yup...any small vape like this one running 400F + is going to get hot.....where else is the heat going to go?

That said, I am a lower temp user as I start at 376 for a few...then finish it at 384F.

At constant use of the argo at 400F+.......is your battery shrink wrap deforming?

Argo runs great at high temp. There are parts that get hot and you could not keep your skin on them for any length of time. Just change your grip on unit. No harm is done to the unit. The majority of the unit doesn't get that hot, just spots.

I run the unit at lower temps too, just prefer this vape at high temp (high temp is not ridiculously high temp, I kinda question 428F's accuracy on this vape but who knows and I could be wrong). On other vapes, I prefer low temp. The sweet spot for this vape that balances what I want produced, however, is high.

Totally agree. This vape doesn’t get too hot. The rubber area gets warmer than the metal sides. I just hold it higher up on the metal. The performance is great too at any temp, 380 and over. Clouds are good, flavour is awesome and efficiency is above average. It’s not as tasty or efficient as my Sticky Brick, but it’s better than my Firefly was.

How is your battery looking? I was wondering if the battery shrink wrap is warping because of running at hot temps. I have seen this happen with an argo batter in an argo that was run on hotter temp settings only after 10-12 uses.

Battery still looks new... and help me catch a few king salmon yesterday:)

Good deal on your battery.....maybe the person whom had the warped battery shrink wrap had run the argo in a real hot environment when they used it.....and maybe had a session run to max time....or used concentrates or something.

Funny how you mention that your argo helped catch salmon......yesterday my argo helped me catch a nice walleye!

That’s crazy about the battery. I’ve re-wrapped more 18650s than I care to count (used to work part time at a vape shop) and have never seen warped wrapping from a hot device unless the device caught fire hahahah. Which has happened. lol. Not an Arizer, it was an e-cig mod.

I wonder how hot that ArGo got? Like you said, 15 minute sessions at 428° or something

I've kept my Argo at 428F for well past 15 minutes ... lol. I've kept at 428F until the battery died... normal house or summer temps up to about 92F this week in my neck of the woods

I just got one of these today, ordered just 2 days ago (yay fast shipping) as I had been wanting to go back to a vaporizer after my generic no name tabletop Chinese unit bit the dust a couple years ago.

I figured this would make my $100 ounce Strawberry Fields last until my plant is ready to bud.

Anyway, my initial hit at 312 did not have a notable affect. That was about 3 hours ago. Since then, I have tried upping the temp 5 degrees at a time finally stopping at 350.

So I am wondering, am I doing something wrong? I can sometimes taste the strawberry but it is hit or miss and I have no way of knowing if that is right or if that is just the unburned aroma coming through the tube.

Also, only a couple times was there a visible white puff on exhale. Is the smokelike puff supposed to always happen or was that just coincidence?

Any suggestions or are vaporizers not the big save your weed and lungs thing proponents make them out to be?

Help me Obi-Bong Kenobi. You're my only hope.

Up your temps a bit and try again. Try 385 or higher. :2c:

:peace:
Just tried at 400. See how I am in a couple minutes.

It will be awesome if it turns out 420 does the trick.

I may have had it packed too full. Emptied the tube, ground the now browned weed a bit more, then put in just a pinch.

Saw a little hint of cloud and got a light buzz. So I think I'm getting there. Could all my previous attempts have depleted the weed a bit too much? And if so, would higher temps pull a bit more goodness from a nearly depleted load?

Oh well. Fun experimenting anyway

@Ravenplume Grind up some herb and gently inhale it into the stem or pour it in there. No need to go crazy on the grind. You don't have to pack it tight at all, you want airflow.

Fill them stem 3/4 to full and your good to go. No need to pack it tight, just tamp it gently so that it stays in place.

Lower your ArGo onto an inverted stem so you aren't dumping it in there while dropping it in.

Clean out spent material shortly after use for easiest clean-up.

428F... it's not that hot and best clouds

It might be the best clouds, but have you considered what could be in those clouds making them so big compared to lower temps? I just posted this on in another forum but thought it would be good to give it some light here too: PAHs

I have no complaints with my temps at 385˚F on the ArGo. I start at 365˚ then bump it up. I vape for harm reduction and I'm not sure how many harms are being reduced at high temps. This is just me passing along this little public service announcement. Seems like people are all about the clouds and there is more to the tech and pharmacology than just clouds.

Tomorrow, I will start a 2-day trip abroad. Choosing the right portable is always a science of its own if you own several devices. I have decided to take the ArGo and one of my Vapcaps with me. Seems like a natural decision, I am sure that I am completely safe from harm for the next 48 hours when it comes to vapor supply.

My Mighty on 360 gives MUCH larger clouds than my ArGo did on 428.

Yup....because the Mighty has more power with the heater and also because of the load size and the way the heat can hit a bigger area of the load and go through it compared to the Argo.

Pretty much 2 very different types of vapes for sure. I have always wanted to try/have a Mighty...but there return issues always held me back. That and the lack of removable batteries....I just can not bring myself to own a non-removable battery vape.

I use my argo almost like you....always start at 376F and if I need to go higher because of strain type or moisture level....I may go up to 384F and it is more than enough to get great vapor quality regardless of the density or volume of vapor. I guess these smaller/less powerful vapes can show you the differences in your flowers fairly easy. But I have always found with these types of vapes that the moisture levels are important to control with your flower. The dryer the better......

Hey ....also cannabis.pro.....I saw you mention on another forum about some Argo bubblers coming out in August...any info you let loose here? Just wondering if they are designed to use with the Argo's....or just bubblers that are already in the market?

We have 2 Different Bubblers designed for the ArGo inbound, one is more compact while the other is more like the WPA with a bubbler on top instead of a 3 in 1 Male GonG attachment.

Yep.

Wrong. Clouds are for people with a high tolerance who actually enjoy getting thoroughly high. The ArGo was one of the weakest vapes I have ever personally tried. A kid's vape you could say ;)

Maybe we should simply agree on the fact that Arizer products are not made for you. Which is completely okay. I for one detest everything coming from Storz & Bickler. People are people.

I also do not chase clouds, I chase flavour and potency. Exhaled clouds are "lost material" to me, even though I also like them from time to time. For the sake of old smoker times. And I consume around 2g a day, so my tolerance is not the lowest, too. But as said, people differ. One Love.

I can see from Cheesequake's signature....that he is used to harder hitting vapes. I am assuming he was hoping that the argo would not be too far off from what he gets with his Solo's. I have not used the solo yet, but use my air daily with my Elev8r. I know the difference between the vapor I get with the Air/Air2 and the Argo. But I have no idea of any difference between a Solo/Solo2 and the Air's. The argo is my 3rd used vape ahead of my flowerpot and vapcaps.

So I can understand the disappointment with the argo Cheesequake has. I can offer that the vapcap with an induction heater would work well if it is a usable/doable way to vape for him/her. It offers a higher extraction and quick wither with torch or IH. I use them for when I need quick few pulls or my pain issues. I like how the process of getting it out....prepping everything...then using it....and putting it away.....is so much faster and less clutter to deal with..especially if you have a IH.

I love the argo for several reasons, and it has it's place in my use patterns. If you only have or can use 1 or 2 different vapes, this vape might be a harder decision to purchase for some. Because I have so many diff vapes, it was not a hard decision to get it for me.
