There is also a wide old adage- "Decide to be happy now." We are all guilty of forever searching for that pot of gold, taking our many blessings for granted. Believe me I know.;)

And the FP and EQ are indeed both blessings. Maybe just focus now on enjoying both as you can and do, for their individual differences and unique vape signatures. Detach from the situation and let things (especially your own consciousness) flow freely with time, no pressure, no expectations.

I am sorry the Flowerpot hasnt brought as much incrrsed enjoyment and fun as I had hoped and strongly expected.

Indeed, I was a strong vocal influence in the process and I accept my responsibility. Clearly we are all so different, and I have no doubt that most users would be much happier and more content all round with the Flowerpot over the EQ.

But every vape has its own sig, unique way of introducing you onto the cannabis plane.

I used to own an Aromed. It was totally different to my other vaporizers now much more gentle smooth and pure experience which really crept up on you subtly in a drunk feeling sort of way.

It just came on very differently it was a different experience all round and I quite often catch myself missing and craving that even though that device had too many limitations and weak points for my liking.

So it could just be that you learnt to enjoy the cannabis high with your EQ in a way that has some comfort and nostalgia for you- call it a conditioning experience which you are beginning to understand and process in your consciousness now but perhaps not in the manner it will be done over time as your consciousness expands and you realise that you can be happy with your dozens of vaporizer acquisitions and nobody has to lose. (Except your wallet) :)

Thanks for your post!

Yeah, kinda think like you, is like "chasing the dragon"

Don't get me wrong... I know the FP has a lot of possibilities, and that I can do things with the FP that I can't do with the EQ. I'm happy with the purchase, though I expected more a dramatic improvement over the EQ just "out f the box", and everything has its learning curve.

Guess it is so versatile/powerful that I still need to learn where the sweet spot is for me.

Maybe tonight I'll play around the 500 and up, and do some of the EQ basket screens.

To be far, couple of days ago I got a sweet and nice high at 600, but I was unable to replicate the next day.Lot of variables too. Still funny to play with.

And yes, I guess the EQ can co-exist with the FP, just a matter of which toy you wanna play with tonight :science:

I hope you get there! I know how much I've loved every iteration of the FP, so I hope it clicks for you eventually.

Keep us updated! :)

Thanks @emdeemmo , I'm pretty sure it will.As I say, I can feel a glimpse of all the possibilities the FP can offer.

I was also using a water pipe with the Extreme.Still very pleasant to play with the Extreme, I still can’t find that huge inprovement with the FP.

Last night I tried 620, no carb cap, medium draw speed.Big clouds, but taste is somehow “metalic” compared to the Extreme, and I cashed 0.40g in 3 bowls, 2/3 hits per bowl.

The high was more narcotic than psychedelic, as i said, no big improvement over the Extreme Q with the Ddave mod and the water pipe , even just with the Ddave mod I could get decent clouds.

Maybe I have to try lower temps again, around 500.....

Still trying to find the sweet amspot that makes the FP way better than the Eq.

I did some reading from your other thread. I think you need to draw much slower. Leave the temps set at 600-620F. Use about 0.15 to 0.20 load size. You should get at lease 5-8 draws off that....pending on hit size.

If your water unit is fine with the flowerpot...as most are...(bigger are better in most cases)... take the first draw to get things going....draw slowly just enough to get some bubble action going. You should see vapor start in about 4-6 seconds....if sooner...your temps are on the hot side. After a good 10 second draw...you should have huge vapor at 600-620F temps. Dry flower is good, but if it is moist....you can blow through that moisture issue with the first draw usually. But dryer can be better for full taste profiles I have found.

Good luck with your new vape......you should be happy with your purchase.....such a solid vape to own!

I was about to buy the Newvape / VROD system and I had a few questions I needed answered before I did. Newvape did not answer the email or phone call I made to them. Sorry, I dont buy $700 vapes from companies that dont offer good customer support. FAIL!

Let me know if i can assist you with anything!

Just wanted to chime in as the Eq was 1 of my 1st desktops & happened to be a nice 1 to introduce me to what desktops can do. I did tweak mine a bit with some aftermarket mods to make it even better over time. I feel the Fp is a drastic difference though and with all the modding I had done to the Eq I was never able to milk glass as quickly and thick as I can with the Fp. Granted I always use my Fp at 600F and up. Imo they just don't compare . Try some temps in the 650F range and if you are not milking glass with a carb cap instantly there has to be some sort of problem somewhere. Make sure your coils are touching the top and bottom plates of the head/nut and your enail is operating properly. I feel the Fp is almost as simple as it gets and if it is not performing way above the level of your Eq there is some variable that is just not right in the equation. Wishing you luck .

Agreed, low temps, slow draw. After further thought, I'd try working without the carbcap and master your temp and draw speed (I keep forgetting I was using a modified carb cap so I have to think twice about my 'advice'). A consistent, slow draw has always helped me get the most out of lower temps, and cerebral high is usually what I get from those lower temps. Couch lock occurs for me more in the 600's.

EDIT: Haha, we are a mine field of different ways of using the FP/SH/VRod! :D Love it :)

Ordered my VRod last night - hoping it ships today so I can get it soon :). Slowly going through the thread and learning about the specifics of the FP, this is a great resource!

Does anyone have any tips for transitioning away from concentrates to flower? I've had great access to concentrates the last few years and have throughly enjoyed myself with my Liger daily, but that access has dried up for now (I'm moving to a legal state soon though, so soon!). I am cutting back in general the next few days to lower my tolerances a bit (it sucks ), but everything people says about the FP makes me think that the transition won't be too bad. I think I'll stop by my local head shop and look for an actual bong to use the FP instead of using my recycler and beaker before it arrives, but I'm excited!

@TheFatBastard I came into a nice Sativa recently and grabbed my Supper Weapon II Grinder by Interplanetary Development and did a quick grind for camping trip never taking the time to grab my NV Fine Grinder.. well FP hits since my return have-not quite been cutting it. You know where this is going right? Just ran some of that Sativa through my NV Fine grinder and ripped a Pan Head bowl flying high at 747 degrees Fahrenheit.. I'm in the clouds! Woot!

Variables (Flower Only):
Glass Piece, drop down, ash catcher, Heat Setting, Draw Speed/Strength, Material, Material Moisture Content Amount of Material, Grind, Capped or Uncapped, bowl stem diameter and Bowl/VRod/ShowerHead fit (unheated air introduced)

What am I missing? Respect! -YaMon :rofl::lmao:

I knew you'd find them eventually lasvideo.
it may take them a couple days to get back to you when they're really busy but they will. They've offered me really great customer support, can't say enough good things about their product and service!

Yup, just placed my order for the VROD bundle. It should nicely compliment my Cloud EVO, Arizer Argo and Lotus. ;)

Almost there...
All this talk of the VROD and ShowerHead made me feel nostalgic today!!
Broke out the OG 16mm FP with quartz bowl!!!:rockon:
Also had to locate the OG carb cap!

Amazing flavor and clouds, just like it's bigger brothers!
Maybe slightly purer taste due to less hot Ti but could just be the newness of using it again.

Don't think I will ever own a VROD but so far @NewVape710 has a 2 out of 2 record with me!
Both the OG and the SH are both outstanding medicating devices!
