Remember when you got your first vape ?

Man, it was like 14 months ago when I got my first vape...........a VaporGenie.

I was totally amazed at not only the taste, but how fucking little amount of weed I used compared to smoking.

Then I got the Purple Days, and I remember sitting on the couch and staring at the amount of spent abv that came out of the bowl while getting totally fucked up, and I was like............ WTF !!! Such a little amount !!

But then a year passes, and I kinda took it all for granted, that is, until I see a video, or something on TV where someone is smoking a joint. And then, I go right back to that " WTF !! It would take like 8 stems to make that one joint !!

I just never think about shit like that until I see it.

I can't believe vaping, both pot and tobacco, hasn't become the norm. First vape I ever hit was, back in '01, a generic dome with the conduction plate in the center, it tasted nasty, we didn't really know how to use it or anything about vaping, and it quickly took a back seat to smokin. A few years later I got a generic box vape, and it was ok, but I never really took the time to learn it. That was '04.
In '05 my entire collection got wiped out(stupid cops, took thousands of dollars of glass and rare weed, for chicago). In '06 it was the Vapir Air One that really made me see the light. It also made me realise their had to be higher quality units out there. I got the DBV and I was hooked. Traded up to an SSV, and had an E for a bit. I miss it.

It was with my Vapir I first really got to experience the efficiency, but more than that, I learned to appreciate the vape high, different as it is. I learned the come down of off vaping lacks many of the negative effects of smoking, my chronic cough went away, I stopped hacking up gross loogies every morning, and, most importantly, I discovered the joy of ABV brownies. It's like something thats too good to be true, but it is. Can't think of one downside to vaping, one trade off where smoking has the advantage.

Now I'm a very vocal advocate of vaping, and have converted many a head. My most recent conquest was already curious about vaping when we met, and when I gave him my sermon on the virtues of the vape, he was sold. He was all set to get a Volcano. I referred him here, and he got an Ion the next day. He loves it. I'm gonna try it soon, can't wait.

3 months on the day or sort offisch don't really remember what day i got my Volcano i loved it only problem the noise bags, and wanted a second silent one the stealth,after i bought it i stumbled on to this forum and saw what else there was and i'm kinda getting hooked on buying vapes now. I just ordered a PDP hell i'm going for a vape a month and for every occasion right now

It's been about three months for me too. When I first tried vaping a year ago, I wasn't impressed. But a health issue made me take another look. God knows I wasn't about to stop using herb; I just needed to find a new way to use it!

So, I borrowed a friends Hot Box until I could figure out what I wanted to buy. I found this forum and started reading and asking questions. God did I read. Now, three purchased vapes later, I am totally hooked. I'm like a kid at Christmas with all these new toys. And I would never go back to combusting.
The taste of the herb is so darn good when vaping. With my MZ, I also notice the amazing efficiency. I too am trying to convert everyone I know, to the point of buying them vapes for birthday presents.

My first vape on a whim was the Iolite. I really (almost) wish I would have done some more homework before taking the $250 plunge on this vape but it was a wonderful start. I too was amazed with the taste and how long it lasted.

Next was a VG (after the Io broke) and I was all but hooked. I quickly spread the word to some of my buddies and managed to help convert at least one of them (partially) the other is a regular vape head.

Since then I have gifted/traded my VG and Io and now I use my MZ at home and my SV when I have friends. Good times

My first vape was the volcano Got it back in february 2009 and I have loved vaporization ever since then !!!

Found this forum last summer and now i want about 5-10 new vapes

Ordered my PD in october got it in january. Love this vape too. I like the wood and the stealth of it and the efficiency because that was the main reason i started vaping along with being healthy.

Also just got a VG for portability

yeah, my first was the dbv, which was my first time using a vape ever. I remember as i unpacked it and hooked it up and got it ready to use i had my doubts that the whole vaporization thing would work as well as i had been hoping, and whether it would be worth the $200 i invested. I turned the knob down to noon and loaded up a 1/3 bowl and took my first hit and it went something like this..

*i start inhaling* .......... :/ .. ("doesnt feel like i'm getting anything but air...")....... omfg *i feel a tickle and stop hitting and fight to hold the hit as little wisps of vapor escape my nose and mouth...

as i held the hit in i remmeber thinking "yeah, this was definitely worth it, i didnt even feel that one goin in!"

*blow hit out*

"holy shit, that tastes incredible! i cant believe this is the same crap i smoked a bowl of last night!"

*I vape through the rest of the bowl and another little one (lightly vaping since i wasnt sure how high to set the temp and was playing it safe* the same amount that i rolled into the joint that got me stoned for <1 hour the night before*

(20 mins later) I gotta be at work in like 10 mins.

(a mile walk and 2 hours later) "Holy shit, i'm still stoned!"

First vape I used was some dome type of conduction vapor back in 1992. I didn't see the difference between that and smoking (it burnt the weed). I thought vaporization was some snake oil crap designed only to come between you and your money.

When I started to use marijuana again for medical reasons in 2009 (after once or twice a year for about 12 years) I was aware that vaporizers were 'real'. I did some research, knew I wanted a portable and bought the Iolite. Used it right after I got to g/f's house and loaded about 0.1g. I had read about it being a more cerebral high and so I started pretty small. Freaked out in a good way about the taste (this is what MJ tastes like? Really? Wow!); I could taste grape, citrus, pine, mint and dill). And then I snapped back to reality because g/f said I had been talking about The Food Channel for 15 minutes. Holy shit; I knew I got something because of the tastes, but zero harshness impressed me. And then I realized my joints didn't hurt.

And then we ordered Thai food

Two vapes later and I'm looking for a fourth.

g/f is not there yet but she never turns down a bag or whip hit.

My first vape was a SV, i had never tried vaping before but heard that it dnt smell and it got you way higher. At the time being 16 it was a huge investment for me, but i did alot of research and picked the perfect vape for me at the time. Then after a year having it my parent took it it was one of the saddest day of my life lol. Thankfully after it was decriminalized in MA they dnt care any more so i traded up for a vhw perk and a mfb. I still remember my first high off it it was before a football walk through. I decided to pack a small bowl and not get too high, well that put me on my ass and i have been sold since. I have converted 3 of my friend so far, they all own mfb.

I wish i still had my first one that thing was special to me

My first vape was bc vaporizer which would very much burn then herb.

Then i tried a conventional wooden box type vape at a friends who used to work in a bong shop. I was impressed but not enough to go out and buy one.

After some years reading about all the health benefits i was again looking for a vaporizer. Thats when i read about 7th floor's products and the awesome reviews they were getting. Finally got a da buddha and will never go back to combustion ever. Its an awesome vaporizer.

Recently also acquired a vapor-genie for portable use and it does pretty well for being portable.

I remember my first vape was a little piece of crap china box vape that costed like 50 bucks. It burnt the herb everytime and I hated it. I finally chucked it in the trash and after finally doing some research I found the vaporbrothers vaporizer. I was wondering if it was gonna be better than that china box. My friend came over with some hydro and we packed like .2 because the bowl on the vaporbros is so small. I was like is this little bit really gonna do anything? We start taking these amazingly flavorful hits that seem to just not stop. If we had packed that in a bong it would've been gone in 1 hit!
I hadn't smoked in forever and then I decided to roll a joint on 420. Wow it was terrible compared to the vaporizer, wasted like a gram and I didn't get nearly the level of high that a vape gives.

well, i've only ever used homemade vapes ... my first was a "proof of vapor concept" piece ... just a rolled up piece of thin copper foil that i heated with a BIC to see if vapor could be produced ... and, not only could vapor be produced, but it was virtually odor free (compared to trying to sneek a j next to the bathroom vent -- see, i was living with a Nazi) and burning a candle easily masked the odor.

i was hooked ... and what a long strange trip it's been ...

My first experience was with a hot box. This was probaly around 2006. I got super blazed and liked the Hugh just didn't like having to draw super slow and having to get use to that.

A year or two later I tried my first real vape, the ssv. I was really impresssed with the hits I got and it really made me start thinking about vaping. Then no smoke told me about the pd and I came here and started reading. After about a week of reading I had a pd on. Order and got it in about two weeks. The first day it came changed my life. I was up in my kitchen sitting in the sunlight staring at the pd waiting for it to get warm. After a half hour I pack a stem up, put it in and take my first pull. I didn't feel much at first but I could taste it like never before. I exhale a giant cloud and it instantly puts a huge smile on my face. I converted that day in febuary of '09 and for the first three months I was turning down hits on bowls because it tasted so bad.

After owning the pd for a month or so I went back over to no smokes and tried this new fangeled contraption he was raving about called the vapor heat wand. So I go over there and he packs a bowl up and has the wand allready warm. I take the first rip, blow out a GIANT cloud that was the tastiest hit I had ever taken. This was the first time I got bong size rips whitout crazy restriction. And the taste was out of this world. That night I went home and the gong lower bowls had just been released so I swooped on a whole set.

Then after using the wand for awhile I wanted to get different glass to use it with so my new habbit started. When I bought the heatwand I had a straight roor. Since then I've had 5 different bowl setups, bought a new tube, two bubblers, 2 matching sets, and I'm always on the look for new glass.

The glass addiction got me on websites that alot of people are using bho so I started getting curious about errl. No smoke made the plunge first and had his curve before I got my dome. We ran a batch of oil when it was -20* outside so it took a looooong time to purge. I bring it in, scrape it and I just look at this goop like it can't do what they claim it will. I go out in my garage and we each take a good size dab and start coughing our lungs out. Less than five minutes later I'm retarded. Ever since that first hit I've wanted to switch to strictly oil but living with parents makes it difficult to blast tane without them knowin. I just love being able to get blazed off your ass in ~1 minute. It's very convienent and it's just fun takin dabs.

i tried of those glass dome bc vapes once a long time ago. gasp. I blame them for ruining the reputation of vapes

got my Extreme a year and half ago. one hit and that was it. no more smoke for me

I remember my first two vapes.. bought within days of each other. First one was a Vapor Buddy (knock off of the VG). I was totally amazed by it, and showed it to my friends. For being a knock off it isn't that bad in terms of how it works. However it is no VG. My second vape a few days later was one of those stupid Glass Dome vapes, I believe it was a noble. Was thoroughly unimpressed with it. So much so that I ended up with a Natural goods a few days after that. Was blown away by that experience. I have since moved on to better vapes. But I will say, the vapor buddy sold me on vaporization... and the noble globe made me yearn to find the best vape that I can.... still haven't found it, but have found much better vapes...

Getting my first VAPE 2morrow for my bday , ive been reading a lot of these threads on here , thank you all for your valuable input and comments on vapes and experiences ill post up my feed back on my first vape hit

I completely agree with you. Congratulation on your first vape and Happy B-Day.

I am getting my first one(MFLB) some time this week and it's all because of this forum.

I already have plans on a second vape, the PD. I just have to wait until the waiting list is back up, then wait a little more. It's easy!

I remember when I got into vaporizing, back in June of 2001, but I don't remember quite HOW I found out about vaping. I think I may have seen those old globe-style vaporizers with the hot pedestal in the middle and a tube to huff on... I think I remember thinking it didn't look ideal since most of your vapor was going to sit in the globe and stick to the globe's walls instead of going straight to your lungs. I remember looking up vaporization (then a relatively new method of using herb) and discovering the Eterra - a direct draw style vape. I remember emailing with the owner, and finding out about Dale Gieringer's early research work and ordering a vape (Eterra Classic). And he actually sent me two, because they were at two different temperatures (325 and 365F) and he wanted to know which one I liked more.
I remember sitting in the loft at my parent's house with my brother watching movies, lying on the floor, vaping. The Eterra classic is basically what the Aromazap/MyrtleZap/PurpleDays are today. Those were the days.

However, now I use a bag vape all the time, so I guess I don't believe that you are losing so much vapor to the inside of a container.

My first vape was a VapeBros, senior year of high school. That thing got plenty of use, considering nobody else even knew what a vape was. It amazed us, and got us hella baked. We didn't even know what to do with the vaped weed after, I think we even threw it away a couple times.

VapeBros has a quality product, and it made our summer epic as hell.

I bought my first vape I believe January 3rd, 2010. I bought an Extreme V3 and I love it and use it to this day. It's only been a few months, but I love this thing.

I just got into vaping and I have a Magic Flight launch box.

I enjoy this vape and I have zero complaints as it goes above and beyond my expectations and suits my needs fine.

I'm sure that eventually one day I'll want a vaporizer that plugs into the wall and that I can use indoors.

I'm glad that vapes have become highly effective, well made, and have gone down in price.

Got my first vape about a year ago, The V-tower extreme! my god was i amazed at this thing! i loved and have loved it since! still combust on occasion but i have stopped for the most part now(exception being at a friends house)

After that i needed a vape for work,,,, so Vapor Genie was the one for me! I liked the price and it work great! Using butane really sucks but whatever, better than combustion!

Then the iolite came into my price range purchased this and havent used the genie much since hahaha! Once i got the iolite broke in it puts out mad clouds! Use it every lunch hour with the boss

Most recently i got a DOSA TI swing vape for my concentrates and once again, there is no going back

also upgraded to the Extreme Q and it blows the old extreme out of the water! i love my vapes and my glass! using them together is the best!!!!

I figure this is a good spot for my first post. I first vaped probably back in 2006-2007. I was at a friends house when someone came over with a Volcano and some kill. I was blown away with how much better it was, but at the time I didn't realize how much it was worth, and didn't make the change. After some time not smoking, had to get some other things right in my life, I was back to smoking. Being older, wiser, and having more money...I had pretty much stopped smoking mids(if its free its for me) and was smoking bowls and bongs of quality green. I was at a friends house, sitting out back, smoking blunts, and another friend shows up with some bag and says, "alright time for "Da Buddha." Life changing. I fell in love. I got lucky, I purchased the DBV without really doing any research about a month ago...and I'm never going back. FUCK COMBUSTION.
