser. The angular-spiral body replaced the cross hatched one that was part of the OE...now I need a mouthpiece to replace the one I lost

So many things. Too many to quote (or just too lazy).

I also squeeze caps while off tips. Never tried while on. Might also work.

I DO have a separate tip and cap for all my dynavaps at the moment. That will probably change in the future though. (Only have 6 for now [wait 7 counting my ed’s Stem])

Old dynavap logo is beautiful. Now to find a stem that actually has the old logo. Lol. I do like that the new one is more discreet though.

@Squiby that collection is ridiculous! Ridiculously incredible! I’ll get there some day. Worried I’ll have trouble with the older Omni versions.

This IS like a cheers bar! Never thought about the fact that we are from different countries, continents even! Pretty awesome in a time where so many people are so intent on being divisive.

The cap just falls off.
Are you always supposed to hold it cap up, so it doesn't fall?
.................................................................................
Cap is meant to be secure, work in any position.

Gently give the cap a firm squeeze to make it slightly out of round. Then it will snug up/stay on.
You can use a pliers WITH a rag to cover the sharp teeth. Careful to just tweak slightly out of round.

Wow! thanks for the magnet tip. I have had a hard drive sitting around for years. So, I went down to the shop and ripped that sucker apart. Two nice, strong magnets waiting for a new life.

Oh! Maybe this is old news, but it was news to me. Found out American helix actually developed the grav labs helix also. Grav brought the developer into their company for a while, and when they went there separate ways, decided to continue paying him royalties to use it.

That holder with the cover makes for an amazing display, and (I imagine) super useful to boot!
My Vapcap holder is an antique cigarette and tobacco box. Antique, like me.

In the pic are my collection of stashes. They aren't antique. But they will be one day.
