Blah, that's what has me on the fence, I agree that is quite high when a very solid, nearly indestrucable enail setup can be had for $200 or so. I just can't tell if the portability is enough of a reason to justify the negatives. I love the concept of this device, I was actually curious of downsizing to just one of these, but I'm not sure it could hold up to the wear I'd put it through. IMO the whole point of a cup style atomizer is to negate the reason to continually be buying replacement coils.

I have only used 2 atomizers since i bought the peak in march. The first one broke around may so i got about 3 months out of it and it broke because i was stupid and put too much pressure trying to make a quartz insert that was too small fit. Been using my replacement since may with no issues.

The atomizer could definitely be cheaper but i disagree that $40
is too high for maintainence. In 3 months time I probably would have gone through 3 cans of butane possibly more. At around $12 a can thats $36 in the same amount of time plus probably would have at least some haze/stains/devit in the quartz banger which are usually $150-$200.

Also for those asking if it can replace an enail, it has for me. The only difference with the standard peak glass attachment is i found i get better results by taking smaller consecutive puffs as opposed to
1 or 2 big rips. But it still produces clouds on green and gets me just as medicated if not more. I feel like you get a little extra heating the dab up from cold than you would immediatly hitting it. With the new attachment i just got ive been taking similar sized rips to my enail and blowing clouds

I dont know any enail setup that doesnt require maintainence and putting more money in it down the line. Coils need to be replaced eventually, Unless youre using a titanium nail; ceramic, quartz, sapphire are all prone to break. SiC seems to be a little tougher but still can break if not treated properly. Not to mention how many drops downs and rigs people have broken accidentally knocking over, snagging or tripping on power cords and/or the enail cord

Yours sounds like the best case scenario, and everyone's experience is different. Puffco themselves acknowledge design flaws that make the atomizer last as little as 1 month. Many people have had them last even less than 1 month. I'm on my 4th atomizer and 2nd base, and I've also gone long (over a month) stretches without using the Peak at all.

It's flawed and overpriced. They need to do better.

I dont think its a best case scenario as much as i follow their directions. I read early on never to qtip around the atomizer and never rinse it with water. I give it an iso soak about once every other week and let it air dry. so it never gets really gunked up. And i dont go light on it either. Id say id Average about 10-15 dabs/cycles a day every day since ive gotten it. Have not had any issues except the one i forcefully broke like an idiot.

I follow their directions, too.

I think I'll wait for Peak 2. The atomizer issue needs to be addressed. I have a feeling it might be awhile though. Demand seems pretty high still for the current version.

Anyone have a defective atomizer they want to send me? I would pay shipping costs if anyone wants to send one my way.

Yep.

I think the Puffco Peak is a nice little device. But there's nothing revolutionary about the technology. It's just packaged well, with an enormous markup. In the next few months/year there will be competing products coming out. I'm sure most will have a better price point.

Yes e-nail coils will need to be replaced, but likely not even on a yearly basis. And a coil that lasts 2 or 3 years of constant 16 hour a day use seems a bit easier to justify. Especially when the coils aren't any more expensive than a replacement Peak atomizer. I still want one though, I love uptemps and small flavor saver rigs so it seems up my alley.

How does your battery life feel compared to when you first got your Peak?

Hey buddy , I been enjoying my Peak mostly for ease of use. I honestly at 1st thought what a gimmick when it came out , just a overpriced pen in the shape of a rig. I still do feel it is a bit overpriced but I cant lie it works pretty well. I do not take huge dabs anymore . What I have at home currently for dabs is a bunch of different pens , the Nv Flowerpot with the Dnail Sic Halo, The cloud Evo and a 35mm quartz banger with a 35mm wrap around coil. With all this at my disposable I have still been reaching for the Peak mostly as its quick , I personally do not notice a huge flavor difference between them all. The peak has been providing a real nice flavor with every hit. I did try some cheap quartz buckets and did not like them as much as the provided ceramic buckets. I also was not crazy about the stock glass but it did work. I upgraded to something custom and love it. Battery life is sub par but I don't mind as I have a few battery packs for on the go I can just attach via usb and it will give it power. I did have one issue after 30 hits I decided to swab the atomizer with some iso and a qtip and it stopped working on me. Puffco was quick to send me a free replacement & the weird thing is that broken atomizer all of the sudden decided to work again a few weeks later. I am maybe 125 hits in so far with it and battery life seems the same. I have yet to take it on the go but I am sure I will when need be. It is just a cool little device to have. I do feel bad I spent so much but if puffco is hassle free like they were when I had a lil issue I will be a very happy camper. I would say I take 1-4 hits daily off it , skipping some days for other devices sometimes so I am not a very heavy user and I somewhat baby it. What was the damage for that one? Some of these accessories are going for more than the peak itself.

Everyone keeps talking atomizer issues, I've only ruined 1 and it was aggressive cleaning. Since then, I have had months of no issues.

However since then, my source vape coils died, acv2 coil died, DVT3 cracked, but the peak is still rocking. I do prefer a torch and banger at home though.

If atomizer issues are your concern, contact puffco when you order. They sent me my 1 "free replacement" upfront. It even arrived a day before my peak. Even if I had paid $40, it has out lasted all my other portables. Not to mention all the omicron batteries I kill within only 1 month of use.

I don't know if there's an argument against the Peak being the coolest thing you can currently dab out of. It's just incredibly satisfying to look at, hold, transport, and show off. If there's one thing Puffco absolutely nailed, it's the aesthetics. In fact, I'd say it's about the only reason to justify getting one. Every other aspect ranges from average to bad.

Well there's one other reason. My main driver is the Top Airflow Saionara. I get very tasty low temp hits out of it, with or without water. But. When I am with friends... explaining to them how to use it is always a pain. I have it set up so you just ride the button... but this is still too much for some people.

With something like the Peak... you just hit one button and go. It makes it way easier to use for vape newbies and combusters.

I guess I could just tape down the button on my mod when company is over and save a few hundred bucks, lol.

I think the simplicity of the UI broadly falls under the aesthetic appeal of this device, but I agree that it is fairly easy to use (of course, with the caveat that you have to treat it VERY CAREFULLY). I also think there are tons of other easy to use items out there that produce similar or better results for far less money.

I have a Sai and would say they are totally different , unless you are using a bucket like the Peak and I do not have one for my Sai but do have one for my Source and it does not hit anywhere near as well as the peak. They just never got the Tech down correctly, but with the Sai I find your 1st 2 or 3 hits are tasty but then you get all the gunk building up under the coil effecting flavor. With the peak and the bucket its a simple q tip wipe and its like new again with great taste. Plus I feel the Peak provides a less harsh smoother hit for me. Are you using a Bucket type coil with the Sai ? With my source I have the Sic, quartz and ti buckets and I cannot no matter what get a hit like my peak. It just never heats up properly.

I only use the Titanium bucket on the Top Airflow Sai. I agree with everything you said about the coiled Sai options. But with the Ti Bucket... you just Q-Tip it after your session so ya get a clean tasting hit every time. Nice and easy.

I agree that the Source Buckets suck. I tried them all before the Sai got buckets, and they never worked well. The Sai Ti bucket works perfectly. Starts producing vapor in about 3-4 seconds. Damn near perfect taste.

Definitely worth checking out if you want a super portable option, and you can't argue with the price. I just bought the Top Airflow kit that converted my old Sai to the bucket version.

Also... while this isn't necessary because you have the Peak... using the Sai Bubbler with the bucket and a directional carb cap produces awesome results. But it's a two handed operation since you're holding down the button.

Everyone's experience is different. I know 2 people personally with the peak. One only has had a base die on him. He got a replacement in a week. The other one's peak has had no issues.

I got mines in February and before the atomizer died it was hands down the most easiest and efficient vape I had for concentrates. I agree the price is too high, but other than that this is a very good device. I'm sure the peak 2 and other knock off competitors will make it better.

Also I was using it daily with all types of different concentrates and have taken it on the go

Nope but I am coming for work in September staying at the Wynn and 1st thing I plan to do is hit up a nearby dispensary. Whatever is closest to the Wynn hotel if you have any recommendations ? Saw this huge one on line called Planet 13 that looks insane. I am not trying to save money either as my entire work trip is paid for so I don't mind spending. Just need enough for 3 days while I am there.

NuLeaf is closest but expensive for the tourists. I go more local like Essence or The Source. I use Weedmaps to scope out all the daily deals. That Planet 13 isn’t built yet but they do have a smaller dispensary for now.

I get full melt on green as well. I get normal ceramic browning but not what I would call dark rings. Do you qtip after?
