Never tested it for waterproofing but that may be a risk warranty wise. If I remember right, the s&b warranty is cancelled for water (even humidity) damage. You may want to take a look. Or shoot an email to RYOT.

I dont have any plans to bring it to a bath with me or near the water, asking just in some unpredictable thing would happen, and I read somewhere that they are waterproof, but not sure If all the versions or just the new one :)

I use blue painters tape. It chills out the bright screen for nighttime, and you can still see it in sunlight

There's a guy in this forum who dropped his Mighty in a lake, and it still works!

Here are 2 videos i made. First is drawing and the 2nd is blowing into the mighty (which technically you shouldn't do).
I kept the might and it's still going strong. It's only whistling when i draw relatively hard, so no problem at all.

Mine makes a noise when inhaling hard that is similar to the first vid but there is no difference made when I cover the charger hole.

I'd personally be annoyed if the air path is leaking through the case, air is supposed to be coming in from the intake hole below the heater only.

I didn't think that the charger hole leaking air into the heater would be possible, when you look at the case design the heater is pretty much seperate to the rest of the case?

Is it safe to use without it, untill i buy one?
What its exact purpose, to seal?

yes it's to seal
press the cooling unit down until you have a ring

Hi all, new member here, recently got the mighty and dosing capsules.

I want to maximize the potency, making sure I'm not wasting anything. How is this consistency? Should I grind finer or more coarse, or is this good?

Welcome to the forums, and to the exciting world of vaping.

When you fill bowl or capsule, fill it enough (but not tight packed) so that material won't move around in there as air passes by. If you want to do less than full chamber, use a top screen* or one of many other methods folks have dreamed up to fill the void.

*take a normal fine screen and make one straight cut with scissors from edge to center point. We call this the Pac Man screen. The cut allows the screen to form a conical shape that will sit atop the load in Mighty chamber and stay in by spring tension.

I started at 375, letting it reach to about 350 before dropping in the capsule. Then had about 5 or so good draws, nice vapor.

BUT, after that, I wasn't getting much vapor anymore. Cranked it up to 382 then 395 took maybe 10 more draws at each temp but still the same.

How are people getting 10+ full draws with huge vapor?

I start at 375, take about 5 draws, then go to 385, then i take another 5 draws, then i go to 395-400 and take another 5 draws

I wait only 2 seconds between draws since i vape with my wife and were constantly puffing it.
We do not use capsules
I still get visible vapor at 395-400 but nothing compared with the vapor from the beginning of the sesh.

I load my capsules with about 0.25gr and at 180 degrees C I am getting some quite serious sessions. I try to wait about 20 secs between hits for vape to form. I have not counted average hits but with the nice quality herbs I have the fortune of getting hold of right now 0.25gr is "ridiculous"!! I generally start the day with a capsule with 8-10 hits and I park it in the PackRat till lunch. At lunch another 10-12 good hits and park. I usually get another 7-8 on my way home. I am guestimating amount of hits but only by a hair. I think that the quality of these herbs is part of the equation. I just had some good hasch that I ended up grinding and mixing with herbs, but when I first got it vaped clean but was not as fond of it as the herbs vap. To be fair I did not raise the temps for the hasch which probably would have helped.

:2c: i would not recommend that, good hash stays way longer tasty than herbs do. So the herbs will spoil the hash taste after a while...
I prefer dosing capsules with liquid pad in the bottom and fill it up with some hash flakes - better quality hash tends to 'rebond' together after a while but it also gets easier to (re)crumble, so doing that before a 2. + 3. session is advisable for good hash, lower quality gets 'dusty' and depleted pretty fast without rebonding, which makes it a bit easier to vape ironically...
But that's a general thing with vaping traditional hash, it's a bit tricky/takes more work no matter which vape - still totally worth it :drool:

Yes, finer for better performance. Not dust, that finer than that, IMO

Me, I'm lazy...I start at 385 until getting wisps then bang up to 410 for last finish draw or two. But lots of ways to skin this cat depending on your preferences.

Your AVB looked pretty good in the pic but its hard to tell true colors from a pic displayed in a browser.

I don't use caps, get about 1 draw per .01g. a full bowl, lightly tamped down, comes to .12-.14g. I start low, increase the temperature in steps, rarely get '10+ full draws with huge vapor' - the amount of clouds varies enormously, depending on the weed; with some I get clouds at low temps, with others I have to max out the temp to get clouds.

.12g to .14g with no cap, wouldn't that be pretty loose?
