This is my first time dealing with Newvape since I got my vrod, but are they always this slow to respond to emails and ship out orders? 2 days to respond to an email and an in stock order doesn't ship out within the next business day? I had a small problem with my order and it's kind of frustrating not being able to communicate with them in a timely manner.

Just placed an order for the Vrod plug, and very pleased to see there was a shipping option for $0.45!

Total price for one plug with shipping to the US: $1.45. It says the plug will be taped to a post card and sent general mail.

That $0.45 price was only for 1 plug though. Once you put more than one in your cart, that shipping option went away and you were stuck with the standard $7 priority shipping.

Thanks NV for thinking ahead and making the upgrade quick and painless. I was worried what I'd end up paying on shipping for the little plug!

Thanks for posting that! I was going to wait until I needed a few more items before I picked up a plug... but no reason to wait with that shipping option being available.

No, I would stick with the showerhead for flower only. Why spend money for something you don't need?

Both the SH set and the Vrod set cost the same, $100.

Gotta be completely upfront. I have been shower head enthusiast since the beginning too. I love that piece of New Vape magic, however, if I were to do any concentrates at all I would definitely get the VROD without hesitation....it is that good for goo.

But if you didn't do any concentrates at all, and you were flower only, what would you prefer? SH or Vrod? Remember cost is the same.

I am waiting for the price to stabilize......I don't want to overpay for my piddle paddle.

Must be a supply and demand thing! I'm glad my 15 stocks have DOUBLED in value! :brow:

Why spend more for features you may never use? Get those things if and when you need them.

Consider @invertedisdead and remove dabbing completely out of the equation. Both are the same cost FOR FLOWER. He doesn't think the SH is KING for FLOWER like the status quo appears thus far, in fact... the complete opposite. I think it's worthy of some discussion! :)

I think if the Rev B hole plug works as advertised for higher temp uncapped hits, there would be less of a reason to go with a SH. Other than the whole coil thing, which could be a big deal depending on ones current gear.

The Vrod does feel smoother to me, i haven't felt the need to move to a larger water pipe like the Sh made me feel.

When I bought mine it did not come with a dish I had to buy one.

Correct, but you only paid $90 for the head without a dish. When NV still had the SiC dishes in stock, you could buy a Vrod with no dish for $90, and then add on a quartz dish for $10, or the SiC dish for $60.

It's only now that the SiC is out of stock that they automatically include the quartz and charge the $100.

Didn't look at the thread for the last day and whoa so much to read again, thank you all for the concise and informative posts. As I am currently solely just a flower user I'll stick with the SH, seems like it just has an edge over the Vrod for this application, appreciate all the sound advice my fellow FC'ers. Have a great day wherever you are.

Flower on the VROD = shower head -1 on a scale of 1 to 10

WOW quite the statement! :o I thought they were CLOSE??

@biohacker do you own a shower head? Didn't you sell yours in November '17. Very unsatisfied according to your posts at the time

Yeah I quit flowers in favour of rosin and wanted to give one last go at a convection vape without investing a tonne, and the glass bowl has had my eye for a while. It's all in my posts, and perhaps will help you understand why i'm so intrigued by some members saying that the Vrod is actually smoother than the SH. This member, and some others have the same respiratory issues with convection heat as I do.

Also please read the posts when I received the SH, and all the videos, etc. for the first month, until I abused it and messed up my lungs for a while. I'm pretty sure i've been just as much of a sales rep for NV here as you, not to mention my homie @invertedisdead with all his super rad videos!

Do you plan on picking another one up anytime soon?

Should be here next week! Also picked up a newer style bowl so I can finally experience no sticking! Not sure if my incoming 14mm and 18mm glass bowls will stick or not?

PM if you are looking,

Dude, I don't even know if I should respond to it, please re-read it - especially the last part... that shit would get you banned in a flash... you are very misconstrued on all of your points my friend! I still can't even believe what I woke up to this morning :o:rolleyes: Regardless, bless you mate.... I hope your day goes better than your last night.

Well ... [vrod] = [shower head] - 1 on a scale of 1 - 10 means [vrod] = 9 if [shower head] = 10 ... so they are close?

On another note ... I think I might have finally found a way to get the reverse GX16-5 female butting connector required to build these adapter cables for a reasonable price :) I'm waiting to hear back from a supplier ... if it works out though, I will order a batch of 10 to start, so will be able to make the cables for I believe $30 USD. I believe this will be a fair price and will balance value for the customer and it being worth my time to bother making them.

I'll keep everyone posted :)

@JCat and anyone else looking for aviation cable connectors these should work. You got to buy the set though

http://www.mdfly.com/products/high-...in-aviation-plug-m12-cable-to-cable-type.html
These aren't the right ones. You need the "reversing" ones. Plus these are the 12mm (GX12 or M12) and NewVape's are the 16mm (GX16 or M16). I've actually contacted vendors where they have whole catalogs of GX16 connectors, and none have been able to supply me with a GX16 5 pin female reversing cable (butting) connector. I can get GX16 5 pin female reversing panel mount, but not for end of cable. I can get GX16 standard (non-reversing) for cable end, etc. Really, the connector required for the adapter cable is literally the only connector of this style that seems impossible to find. All other combinations of aviation connector can be found, but this one specifically is a rarity
