Removing Water Stains / Mineral Build Up (Not Resin) From Glass

In my cases looks like the vinegar doesn't like do the trick. I'm now trying to leave it for two days soaking and see the results, but has anyone ever tried using the descaling solution sold in supermarkets used for kettles? After all, once treated, the kettle is ready to heat up water for you tea/coffee, so it shouldn't really be toxic. Any input is v appreciated.

Hey could anyone recommend some ways to get my glass clean? The first nice tube I bought is all foggy looking where the water level sits/bubbles. I've tried letting it soak in grunge off for a day but no luck :(
Just looking for some suggestions..

Modnote: The following 5 posts were split into their own thread. :)

@Stu @ilsasta

When using vinegar you need to heat it up in the microwave first.
Get it boiling and then add to your WT, just be careful not to breathe when you open the microwave door!
Swirl around for a bit and then add a bit of bicarbonate of soda to get the fizzy action going.
Shake around, do not block ends totally as air pressure builds.

I find this is quick and easy and gets everything off my WT's.

Hey guys, I have a water stain around the torus of my incycler. I have used PBW with hot water for a day soak. I also tried CLR for a night soaking in hot water as well which eventually cools to room temp. ISO and salt.. Nothing works. its just white material build up that been swirling around cuz of tap water. This is my first rig with this build up so i didnt know about distilled water back then. Now i have gallons of distilled in my garage.

I tried letting white vinegar sit inside for a night and nothing but I havent tried white vinegar and salt tho which i may tonight. Thanks!

I cant get a brush inside to clean the outside of the torus and this has been pissing me off lately too.

Read my post above.
Hot vinegar is required and then bicarbonate of soda to get it to fizz and extra clean.
