the calibration is such that the temperature displayed is the one of the LOAD
Thanks for chiming in, this was exactly what I thought you where doing! :)
As to the temperatures, it doesn’t matter what a vaporizer is calibrated to, each design is different at the load, so if you’re used to 350 on one, that may be equivalent to 380 on another.
Well, IMO a vaporizer SHOULD output as close to the advertised temperature as possible. Otherwise what's the point?

@Wicked0ne please increase your temperature OR increase your resistance until you get the results you are looking for.
go to 'menu>coils>manage' and increase the number at line TUBO (TCR previously) at around 0.002 at a time. make sure the lock symbol is there before you leave again.
I will try this next, though... won't changing the resistance mess with the calibration?

I kinda feel like I'm in the minority where everyone here just wants to chuck clouds out of their waterpipes and tubo cranked up to 99999. A big reason why I prefer electric over butane vaporizers is for the precise control of temperatures. Different strains produce different flavors/effects at different temperatures. It's not all about the destination, but the journey there.

Hey man.
Sorry you're having issues.

I rarely have my Tubo above 400°f.
In fact, if I'm not using water, my Tubo stays at 360-370 at stock settings.
My experience has been that the temp reading is pretty accurate as to the experience that I have.
I do pretty easily get vapor at 350 after things are all warmed up.

The Tubo is really great at those low temps. Hope you get to enjoy it soon.

I wouldn't be surprised if a step or two one way or the other gets you sorted.

Thanks for chiming in! Glad I'm not alone in liking low temps.

This was a HUGE reason for me going with the Tubo over something else. On paper at least... this thing should be a flavor monster. So it's gotta be something unique to me/my unit, I just have NFI what lol.

I bumped it up .002(so now it's 0.202). I put in a 18650 fresh from the charger and threw on cruise control @ 340F and got nothing. Just warm cannabis scented air. Then 350, 360, 370, 380, 390, then finally 400F. Only @ 390F do I start to see tiny bits of vapor and at 400F I start getting some vapor.

What kinda power readings do you guys all have when inhaling at a normal pace? Mine seemed to stay around 25-35.w.

Have you tried inhaling at something other than your "normal pace"?

I find I get better clouds when I pull faster. I regularly see 40+W on mine.

Yeah but not all weed is equal just cos it's the same strain. It's pretty obvious when you try "mid-grade" ganja (even if it looks "frosty af dawg") because it simply will not produce the vapor that quality-grown ganja will put out.

Try warmup2cruise and rip it during warmup as hard as you can.
I really don't think it's the seal of your stem lmao. None of mine lock and I have to babysit them all during use to make sure shit doesn't break.

If you're packing your shit super tight and inhaling at a "normal pace" I can kinda see why air isn't getting thru the load.

That pic you posted it looked like your ganja was a solid mass in the bottom of that stem, and it was definitely getting toasted some, unless you edited the color on that photo.

Don't be afraid to pull hard just because other vapes demand that you draw really slow. I always get BETTER results the faster I draw when using my tubo.

If you're using a domed screen to cap your load that can absorb some heat as well... I bump my temps a little using the mighty capsules and etc.

Yea, I've tried all kinds of techniques: low and slow, hard and fast, "sipping", small hard rip with a sec or 2 or between multiple small hits.

For my convection vapes I pack them lightly to allow the hot air to pass over more material.

No editing, it was definitely getting heat in that pic...but I had been ripping the bowl super hard and not getting anything. I ended up finishing that load in my M.

I am using the domed screen to keep material in and hopefully help diffuse the hot air more evenly. I have not tried the device without the dome screen in place so I can try that next.

I have not messed around much with the modes so far. My go to is cruise control. I need to look into the other modes deeper.

I have not a tubo yet... but it is in the workings... but I have the feeling you are too much focusing on the numbers... try higher temps... and as far as my experience tells me the higher the temps the bigger the clouds... but could be also that your tubo does not work as it should... as said before I am waiting for my tubo... so maybe what I am saying is nonsense...

never wanted to beat that one ;)
In my experience the tubo does not produce much visible vapor, especially on lower temps.
Compared the the M it's nothing.
But that doesn't mean it doesn't work (or taste)!
I regularly use it without seeing vapor but baking fine ;)
Also depends on strain of course and agree with temperatures being a bit misleading and vape specific.
Just my :2c:

I’ve always enjoyed my Tubo, though I’ll admit to occasionally (VERY occasionally) struggling to get consistent results.

Then I bought a long wood stem and a bunch of Mighty capsules. I haven’t failed to get good vapor yet, and usually, if not always, on the first draw.

I get some of my thickest clouds through my TUBOx. I crank it up to 480 though. Seems like on rare occasions the wattage fluctuates a lot during a draw and I'm not getting hits as quickly as I am used to; I will pop the batteries in and out and then it's back to champ mode. I think it's my evic dual which I sourced myself. I bet some of those mods are inconsistent given the features at the price point.

Edit: I should note it could also be the connection, but I don't know why popping the batteries would clear it if that's the case.

@Djunta Yours may be running a tad hot, but you have pushed it find it's boundaries and can adjust it from there, or work with it as is.
But if you don't find out the boundaries and just leave it on a certain number expecting certain results, that can be a bit frustrating.
Been experimenting with the Tubo for a few months now and I've changed the resistance multiple times and I found the default is perfect and doesn't run too hot at all, when I put it down 0.001 it runs too cold and its the opposite when I raise it. I never had this 'problem' until I learned how to draw from the Tubo and take proper hits, so I guess I just finally learned how to draw so that the heater can keep up with the hit.

My TUBOx has a similar issue/ I will vape a couple of puffs and then I get a message and the resistance does not register.

Taking the batteries out and putting them back in makes it work. Just got my hands on a different atomizer. Now I can see if the error persists it is the mod (cuboid 200) or only with the TUBOx.

I get "device too hot " message in every session near the end of the bowl(I like to leave dark brown abv) .Great vapor production but that issue is a real bummer.

I think lowering the wattage from 75 will help this a lot. Also good batteries are a large contributor.
Edit: a word

I got the issue with samsung 30q I got sent with the unit and my lg hg2 .I am really clueless with battery mods,I didn't know that I could change the wattage.I thought that I could mess with the high temp setting(done it,help a bit) and resistance(haven't tried yet).

Summer is probably not helping mate...
I didn't use it during very hot conditions (maybe 25 C ?)

I mostly get this in cruise and almost never in on demand. Of course letting the chip heat up in cruise and then using on demand makes no difference.

Another thing was turning on eco mode in cruise and dropping my wattage to 60.

Of course the battery can contribute with it's heat but I even had too hot when using the PA so the main factor should be the chip.

Good luck and happy vaping :peace:

Yes,I kept getting the "too hot" message even after a few seconds of replacing with a fresh one,so no battery issue I guess.

Do you remember on which menu I can adjust wattage?I couldn't find it myself... :freak:

Thanks a lot!

Go into interface and set "edit" to one of the clicks (I suggest 4). After clicking into edit you can cycle through the various on screen numbers. You should be able to select wattage and lower with the temperature buttons. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks a lot potenthits,I adjusted the wattage.I didn't even think about doing so because the wattage value always changed during session.I'll try and check if this solved the issue!

Do you guys use your tubo for hash? I just got some and want to try vaping it for the first time. I don't really know how to do it but I guess it requires higher temperatures than my usual herbs? How do I know when it's finished / how does it look like when it's finished?

Also very sadly I have to report that my wooden stem still hasn't arrive after more than one month now :(. I have a feeling that the package got lost somewhere

Yes that's it, I would suggest to set it to 3.
Even on 195 seems odd to me, do you rip like really hard and long repeatedly?
Do your coils glow more than funky described?
Maybe it's running really hot.

Yes,I was ripping it pretty hard ...Haven't seen the coil glowing, how long should I press the button for that to happen if there's a problem? I'll read again FJ's posts.I'll check the cruise mode with eco setting and see how this goes.I guess there should be a setting (out of the box)that every tubo should be working with as a session vape or on demand with no issues, I didn't know they would vary that much.

Edit-Tried the eco mode, things improved a bit but again near the end of the bowl at 215 C...At least this time I had it more done. But a back to back is out of the question,is this normal? This sucks cause this thing really rips...

I'd have to say this is normal behavior for single cell evic dual configuration on my TUBOx.
I would suggest taking a bit more time between rips, and using the warm-up to cruise mode to get started. It's all about how much heat is generated to get through your bowl.
