Discontinued Triton Oil Vaporization System

So is this the final design of the Ti bucket for the Triton:

V0e1Xwg.jpg

If the pic don't come through, it's from another posters imgur from earlier in the thread: https://i.imgur.com/V0e1Xwg.jpg

Are those holes for airflow? And what happens to the stuff that melts through those holes, does it go somewhere that's still easy to clean up? They look high enough to where I usually don't load up to, so my melt/puddle probably won't go that high but it may splash into those holes.

Thanks

I feel bad I don't have a reddit account, it's weird to see someone get shit for getting their product tested.

yeah, it is pretty discouraging to read. These guys are bashing G when it should be the other vendors that they let slide on safety and quality for so long. I came to FC and Reddit around the same time (2-3 years ago i think?) and at that time your products had to be made out of safe materials to even be considered. now people have been using the HVT Sai and other attys and have not brought up materials safety at all in well over a year. in that time plenty of people bought up HVT units and coils and now sing the praises far and loud. whats worse is that its enough to drown out any decent discussion about safety or function. so all people hear is "You should get a Sai" from someone relatively new, who has never even thought about vape-safe materials, let alone informed on it. then when G brings up whats safe and what isnt, people get offended and "Kill the messenger."

@THC SCIENTIFIC can you please explain about the "rebuild" aspect of the Triton?

I see replacement coils for sale.

Do you sell parts for rebuilding. Is that what you mean? Or you do you just mean replacing the coils?

Also I was a bit confused to open the box and see, if I understood the written materials correctly, a warranty for defective manufacture/materials good for just 24 hours from receipt. (If it's on the website I'm sorry I didn't notice).

Had planned to put through the paces my first coil this weekend, but apparently I'm already too late, had to already test then all?

Don't think I've ever seen a policy quite like that. I'm hoping I misunderstood it

The 1701’s are rebuildable, that is the rebuild part of the Triton.

Manufacturers defect means if you open the box and it’s defective in any shape of form you have 24 hours to report it to us. It won’t matter if we respond it’s time coded so you are safe.

Also when you receive it we suggest you test the coils to make sure all are working. This falls into the 24 hour period.

Some places will offer you 1 year warranty against manufacturers defect but a stainless steel base if left alone for a year won’t change.

Now if there is an issue with a part that is poorly designed that would be replaced for free. Even after the 24 hours. So you are safe.

Well I missed this about the warranty and I don't feel it was brought to my attention in a reasonable way.

24 hours from receipt ("no exceptions") is a highly unusual manufacturer's warranty against defects, at least in my limited experience.

I work for a living, pretty long hours, and there is no way that I could test the coils in the middle of the week, nor do I see any way that I could control the delivery date so it arrived on a weekend.

I don't like that I opened the box 48 hours after a package was delivered to me only to learn that my warranty had already expired. Is that the kind of customer experience that you're shooting for?

I'm not trying to be in your face or anything but that was a real surprise for me.

maybe you're used to dealing with people who are going to run a hundred grams through each of the coils in the first month, burn out all the coils through misuse, and start screaming "defect!"

That's not me, and it's not the kind of customers that I would be referring to upTech if I end up recommending the product widely to lots of potential buyers.

I would think you'd be a bit more open to working out Kinks with early adopters like myself.

again I'm sorry if I've misunderstood what's happening here and I mean no offense. I'd like to see the Triton be a very successful product, to have a great experience myself and send a lot of buyers your way.

I don't know you. I suppose I'm taking the risk that you're like The Soup Nazi guy on Seinfeld and I'm really stepping in it here. I hope that's not the case.

thank you for the clarification that it's only the 1701 that are rebuildable. Where on the website are these rebuildable components available?

I understand the new site is in the process of being launched and the warranties over will be updated with it.

We are always open to working out kinks but we can’t replace items that are 6 months old where people claim the scratches as manufacturers defect.

Many have tried. That’s why we have that.

I don't really see how you updating your website now helps me. I first encountered your warranty inside the box that I opened after the warranty had already expired because it took me ... 2 days.

What I'd like is a reasonable period to test the coils, and to be able to tell the people who I would like to refer to your business that they will also have a reasonable period in which to test the coils.

How long would you think we should warranty the coils for?

well if you said a week I would at least have a chance to perform your testing protocol. I literally had no chance whatsoever to perform it opening the box after the 24 hour period had already expired.

Again I mean no disrespect but I can't refer anyone to your products if it has no warranty against defects that has any real possibility of use in the real world. For me 24 hours was not a real warranty. One week I could work with. at least performing the test you describe on the card inside the Box.

A manufacturer defect is basically a bent part, not fitting correctly, not firing up, or damaged right out of the box. Almost everyone opens the box within 24 hours of reciept to see if everything is fine. Not sure Why you would need a week to see if things are working when all it takes is 5 min tops to change all the coils to see if it read a resistance on a mod. Another 5 minutes to see if things are straight and not dented.

I’m just not seeing that it takes a week to see if things are working.

Okay I guess I have your answer. I'll pass it along.

No I'm not seeking to return.

I guess I'm not "almost everyone" of your customers.

I work. I'm a busy person. I receive about 40 packages a week.

I got home late and caught about 4 hours of sleep the night of delivery before returning to work.

Nope, your box was not opened in the first 24 hours. I had no idea that there was any reason it should be.

I've said my piece.

Unfortunately the good customer suffers from the ones that try to take advantage of the system in place. The Unit itself is warrantied for 1 year against manufacturing defects, the coils however are 24 hours. People can do a lot of damage in 1 week and keep asking for replacements for free. If the coil is unused and we see that and can prove it then we do work with the client all the time. Even if it’s a week or two after reciept.

Many people here can vouch for that but that’s a case by case basis.

Thank you so much.

I read all the way to the end, and see that you are willing to work with customers after the time frame if the coil is unused.

That's all that I was looking for and I really appreciate you taking the time.

Hey guys, just got my triton today, paired with a RX200 wismec mod.

I’ve been using temp ni on the quarts 1701 and gotta say. I’m impressed.

I’ve only got dry herb vapes to compare to, and I’ve never dabbed or such before, so first concentrate experience outside of oil cartridges.

But wow. Triton is great. Superb. Best experience ever. Better than my mighty and arizer. Better than vapcaps.

Very happy.

I ordered from puffitup, the triton did have two defective coils. Probably due to shipping. Cracked a quartz heater and also the sic qoil. (What is sic? And the ses something.) I did have 2 extra quartz I ordered though so that’s 1 of 3 that was bad.
Puffitup was quick to send me replacements. Love them.

A complaint I have. The felt in the box, it sucks. Got little particles in everything. Swished it all in instant hot water. And it cleaned easy enough but was a nuicance.

I haven’t tried the other qoils because they look messier lol. Higher maintenance to clean.

As far as the quartz 1701, I can’t taste any metal or contamiinates. Clean vapor path. Cool whispy full vapor. Full of flavor. Perfect draw. Like, perfect, easy to breath, yet a satisfying suction. Perfect balance.

I think a topflow airflow thing is pointless for this. Don’t change what is already perfect.

Low battery impact. My mod has been going hours no impact. And the vape is EFFICIENT. Almost nothing wasted. So clean.

Temp ni. 24watt 410 temperature

I performed the testing protocol this morning.

It took about 10 minutes.

The test described in the manual is a pulsing heat at low wattage up to perceptible temperature.

So spent about 2 minutes per heater examining and testing.

100% are producing heat.

I did not see any obvious defects or even cosmetic damage.

The Ti 1701 was not pressed into the foam in the box but was sticking straight up? It's fine.

I did receive my wicks, in a bag stapled to my receipt, as forewarned.

So far so good, no issues.
