LED;
Green= stand/by ready
Red=Heating
Orange=Cooling when cycling 5 times then auto shut off until you remove item, it will then turn green again, just incase you forget to take it out, the Chinese were thinking of our safety.
I actually cut a piece of cork about 4mm in thickness and put in the bucket so the tip gets heated instead of the stem(also to stop the melting issue I was having with the cup on the end of my cap))
@DDave now has a glass insert that looks like you can adjust the depth a bit too for full hands free (and it is as cheap as chips).
Mine was also clean as a whistle, customs probably used yours for a while:tup:

It will be interesting to see how the new concentrate VapCap will go in the IH when it is released, I am getting really even, consistent roasts so I would say it will be great. Now I remember why I got a hair straightener in the mail from China off ebay, I have about as much hair as Homer Simpson:disgust: I might have to do some research, same thing happened when my bubble hash bags showed up, still have to try with my new baby washing machine that just `appeared' on my door, still more research. :sherlock:

Mine seems to shut down (orange) just as the cap clicks. I think it's impossible to combust with this on a single cycle but I usually push it 2 or 3 seconds beyond the click.......how can I do this? Take it out and shove it back in again just for a couple of seconds?
Edit:my post got absorbed by the quoted text...

So is this a definite thing? Had no idea a concentrate vapcap was in the works!
Ive already used my bubble bags
no washing machine though
Just a drill and a big spoon in it....
they work well
can use leftovers for edibles or rso too

highly recommend giving the hair straightener a go tonight
I used the rosin in my vapcap...was fine sandwiched between some flower

@Hackerman
Already broken the straightener but it still works....might try pulling it apart and using a clamp or something with insides

Check out the slug .33 also if you haven’t already. Rosin on demand, and indestructible.

That will work, I let the IH run the 5 cycles until it hits the orange stand by led for the first cold vapcap cycle, puff until cool click, heat again until first click of cap, puff till cool again, heat until second cap click, puff till cool, reheat until 1 second after click(the cap will be hot enough to do this before IH goes to cool mode now) and if you are feeling reheat again to 2 second past the click and puff that roasty fucker. Just remember I have a 4mm thick piece of wine bottle cork in my IH top hat cup that changes where the most heat is on the VapCap.:)
I think it's impossible to combust with this on
It is still easy to combust, just forget to wait for the cool down click, I actually got to complete ash, never done that with a lighter.:lol:

Yup, I managed to combust too - straight to ashes, but it wasn't anything like as disgusting as when I've combusted using lighters. In fact, I guess I smoked that last toke! Didn't feel the need to disassemble and clean. Borderline.
Also, I notice the cap stays hotter for longer after the cool-down click.
I've put 4mm of Cork at the back :tup: but the diameter is way too small and keeps toppling over. Anyone use this vertically? Just drop the vapcap in?

It has arrived. Can confirm it works. A bit bigger and louder than what I had in mind. Pimped on both sides :cool:

The chinese wrote $13 on the lebel so no tax. Really liking the value of my purchase cant wait to start experimenting
Kinda silly question but should I keep that plastic piece that goes in the hole...is it for like protection or something? Can I use it so I can sit my vapcap on it while heating?

I used a champagne cork, you are putting it in the removable bucket(top hat) with the 25mm diameter aren`t you? I had to trim mine down to fit.:hmm:

@7oli5 The top hat is there to protect the unit, I noticed swirly melt marks on mine from the hot vapcap so I put the cork in as stated above, this gets scorched (slightly) now instead and this also moves the point of heating a little so the vapcap stem does not get as hot as quick and also gives me a little more control over temps.

Louder? It makes sound?

Build a homemade to @Pipes spec and it's silent.

It has a cooling fan that is noisy but it only operates when you are cooking the cap, the fan stops when in stand by mode. Not everyone has the ability to build a homemade version and then there are people like me who just can`t be fucked doing it when someone else makes it so cheap and easy to use like this SJK unit.
I would still like a Port Side Mini for travelling though.:tup:

I don't think I've got a "top hat". It may have come with one :shrug: but if it did I probably chucked it away, like protective packaging that comes with (say) a new printer etc. Hot Dang! Is it important? The unit is heating just fine - I'm getting nicely high. Guess I'll have a poke through the garbage just in case. Thanks.

Mine came from China, did you get yours from Nigeria? You can see the top hat in this picture, it is a sacrificial cup that is replaceable as it would normally have hot sharp knives poked in and out of it all day when used by dental type people.

@Ricardo I have just checked and you can make the shim from the champagne corks fat end that will need to be trimmed down to interference fit for the IH without the plastic top hat.(I would make it 6mm thick to make up for the missing top hat):tup:

Nigeria ? ? ? I've had offers of multi million dollar bank transfers from Nigerian government ministers but never pseudo dental equipment! No, mine came from China although it says SLK TECHNIC USA on the front. Your picture is jogging a vague stoner memory...... but I have a feeling that mine was a returned unit, repackaged. Remember I mentioned it was kinda grubby at unboxing? Maybe the "top hat" wasn't included, but it is ringing some bells :doh:. Anyway it's not essential but I might want a wider diameter piece of Cork, perhaps slightly thicker too.... 5mm, 6mm....to compensate for the base of the "top hat".. .
EDIT: Found the little bugger :nod:

Day two. I found and inserted the top hat, carved a better-fitting piece of cork and vaped sats in the afternoon and lavender +kief through water tonight . This is bliss - I feel like a Prince. Can't believe how smoothly this is going, and I was a diehard flame-only warrior until very recently :rockon:
Now I just have to retrain ma brain not to count One Mississipi etc. after the cap clicks and go to maximum 2 IH clicks :razz:
[TOP] Hats off to whoever discovered this first - I know that @Hackerman and @LesPlenty were onto it early but I'd love to know the Genesis Story :peace:

I was told that it was tried here long before I got here. When I joined here and bought my first VapCap, I saw the unit on eBay and asked about it here and was told it was tried and did not work. I don't recall which member told me that. It's somewhere in that 2000 page VapCap thread if you really want to know.

Then, I saw one for sale on eBay WITH a Vapcap and some other Vapcap accessories. I did not buy it but a member here ended up buying it and I asked him if his Induction heater that he bought on eBay worked and he said yes. I promptly bought mine and started posting in this thread on how well it worked. The rest is in this thread.

That's about the short of it, I believe.

So, the real catalyst credit goes to some mysterious seller on eBay. LOL

It's been a game changer for me. My Vapcap was in the drawer when I discovered these i heaters work. Now, it's my daily goto. I hardly even light my E-Nano any more and that is really saying something. LOL

Yeah, I think you're right. It was Baked who bought the package off eBay. And, I think it was the guitar noodler who originally said it didn't work and set everyone down the wrong path long ago. I don't recall who the original eBay seller was. Or, if he's a member here.

I am working on a portable version. Actually 2 versions. A 12v car model that plug right into the cigarette lighter. And, a 510 compatible model.

Yep, I was the buyer of the Ebay lot. Kind of a fingers-crossed thing at the time. The seller reassured it worked well w/ the VC. It sure did, still does like a champ! I do love the whole set-up but find it doesn't pack the punch I need. Plus I have huge meathooks for hands and it is pretty tiny in my hands. I used to fight and my hands are a bit broken up and hard to hold small stuff.

:sherlock: OK, so I've narrowed it down to @Baked-not-fried :clap:.........but it looks like he's moving on to a Fierce (?). Anyway, the Genie is out of the lamp now :)

OOH, OOH, OOH Mr. Kotter, OVER HERE! :brow: Yeah, I was the lucky winner that time. But, I'm passing the torch (and the cap, and the heater!). I do love the little bugger but as I mentioned above, huge hands and really small things don't work for me. I've found the F2 is about as small as I like. And even that disappears in my hand. Plus there is the fact I like to read the threads about vapes I own and enjoy but I'm afraid I'd kick the bucket before I could even break the surface of that VC thread!:o

Salutations Ricardo,

This is bliss - I feel like a Prince.

Keep it coming!! Nice comforting reading and that's not the end i believe!... :cool:

A hint to this specific question was made available previously in the present dedicated thread:

...by LazyLathe in 2014...

It was LazyLathe who started testing the NoFlame, after *I* insisted many times to discuss underlying principles which i keep promoting today... A few preliminary numbers were published at the time but his unit needed to be returned to the employer's site, which is why that topic remainded inconclusive until HackerMan gave it a new shot.

Anyway feel free to ask LazyLathe for details directly as i think i've seen his avatar was still active. :ninja:

Good day, have fun!! :peace:
