Trying to find a portable/discreet alternative

My search has been pretty long and I've tried so many different Vapes that I'm kinda not sure what to get. None I have tried have been perfect yet and I really want to find something better than I've had before. Here is a list of what I tried and maybe some experienced ents can help me out. Also if you want me to comment on my experience I'm happy to do so.

-Pax2 I liked this vape a lot but it used quite a lot of weed and was quite smelly.

-StickyBrick Jr damn that thing hit but I just didn't enjoy having to deal with butane

-VapCap M. Honestly so good for the price but again the butane thing and I couldn't smoke with friends

-FireWood4 beautiful vape for stealth and personal use but annoying to refill and not great in groups

-Grasshopper hits like a bong but wasn't great in groups and got too hot

-Arizer EQ fun for a while but I prefer handheld

-CFX the most surprising vape of them all. Really great cheap vape. I liked it for groups but want something with a bigger punch.

-Mighty. So after everything I dropped the cash on a mighty. It of course is an amazing vape but I really wish it wasnt so big. It doesn't have a whole lot of stealth about it...

I'm considering something like the davinci IQ as it looks discreet and small and I can take it to a park to smoke with friends. I'm really not sure though.

Ultimately I need:
Small/discreet and stealthy
hits well
session style for a group of 4 people
preferably convection

Wow I've spent a lot of money ... I know my dream vape is out there!!!

You're an experienced vape journeyman. Why the beginners question?

The Fury 2 is not on your list and it's performance exceeds most of them for about $135.

:2c:
I guess im experienced somewhat but others have experience with vapes i have not used. I didnt realize the fury2 was a good performer, kinda assumed it was a bang for buck type vape and didnt think it was session

Problem i see is that stealth discreet convection vapes are not well suited for session style vaping with a group of 4 people. Sortof one option here or the other IMO.
Yeah i get that there will probably be a compromise somewhere but a vape like the CF does this pretty well keeping it small and session possible. Just want something a bit more powerful if possible. I feel like there might be a niche vape that could fit my needs. Someone reccomended the nomad.

It's a great performer! However, I'm not sure about 4 people on one, though I'm greedy and a heavy user.

They have a new, bigger version coming out very soon™ called the Fierce which has swappable batteries, few upgrades, not fully released specs yet, that might be worth waiting a couple weeks for.

Told the lettering won't be as bright, this is a pic of a testing model, shows the size increase though. It'll still fit in your hand/pocket discreetly.

Yeah, just get a Fury 2 from puffitup with the 15% code and even if your quest continues you'll have a nice hitting very portable option. Battery life is pretty poor but in a pinch you can carry a power bank like you'd use to juice your phone.

Get the glass wpa for home use too. The versatility of the Fury 2 offsets its weak battery life.

Kinda off topic but when is that Fierce dropping?

And remind me the details of that wooden project vape in the pic above again. It looks familiar but I forget which one that is or how the development is going.

Seems tempting. Thats the firewood 5 but i dont really like the shape which is a shame as the fw4 was a good personal vape. just not good for groups. the slider system kinda fixes this issue

I got to agree that the FW5 is a bit ugly... I imagine it's even worse when you have the tray half hanging out of the device bottom when you use the 3rd slot (for slots 4 and 5 you would just insert the tray backwards)

I didn't dare to ask in the thread but I know there has to be too many silicone in the air path for my liking (those red rings in the pictures?) to provide any kind of sealing. Has been the case with every vape I tested having some kind of retractable or swiveling mechanism, be it a telescopic straw or the Ascent bowl for instance.

I'm really unsure that the IQ would meet your "group session" criteria. It reportedly gets pretty hot with just a single bowl and I imagine it's closer to the Pax in spirit.

Why don't you just chose a vape for your solo usage and get a second one solely to bring to parties? I second what @IAmKrazy2 said above here.

Unfortunately no. I vape mostly solo or at most share with a single person. In group settings all my friends still mostly blaze spliffs (what a disappointment, I think I didn't fully convert a single person yet, despite being close a few times... they all eventually revert to combustion)

So I never really sought a party vape. That being said, the Zion has been shared a few times in a small group setting and it worked like the train it is... Unfortunately it's no longer an option for you as it's been prematurely discontinued.

I would have thought the Mighty would be the right answer for your particular demand, but it's indeed not very stealthy...

There’s the G-Pen Elite, it’s not convention though. It has a HUGE
.75 g oven so it can take care of you and your buddies. It’s not terribly expensive in case it gets lost in the woods. Battery is okay. It gets hot as hell though, and the taste isn’t great. It gets you there though.

I love my convection vapes, but hard to recommend for a group of people at the park. They have teenie tiny ovens and one needs to be stirred a lot and the other, well the Ghost is freakin awesome and I’ll recommend that all day. Putting it away stealthily in a pocket is difficult. Again, tiny 0.15 g oven. May not be at all what you’re looking for, but it’s amazing and I’m recommending it anyway. Just kidding.

You may like the Elite though. Just don’t expect Mighty quality vapor.

Or you can always get a Crafty.

Unless all members in the OP's group had a tiny tolerance, I don't think I'd recommend a Crafty. Back to back bowls on the Crafty get it extremely hot and the battery wouldnt last long for 4 people.

But OP, if 1 Mighty bowl was enough to get your group where you all needed to be, then the Crafty would indeed be a stellar choice. Same vapor production/quality as the Mighty imo.

Im not sure the crafty would work then. What i find strange is the Boundless CF does pretty much what i want and im just looking for a higher end version of that vape. Someone reccomended the haze sqaure which could be an option.

I honestly didn’t know if the overheating was with all Crafty’s or just mine. I just got mine used recently. It’s a 2014 model so I just thought that’s why it went hot. I’m glad to know it’s symptomatic. Now I can sell my Crafty and not feel guilty. It only has 18 hours on it.

On the Fierce, Healthy Rips said Wednesday:- FIERCE Vaporizer: We are currently testing our last 'engineered unit' before we go into full production. We could not be happier with the performance during this final testing stage - the functionality, vapor quality and battery life continue to blow us away. We will make an announcement soon regarding the release date and pre-sale order opportunities.

You might also want to keep an eye on S&B (Crafty/Mighty makers) as they're apparently having a sale right now and some people are saying it's to clear stocks before a new release. No idea if that's true or not, just a rumour so far.

@Skunkport that's handy info, thanks for sharing.

It's funny: my Fury 2 has its place in my rotation and as a microdoser I don't need a bigger version and yet still I'm kinda tempted by the Fierce.

I’m very new to vaping so I’ve been on a tear as of late buying vaporizers (almost all used). I bought a Crafty, Firefly 2, and Ghost MV1, as well as a Mighty that I bought new. Oh, on top of that I bought a G-Pen Pro, G-Pen Elite, FlowerMate HybridX, a proprietary vaporizer from a local dispensary, and my Dynavap M.

I vape at home so I’m not worried about stealth. It’s weird that I’m not interested in desktop vaporizers. If I do need something outside my home I have my concentrate cartridges.

I'm excited to recieve it. I agree the design is unique but only having a Max of 2 bowls hanging out won't be too crazy.

Hoping for a self contained unit perfect for on the go.

Fury 2 isn't a bad vape. Not my favorite tho. And for groups it doesn't take forever to charge ..

Tera has a large bowl and the v3 doesnt have Teflon in it. The v2 I had pumped out some pretty good vapor.. replaceable 18650s so you can have infinite power. The wpa is included too..

Honestly my favorite setup for groups is just to have multiple vapcaps. Over time I’ve just kept acquiring g vapcaps and have also bought an induction heater . I think multiple vapcaps lend themselves well to groups because people can load and puff at their own pace, and those that are nervous about the torches can just opt for the induction heat!
