Sorry all I have not had much time to read through the entire thread but still really enjoying my Splinter. Just wanted to ask besides the stems rbt has available if anyone knows of any other good ones ? I believe my splinter is using the 19/22 glass . I did see a few on the 420edc site but unsure of what will actually fit one of the rbt screens. If any one can recommend something nice please lmk ? Ty

I've had mine for a short while.

I like to use this stem - long bent glass

Mine is definitely 19/22 and my previous stems work fine with it. 420EDC.com has some, and of course you can have @Oregonglassblower make you custom ones like I did for the Zi and Mi. Just be sure and tell him you want the US standard joint to use on an RBT vape. My custom ones are US on one side and ISO on the other.

I can't tell for certain, but from that pic that looks like an ISO joint (26mm long) rather than a US joint (22mm long).

These are 22mm. Notice they are a little stubbier looking? More square?

First post in the thread, but I've been enjoying my Splinter for a little while now... initially with just flowers but more recently I've also been Splinter-ing concentrates through a bubbler. I re-shaped a S&B concentrate pad to fit the screen I'm using, and I'm getting very satisfying results with a high wattage (40-45w) and slow draw. It's a very powerful and versatile vape, like having a battery-powered log:bowdown:

That stem will not fit the 19/22 joints as I ordered that same 18mm adapter to try with a Jhook I have and the 18mm to 18mm adapter is to loose.

@cybrguy from what I am seeing on 420edc is the 19/22 stems will fit but the rbt screens will not. So what would I use to pack it with flowers if the rbt screens don't fit ?

That is a little harder to answer. I have a couple different sizes of RBT screen produced at different times for his different vapes, and some of them fit OK and some do not. Part of the problem is a lack of consistency in the ID of the various stems. Some work well with the rimmed screens (originally from Arizer but available on amazon or from china) or from RBT. Screens seem to be a hit and miss proposition. Some screens that seem too loose can be stretched too...

Thank you

Yeah, I would love to have one but I am a 'customer service' kind of guy and after reading through the thread, I don't want to set myself up for an anxiety attack. LOL

I'll try to pick one up used or wait for someone to pick up the ball and start making copies. Sounds like a pretty neat vape. I'm sure people are not going to just let that market drift away. Someone will probably pick it up.

Thanks and enjoy yours. :)

The Amber long stem from 420edc fits the "top hat" Splinter screen no problem. I have the GonG on order and was told these screens would fit by Mark.

On a personal note I've just got myself a Wismec Reuleaux RX GEN3 to play with @funkyjunky firmware! :science:

I can't attest to the veracity of this post on Reddit, but someone there seems to believe RBT is moving production to China.

"RBT China Explained

There's some confusion about the China plans and the future of RBT after the last email from him (and a brief, quickly deleted misinformed post on my part to r/vaporents).

I spoke to Ryan in length last night and found out what is going on; RBT is not shutting down, but instead moving mass production of Splinter to China with distribution to be handled by retailers."

I just ordered an extra one a few days ago and it already shipped.
Good for you Lazy!
But seriously WTF! Could anyone possibly still think that I am being unreasonable (what was it? Draining oxygen!) getting a little upset that I can't get a reply about something I payed for nearly 4 weeks ago, yet others get shipping notice in 2 days?

LOL, I literally was writing a reply too as I ordered a week ago. I dont mind waiting but posts like that are definitely a OMGWTF moment. You're better than me homie. No way I'm waiting a month.

Yeah that would frustrate me as well. I have dealt with Ryan three times and it was all good experiences. Sorry for the problems you are dealing with. The splinter is hands down the best vape I own right now and I have many. The flavor and extraction is just next level. I would be persistent and make sure you get one if he is actually shutting down.

I have to be patient it could take 4 to 6 weeks to get all the way here down under so if he has shipped and just forgot to tell me it could still be on the way. Also I really love my Milaana and really want one of these so I will probably give it a couple more weeks. But then I guess I will put this one down to experience and try for refund :uhoh:

That could present a host of issues, being outside the US. Patience prevails I think. I wouldn't cancel just yet.

I don't get any contact to him too.....

Ductaperape at r/rastabuddhatao created that subreddit for the company and the owner is in contact with him. He might be able to help you guys.

I thought I would include a US joint next to an ISO joint for comparison.

Pardon the dirty, dirty girls.. er.. I mean stems. They definitely need a soaking.

You only want to use a stem with a joint like the one on the left.

almost there

@cybrguy, I'd like to get this straight in my mind once & for all. The US is 19/22mm. Is the ISO 19/26? And when you order an 18 or 18.8 joint is it US or ISO? Thank you.

those numbers just gives you the diameter which is why most folks get stuck with accessories too long to fit the RBT products. Usually I inquire about the length from the vendor.
