Why I love Sativas so much.

I love Sativas. I've had landraces Malawi and Swazi, Durban Poison, Thai, Red Congolese, Panama Red, Acapulco Gold from local dispensaries. But I love Jack Herer, hybrid. Ground up 0.15gm and shared it with my brother and sister tonight after dinner. The best euphoric, cerebrally stimulating cannabis strain to watch the Warriors go up 2-0. Then they left and I pulled out some Chocolate Hashberry to top off the evening.

I love Sativas. I figure you have never truly smoked Marijuana, until you have smoked a Sativa, even if it's just a Mid or Reggie Sativa. I am vaping on some Superman OG a nice Indica. It's awesome, but its still not as fun as a Sativa. On that note I am about to get into some Tangie:nod:

I am nearing the end of my jacks cleaner 2. Seems to have little plateau. 80/20 sativa. Very relaxing the longer in the day it gets. Still uplifting though! Love the lemon flavor, this is one of my fav's.

I agree. Sativas rid me of fatigue and lethargy, give me that after work "boost" to do something other than lounge and surf the web after work. On weekends they help me to feel excited about my day.

Indices are nice if it's night time, have body pains, or had a slow day planned for rest/recovery.

Can anyone tell what the current best Sativa is out there. I seem to be getting a little bit of racing thoughts from every Sativa, except for Sour Diesel. Are they getting stronger or something? I truly think I would quit smoking if I could only smoke Indica. The high just isn't good with music. Is there a Sativa out there that is a little chill? Thanks. Am I going to have to go back to smoking Reggie bud?

Jack Herer, Chernobyl, XJ-13, Strawberry Satori, maybe Durban Cookies. Or try adding CBD

I think the "sativas always give more anxiety than indicas" thing is bullshit. It may be true for the more racy ones compared to more chill indicas. But sativas can be good for anxiety depending on the chemotype. Could they help much more with social anxiety?

Recommendations regarding NY diesel? I may be picking some up. I see it listed as a sativa at the dispensary.

Need some daytime shit. I take two hits off indica and I’m lazy as shit ready for bed. Cannot function.

I'd pass, that is a strain I'd use in the evenings as it's a 60/40. Do you have any higher sativas available? I'd shoot more for a 70/30 or 80/20 if possible.

If the NY Sour Diesel is anything like the east coast sour diesel I have been getting I would shoot for that one, very euphoric and uplifting.

EDIT: But if it's NYC Diesel, I'd check the other sativas, blue dream is pretty good but I think that one's another hybrid not such a high sativa.

Durban Poison baby! It's my favorite sativa and is an African landrace. In microdose quantities the high is energetic, euphoric and stimulating. You won't be able to lay around. It gets me motivated to do all my chores and then some. There is no comedown crash. It suppresses the appetite. Heavy consumption can be overwhelming. But a tiny little bit goes a long way and the high is awesome. I can haul hay all day on the stuff!

I love the landrace sativas! You can also try Power Plant, Thai, Columbia Gold, Lambs Bread, Alcapolco Good and Malawi.

I have a couple new to me sativas that I really like. Columbian gold, that has a minty, lime taste, and a happy uplifting, energetic type buzz. Great for day time. It looks unique as its covered in brown hairs and has a low calyx to leaf ratio. Very few sugar leaves in the buds, and very hairy.

And tangerine cookies. It tastes and smells like a tangerine, and a sweeter exhale like orange soda. A happy, and a little trippy buzz. The buzz lasts a good long time, but because it tastes so good you keep wanting more, lol. Like green crack in that way. Not good for appetite suppression tho.

As much as I like sativas it seems they can develope a high tolerance fairly quick, so I like to switch off frequently. Also in my current line up are green crack, super silver haze, blue dream, and gorilla glue.

why not green crack with some cbd isolate sprinkled on?
would it be worth switching to concentrate to reduce sedation? even cheap wax sauce?

If you find it, columbian gold or blue dream would likely be the varieties for you. A friend that gets anxiety from some strains uses and likes both.

Earlier I had said that Sour Diesel doesn't give me anxiety (PARANOIA I DON'T MIND). Blue Dream doesn't give me anxiety either, but I have heard so many time it is more Sativa or more Indica so I am not sure it counts as a Sativa for what I am going through with racing thoughts.

I think most effects of any herb have lots of variables. Blue dream is 85% sativa, but for me it's like a Valium. Very relaxing. But depending on how it was grown and when it was harvested the effects can vary wildly. I've grown blue dream 4 years now.

In general like most sativas it's racey if taken at say 8-9 weeks, but less racey and longer acting if taken at 9-9.5 weeks, and more sedative if taken after that. And there could be genetic differences due to different phenos of like seeds. So just use discriptions as general guild lines and decide on your own what works best for you.

Yeah I think I’ll have one hit and see what happens. Slowly dose. Not take 5 hits and say it’s not working and then in 20 minutes think I’m dying.

When I was younger I could smoke a shit ton and be fine. Older now. With kids. Been on deaths door step a few too many times so my brain just goes.
