@Fat Freddy and @mistvaporizer you'll be pleased to know I had it spinning on the bench while I mimicked holding a lighter at the cap.
I reckon it's doable.

@Blue even if a thin wooden wall does split the stem is still usable.

Open Twist in Blackwood today.
While I had the chance I mocked up how it would look with different glass condensers in it.
This stem will be getting a different design condenser fitted, hopefully.

Love that blackwood and orange glass open twist, simply stunning.

Great job Phatt's!

Had a full on week getting an office set up outside for Mrs PP, got her working from home a couple of days a week which is great. The structure is up and roofed just needs insulating and powering up.
I've been told repeatedly I'm to stay out when it's finished.

The Blackwood Open Twist I mocked up with the different glass was destined to get a different condenser design.
Pomegranate polyester over SS with a Ti insert.
All the bits show how life started out for this stem.

I love the way the pomegranate looks like it's moving up and down the twist.

That tree used to be 30-40' tall and swayed like no one's business in a wind. The ground moved and it looked like it was going to uproot and take an 8' block wall with it.
Cut it down to an 8' stump.

@Fat Freddy It works well as background to bring out the colour when in hand.
The resin is great it smells like a church incense.

The pigeons all now sit on top of the stump and shit all over.
My Mrs won't let me grill them.

It’s good to see I’m not the only one feeling that tree needs a shout out:rockon:. How’s about you wire up a couple of IH ports into that stump? It’ll be your ceremonial tree to christen in all new stems:razz:

Wood for the wood lovers and a bit of tree for the bark lovers out there.
Antique cigarette holders have been inspirational to me since I started.
Had an itch to scratch when I saw this one.

I have a new source of Ali for the accents. It's soft enough to cut with a wood chisel which is great.
Shed smells like a tarts boudoir and I can taste it on my facial hair, the body spray not the tart.
