Still tryna work out how to multiple quote and comment ppl...sorry...lol

@felon167inc , nice track !! Not to knock Bsix , but you guys were better on that that track . His flows flows just didn’t seem as fluid as what you guys said . No offense to a six though , he still seems to keep it hip hop .
I’m glad I helped in you finding this thread . Sometimes I feel like it gets neglected . There is a lot of good hip hop in here !!
I try not to knock what other people listen too , but I’m with you in not feeling most of the new artists these day . It’s like they forgot all the elements that made hip hop great . Thank god there are still underground / independent artists the remember the importance of a break , DJs , and actually having something to say . Just my opinion and not meant to offend anybody that really feels the way music is moving these days..

@ViCKi LEEKX , these are my people too !!!
I’m glad to see new people helping us build here !!!

@3:17 that how I feel about hip hop !! Funny enough , the same line was sampled on the Quasimoto song I posted a few posts back ...

That’s a great first hip hop album @phattpiggie !! My first hip hop album I bought was a bootleg cassette copy of Beastie Boys Licensed To I’ll . I already had a few tapes I got from my uncle , but that Beastie Boys was the first album I spent my own money on . I bought it in one of the back booths at a farmers market .
Bumpin this right now ..

I really need to set an hour or three aside to go back thru this thread.

I keep thinking 'I must respond to that', next thing you know that thought's gone until next time I drop in here and the cycle starts over. I've done well tonight:lol:

Like this

Why hasn't the original of this not been sampled more

It's great to know I can introduce people a hell of a lot more knowledgable than myself to new stuff, you are welcome @felon167inc
You have no idea how much is all new to me.

@needalift drop me an email, we can exchange numbers and get our shit together for a fat chewin.

I just discovered this thread, thanks all for contributing. My music knowledge is admittedly pretty spotty post-2008/9-ish, so it's cool to discover some of the newer stuff. Still going through the posts, but I thought I'd drop some stuff I like. Apologies if these have been posted:

The Foreign Exchange - Nic's Groove (ft. Rapper Big Pooh)

Jean Grae - What Would I Do

I noticed someone posted The Blend by Herbalizer earlier in the thread, for those that don't know, Jean Grae (formerly What What) is the same artist featured on that track. Her first album Attack of the Attacking Things is a classic.

Frank-n-Dank - Marijuana

Can't not post Dilla. Plus this track is appropriate for the forum and the skit at the end is pretty awesome.

Gangstarr - Above The Clouds (ft. Inspectah Deck)

This is my 3-year old's favourite song. No joke. Whenever it comes on he drops what he's doing and starts bouncing.

Aesop Rock - Zero Dark Thirty (Blockhead Remix)
