I have no knowledge about batteries. I just knew that there were more reputed ones than others. I bought Samsung 30Q because I had one in my Tubo. But if you think LG HG2 could make a difference I'll try.

imrbatteries.com has a whole assortment of batteries with great customer service in case you're in need of assistance.

Hi everyone,

Today we have received a sample unit of a Tera without any Teflon in the internals. Below are images of the changes made. We have been testing the unit pretty much all day and it is producing tasty vapor with outstanding cloud production in our opinion. If the remainder of the testing goes well then the units will be on track to be shipped by early June. I will be showing the sample unit on our Instagram (@bndlstech) live stream tomorrow at 4:00 pm Pacific Time.

The newest version of the heater - set to be manufactured in early June: Externalhttps://www.dropbox.com/s/il3a4oted43quip/TeraUpdatedHeater.png?dl=0https://www.dropbox.com/s/h6vnjqhqk3vwlpt/TeraUpdatedHeater2.png?dl=0

Internal https://www.dropbox.com/s/mwofltbq8aagn1n/20180524_104345.jpg?dl=0 (My apologies for the lack of quality, there is no longer any material separating the ceramic heating rod and stainless steel spiral.)

Version 2 with Teflon on the internal ceramic heating rod as well as outer ceramic core:https://www.dropbox.com/s/30xyo2sm34glipe/TeraUpdatedHeater4.png?dl=0https://www.dropbox.com/s/hx80p517xxf7yoc/20180430_064129.jpg?dl=0

More updates will be available after we test the unit some more, I wanted to share these images today and give an early update on the latest version of the Tera. We are shooting for the early June manufacturing date and I will share the confirmation on this once it is given to me. Please feel free to email me, Eric@bndlstech.com, if you have any questions and I’ll do my best to help out. Thank you all for the support in this and we are would like to express our sincere apologies for the inconvenience this situation has caused.
Are you still going to be giving out the Teflon free replacements like you promised?

Can anyone compare the performance of the Tera to the Tubo Evic? Thanks!
I would say cloud production is the same (maybe a tiny bit thicker with the Tera
Vapor is hotter than the Tera with Tubo's short stem but way cooler/smoother with the Milaana cooling mouthpiece from Vapefiend
Taste is better with the Tubo
Batterie life is a bit better with the Tera (i would say you can get 2 more sessions per charge than with the Tubo) but it uses 2 batteries.
Tubo take the edge by far concerning versatility and customisable settings
IMHO

I primarily use WPA with my devices. Do you have a preference for which is better on a water piece?

I came on here to see if anyone saw the instagram live stream/feed that you guys did on Friday. Saw the new heater through my tiny screen and it looked good.

They said they will look after people with existing units and I quote here "for free" which seems a pretty decent thing to do. I'm a Mighty user. I believe that one thing you do when you purchase these products is invest in the company. You wouldn't get this with a Chinese vape. I doubt whether they would even be as transparent as these guys. Everything in life is trial and error and to go back to the drawing board a couple of times, hold your hands up and rectify the problem I think that shows that these guys are worth investing in. Still a little bit worrying that they released a product like this with issues but this is what our world has become. Everyone wants the next model or the new toy NOW and these guys are under pressure to keep up with demands, keep themselves relevant and keep up with their competition.

Love my mighty. It helped me stop smoking but it's not perfect. The terra looks very interesting and I was tempted by some good reviews - it was referred to as the mighty killer and I believe it could still be.

My next vape will be an IQ. I have VAS totally - over the last few months I've gone mighty, plenty, extreme q, volcano digit. Already had some cheap Chinese vapes but these underperformed and I still smoked. So next week brings me an IQ. Something I was considering but then got put off due to these forums and now VAS plus starting a site for UK vape reviews and related stuff. Massive black hole I'm going down here but I really LOVE vaping. The flavour! The aftertaste even.

Thank you guys. I'll keep watching and following. I'm sure this isn't the last you'll hear of me.

I'd really like to see a dual purpose vape. One where you can remove the battery and use it plugged in disabling the battery charging system completely. That and something with modular heaters. I know you want people to keep buying full units and keeping yourself in business but a terra with a user removable/replaceable heater would kick ass. Would have saved you guys having to recall full units - just send replacement heaters. Job done. Oh well, I'm not an engineer (yet) so there is probably a reason why. Plus would people be taking it out hot and then burning themselves and then a law suit not make it worth it. I'm sure other people have had these thoughts too.

Best of luck to everyone - users and boundless. We need to keep companies like this alive.

I never use water pieces so I can't tell.
I've just seen videos showing great results with both vapes through water

Based on past experience, I would stick with your mighty! I also doubt the terra will outperform the mighty in any shape or form. S&B is a German company with years of experience that understands R&D. Can't really compare the two IMO.

If they understand R&D so much, why do they still have aluminium in their vapes and no real/substantial update of any of their vapes since a digital volcano came out. I love my Plenty but S&B could do with some competition, the Mighty cannot even stand up by itself for loading for fuck`s sake.
I hope the Tera is all sorted soon so I can get one.

Yes the Mighty is a good vape but far from perfect. S&B could use an updated model with more consistent battery performance/life. These days a 2 year warranty on a $350 vape aint cutting it. Yes they have very good CS but its a hassle to be sending your unit back! They could use an upgrade!

This is why I love this forum. Lots of knowledge, people who are passionate about vaping. Agree with the points above. I'd personally love a plenty digit. Didn't want to hijack s&b on to this thread but they are good for comparison.

That link with the aluminium study was very interesting. Owning a digit myself gave me a bit of reassurance and did you see that setup in the photos? That's what I'm talking about. Imagine walking in to a vape bar with something like that set up.

I was corrected and told that boundless are made in China. I guess their r&d is USA then?

My main point was that instagram feed. Plus did I say I love vaping? :brow:

Interesting times for us all and it's amazing that we have a voice on here and the companies are paying attention. I'll still be watching. I don't WANT a Tera just interested in new models and the story that is unfolding here

That report is near 10 years old and looked like it was done in a shed, done by Germans for Germans (remember the latest VW emissions scandal?) if I go back far enough I could find reports that say smoking is healthy, I just can`t understand how a lot of people screamed blue murder when Boundless said it`s Tera would have aluminium in it, enough for Boundless to change to stainless steel but then I see comments like yours backing aluminium in the S&B products as fine. Same with their dosing pads, if S&B fine, people were worried that HR would use aluminium in their caps, would have been cheaper, but HR went with stainless steel.

My biggest problem with that study is I can't find it replicated anywhere for verification...not that it is only 10 years old or that the interior walls of the building are textured (I don't see any exterior pics of the building suggesting it's a shed).

I hope you didn't take my posting the study as my backing it. I'm just presenting relevant information. More relevant, imo, than applying reports of aluminum problems in cookware to vaporization. The problem is this study is the only thing we can point to that directly addresses aluminum in vaporizers, and all the doubters have nothing to point to except concerns from other industries and applications that don't involving breathing the air heated by aluminum. I have no interest in trying to convince anyone aluminum is safe...I simply want to present the best info I can find on it so people can make their own informed decisions.

This study was focused on aluminum content in the air stream since the Volcano has an aluminum heat exchanger. I think that's a fairly important distinction from aluminum used as a bowl or dosing capsule since that gets closer to cookware as it's in direct contact with the herbs. I think there's enough of a similarity to warrant some thought and study, but not enough for me to write them off yet. I also find it odd that S&B gets a pass on aluminum but not other companies. I think it's because S&B has a history of testing their products (those aluminum dosing capsules are part of their Medic line of medically certified vapes in Canada and Israel) whereas others have a history of letting the market figure it out after they've been using it.

Science doesn't change. If it was a good study, the results will be solid 1,000 years from now.

What has being German got to do with things? You saying all Germans are liars and cheaters? Don't disregard a study simply because you don't like where the person was born.

I'm sure if you did go back far enough, you could find study that said smoking is healthy, but we don't live in that time anymore. Peer review is a thing, and most country's have disclosure laws to stop that "smoking is healthy" thing for happening again.

Aluminium, PTFE, etc is safe, when used correctly. Water is safe when used correctly...

Unless you make a vape out of only glass and SS, there will always be issue with building materials that are used incorrectly, which is why you get things medically approved.

This is going pretty off topic though :p .

I'm still thinking about this vape. I love my M, but it's not a good look for out and about :p . The Tera with some capsules seem workable.

Any word on if they're still going to do the $50 CFV upgrade when the newest version of the Tera releases?

Just got done with my first bowl in the Tera. This thing is powerful. I like to take big hits and this thing delivers. Hope to get that v3 soon. Taste is ok not the best. Maybe more seasoning of the bowl will take care of that.

Had the two bottom screw fall out of my v2 and there is a rattle when I shake the vape. Kind of disappointed :( Contacted boundless and seller. Still going to use it.

Vape... For your health!
A US based vendor has the "Tera v3" in stock on their website, available for purchase. Last I had heard, just Vaposhop had the v3's in stock... Any official word if the v3's are now stateside?
