Ok guys so I'm a noob and this has probably been discussed a million times already on this thread but I can't find much in the past 5 pages I've read.

#1: Are there any box mods with the 510 threads that's recessed and would fit the stempod, so the pod isn't sticking out quite as far?

#2: What are the best/most versatile modsfor the Stempod? Can I do Tubo Evic stuff with the Stempod?

#3: How do I get a Stempod delivered to my door in the next two hours? So wanting it now!! :)

Thanks humanz

The MPL website is still showing the notch coils ? I'm confused.

I too would love to know the answers to these. I'm guessing that having a cruise control function would be good. As I think about it, it seems that the ideal would be a cruise control/ autofire mode that pulses the power rapidly to prevent overheating while maintaining temperature.

1. Any recess will not be enough to justify the minimal amount of shorter height.

2. Yes, many use various types of 18mm glass mouth pieces.

3. Sorry won't happen....not in your geographical location. Sorry you will have to wait longer if you purchase one.

Well I checked its does fit inside the disguiser without the battery cover on. Not sure if I can file cover down enough to make it work.It does work in tc mode.

Might fit on Witcher with a heatsink But Witcher mod not worth buying it is iffy at best in in tc.

Will try toss up some pics later

It's just a matter of finding a SBS mod fitting the stempod diameter, but it's definitely worth it. All these 510 dry herb attys (iHeat, Splinter etc) look so silly on regular mods. Unless you like walkie talkies...

Yep. Currently the plan is to remove the StemPod from the mod before putting in pocket, which is not ideal.

Mod box makers need to catch up with the bigger size attachments available now!

Some folks here are talking about designing a SBS mod for our purposes... can't find the thread now.

It would be good if people (preferably the makers ) would upload configurations for all the attachments and popular mods/ firmwares, on a dedicated thread. I'm having some trouble deciding on a mod and firmware but I have pretty much set my sights on the StemPod for a portable that I can throw around without worrying about breaking or scratching it (especially once I have a wooden stem for it)
I'm currently mostly looking at the Wismec Sinuous 80 because it looks good, runs the good firmware, and it's small. The sur_myevic firmware discussed earlier seems to be from Russia and there are no English instructions for it which makes me hesitant.

Here’s some info that might be helpful
I like the p80 a lot with Stempod.
The instructions are translated by browser addons for the Russian software.

I also have the Wismec Sinuous 80. Its a small device and the thing I like about it is that it has a plastic body with a metal battery door. You can keep in your pocket with other things and not worry about scratching it up like you would with some of the other mods. This will be my travel mod and I will use a dual cell at home. I agree with @KeroZen these things do look silly and with some glass mouthpieces look like a light saber. I need to buy some of those silicon bands to protect glass stems as these can tip over quite easily.

It would be cool if they make a mod with a bottom up facing joint off an extension so it is inline with body or something like that. I would rather a wider one then a long setup with a glass mp sticking way up.

Sort of like how Arizer made the Argo in comparison to the Air and Solo.

They do make those mods like Athena and movkin among others, but the diameter wouldn't fit the SP and the firmware is horrible

Here is a SBS Stempod setup.
It's my Stempod on the Movkin Disguiser mod.
The battery cover doesn't close all the way. I Might be able to make it fit but
would have to file the battery cover down a lot.

Don't think I'm going bother with it. I bought this mod with iheat.
FYI- The disguiser mod is black. The wood look is just a sticker to match iheat.

Its not really a good travel combo. The movkin mod is a large and heavy mod. It's bigger than the Wismec Reuleaux.
Being it's a older mod with hidden usb port I don't see anyone making updated firmware. Altho it runs in TC mode fine still be nice if upgradable.

Since my stempod is used out and about, away from home. So I been really happy with on the little Wismec Sinuous P80. Now with the SME firmware installed it's even better.

I didn't think cruise would be something I'll use. After playing with it might need to rethink that.
The side led in the Sinuous works great for seeing if it's firing or not.

Anyone looking for a inexpensive well performing Mod to pair with a stempod. Should at least consider the Wismec Sinuous P80.

I'm still looking for a nice stem that will fit the SP. I'm looking for a short wooden stem like the one pictured in a previous post by @HerbieVonVapster. I've searched for Tubo Evic and RBT stems but I don't like the wooden Tubo stems, and the only RBT stems that I found appear to be colored glass.

Can anyone point me to a source? Thanks.

All my wooden stems are from Alan he produces some awesome wooden stems and other products. Send him a PM here I'm sure he help you get just the stem you like. He also produce them for the Lil Bud.

Ordering a black wood for stempod should look great together.

Just got my order. It came with the SS316 coil installed. What setting should I run it on? I've read different numbers everywhere and not sure what's the good starting point. Did a quick test following the manual and got no vapor, currently at TCR215 30W 400F.

Bump the wattage to 60, 30 won't maintain the temp with your draw speed as well

Got my SP a couple of days ago.
Been dialing in the technique on wattage and got some good stems in last night.

Currently running at 0.24ohms 40watts. I wait until the coils glow which doesn't take more than 2-3 seconds, then I re-tap the power button to reset the puff timer and away I go. Got the air inlet set to about 50% and I draw at a medium to slow rate.

Getting lite even golden AVB. If I up the watts to 45 I can get darker AVB but I tend to get a hot spot in the middle with my current draw style.

I'm running on an eVic Primo + ArcticFox.

Will be playing with TC at some point but wanted to get to know the unit with the basic wattage mode first.

It's still early days and I'm holding off my judgement until I have run it in for a few months but so far I'm liking the SP. It's a solid unit, no fear of breaking it.

I like the stock stem more than I thought I was going to, the basket end is a little uneven. By this I mean it was cut at a slight angle and has a dent or two but it doesn't seem to be affecting the results.

In the future I would love to see a 510 extension cord in the accessories section for use with bubblers.

I like the wooden box, it's not a pocket carry solution but works well for shipping, presentation and throwing in a suitcase. There seems to be quite a bit of space available under the SP slot, might be worth considering for the basket screens, spare coils and material stash. Would allow you to shrink the whole unit by a few cm's both height and width. :2c:

Well done @supershredderdan, for a great first product release, I think you have done exceptionally well.

Are there any other vapes like the Movkin Disguiser with the concealed/hidden tank which can seat a stempod natively or with some modifying?

Been searching for awhile for SBS mod that fits the 510 device's. There is even is talk about designing one on here. So far the only one found has been Movkin. The witcher might work with a heatsink but mods is kinda outdated doesn't do tc well etc.

So current choice are Movkin or find someone to design build a custom mod. Sorry be bearer of bad news on SBS mods. Just been looking for months and have come up empty handed finding anything but the Movkin and Witcher that fit even the iheat. It's the smallest 510 at 25mm.

How many stem loads can you get through (fully roasted) with a single 18650 battery on this?

Does the Wismec Sinuous P80 have an option to disable the LED light when firing?

Fresh battery would roughly say 7 stems at 7-10 hits per stem.

Yes you can turn off the led lights of the Sinuous P80. This Mods is also used @supershredderdan me and couple others. Personally feel unless going spring for a DNA or other high quality chip. You really can't go wrong with P80. Toss the SME firmware on it for cruise. AF isn't bad either.

Biggest issue with mods is no real set standards across the board that work. One mods TC value might be totally different than another Mod. Some have no real adjustments. Some just TCR. More advance add TRF.

So really it's hard to help someone new get a mod set up. It's nice that Dan's able offer a starting point with the TCR number. Being that there so many mods out there. Would suggest not to take those numbers as written in stone. Depending on device your may end up totally different.

Personally I use TRF over TCR you get a better hit when resistance is plotted as a curve instead of a straight line.

DNA AF SME and other software mods allow you to use TRF. Since it's using the coils wire material know resistance and way it changes it works the best.

Really the material CSV file is what really the best sharable setting since same used by both escribe AF FJ SME devices.

Here's a 316L TRF usable in above software. Copy to notepad change ext to csv. Import under materials.
TCR would one number value used across the range of temperatures.

"Temperature (degF)","Electrical Resistivity"
-148,0.8646
68,1
212,1.0795
302,1.1258
392,1.1678
482,1.2075
572,1.2463
932,1.3844

Looking at graph below is the way TRF plots the resistance change. With TCR it's the same value used across the board. Can you guess what's going give you the best reading :)

Just been looking for months and have come up empty handed finding anything but the Movkin and Witcher that fit even the iheat. It's the smallest 510 at 25mm.

The problem is that these attachments are too wide. There are a lot of SBS mods that can host smaller diameter attachments. For instance most variants of the Project, or say the whole DivineTribe range etc, fit in many mods.

It's clear we can get 14mm stem systems easily in 510 form. But we're struggling with 18mm systems, they are too fat. The Stempod looks better in this regard (even more if you remove the silicone sleeve)

I think we could make a version of the Project PureSF with a 18mm cut female joint blank though, but it would have the glass exposed like in the 14mm version. But it's less of a problem once shielded in a SBS mod. I'm enjoying the PureSF in a SmoAnt Knight v2 and it's quite good. I prefer larger stem systems though. Something between 14 and 18mm like the Nomad is an excellent compromise.

The Witcher mod will take up to 25mm so the StemPod won't fit. That mod looks terrible anyway.

All that needs doing really is to find one of these in a larger size (this is on Fasttech, "IGNITION Base for 510 Atomizer and Mod" , "It allows any 510 threaded atomizer or mod to connect but is made for 22mm devices.") and make a nice wooden case around it to hold the gear.

This may even work as is with a slim mod but it will look a bit weird.

My SP came in today, and after my first session, this thing's a total winner. From ease of use to flavor consistency, I don't think this thing has a flaw. I just threw it on one of my mods I have laying around (espion) put it to 31w and the AFC half closed and let it rip (no o ring). I got big hits EVERY time, and heatup is like 1-1.5 seconds literally.

The flavor really surprised me. It stays very consistent throughout the session, and I didn't get any charred or burnt taste at all. Abv was perfectly even ( I only needed 1 stir) . I'm not going to configure my coils too much since I like the stock ones a lot, and wattage mode is all good too. The stashpod is just fucking fantastic for the vape OCD in me .All in all, I agree with others as this vape will be replacing a lot of others lol.

Thanks @supershredderdan! You got a winner and wish you guys the best.
