That's exactly what I bought! Lol. That's what it ended up costing me with extra shipping fees and exchange rate. I wish I got that 40 pack! I have to use my Tubo outside, so if I lose something, it's gone; not floating around my room somewhere.

I miss my pick. Anyone find good subtitutes? This is the closest thing I've found, but it costs too much to bother.

I just love the grip of that wooden handle.

Maybe you can buy at lamart shop and ask if he could reduce shipping costs as the pick is so small it will fit in the smalles envelope? http://shop.lamart.ch/index.php?route=product/product&path=64&product_id=104
Also Dynavap offers a similar pick sometimes, it's out of stock currently. Maybe you could ask their customer service about it? You can find it here, check each few days https://www.dynavap.com/dynashop/accessories if it's not urgent.
Mistvape also offers something similar: http://mistvaporizer.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3
It's a bit expensive though as it works as a screen placer for their own vapes.

Edit: Or just include it with your order of the soon coming wooden stems :D Because who doesn't want one of those?

Whats the best way to load the bent stem? Do you just load the joint and cap it off with the basket screen? Seems too far from the heater from what I've read. I am definitely paranoid about crumbs falling so i would prefer a method with the basket screen as a cap if there are other methods.

It works just fine with this method. You maybe just need a few degree higher temperature.
The other option would be to make a capsule out of two basket screens, more for micro dosing though.

Best is subjective @cfang I've been through the whole progression, starting with loading the whole joint, and capping it like you do now. Huge bowl, got old. Then I put an RBT screen in the joint just past where the cap hat stops, to shrink up the load as @sickmanfraud does
You can also use a cap to cap a cap, making a microdosing elb like @frosty234 mentioned
My current way of loading all my stems, I just moved the screen to the edge of the joint, and roll with it there, no cap, no holding the tubo or whichever unit upside down, just tamp down the load a bit and your good.
Picture essay that jacked me up last night. :whoa:

RBT screen available at 420EDC in stem.
I did pack the hat cap and put it right in the stem for awhile until my cap would not stay in the stem as well as I wanted.

Loaded with Orange Cookies. I fine grind btw
CKWNSZx.jpg

A dozen hits later, unstirred, 395° on demand for 10 hits, kicked up to 405° for a couple more to finish me off. Hardly a crumb out of place, but perfect abv.
Many ways to pack a stem, find what you like best.

Similar here.
I tried packing the whole joint and stop the herb with the basket screen, but there's too much room for the quantity I want to vape. Tried the two-basket screen method, which ideally I would think is the best way for microdosing, but it never worked for me (the deformed screen never quite fitted inside the other, and as such the stem didn't lock in place).

So now, like others, I just pack the basket screen with the herb directly in contact with the heater. Some crumbles fall off, especially if you stir - which I normally have to do, since I often find a dark spot in the center of the load, with greenish stuff on the sides - but nothing concerning.

This is actually one of the reasons why I can't wait for the wooden stems! :brow:
If they work as they should, they're gonna make the Tubo my daily driver both for home and outside.

Question: anyone knows if @funkyjunky will offer the possibility to buy capsules together with the stems? I'm looking at this (which is pretty cheap) but Vaposhop has a 15€ min purchase.

If I charge through the Tubo will it stop charging when full?
yes it will stop charging when the battery is full. no worries about charging inside the tubo.

yes for flat things like picks, whips, screens shipping is cheaper. everything that fits an envelope can be sent at $3.80 priority worldwide. i dont see a way to incorporate this shipping in the shop automatically, contact me after you placed the order and ill send the difference back.

Soon come @funkyjunky soon come the wood stems! :brow:
just got them! our man Aezhenn did very great work! thank you! now that i confirmed everything is fine, please prepare batch no. 2

yep. 2 capsules will come with each stem. possibility to add more to a stem order.

Great news!
Are the prices and different models of wooden stems already known? Are there even different models?
And will there be enough for everyone or do I have to be first in the shop?
Or is this all part of the surprise?

So many questions :D. I'm so impatient. Highly looking forward to those stems.

alright here is the info:

three wood stem sizes: small (6cm, $22), medium (10cm, $24), large (16cm, $26) - 2 capsules and envelope shipping included!
to add to each stem order and as replacements:
- glass inlay straight (protruding 1cm) $3
- glass inlay bent (bent section length 10cm) $6
- A-maze cooling insert for glass (TM :D) $3
- additional capsule $0.50

z3dmHRw.jpg

ill reveal the cooling insert in the next days, its stainless steel 316L, like the coils . it is definitely worth it! to the point that the short stems with short glass inserts and cooler are pretty smooth in use! trust me on this.
also it will fit the long straight and long bent mouth pieces.

i am preparing some glass at the moment and will list the item in the next few days on the store, dont worry ill give another heads up.

Also I know that its been discussed but im only on page 50 of this thread :p. Is there a consensus on the best batteries for the tubo evic? I know there were apparently a fair bit of duds for the Samsung 30Q way back.

Awesome! Thanks for the info - looks so good!
I don't quite understand which of the additional components I would need - probably one of the glass inlines and the A-maze cooler unit? Can't imagine the difference between the bent and straight glas in terms of looks and function. Do we just stuck them into the wood by ourselves or is this done by you?

I'm eyeing with either the mid or short sized one, I'd like to stay under 30 $ though because of customs :hmm:.
The long ones are incredibly long, can only image how smooth the vapor will be.

Props @ Aezhenn they do look great! I hope they perfome so as well :D

Has anyone tried the new J hook with the Tubo Evic? I imagine it would be pretty clumsy with the WPA and the top- heavy weight.

Looks like a perfect addition to the FLAM though. And a strong competitor for the Lotus and Sbjr. Does anyone own a FLAM that can weigh in?

Forget that. (Kidding) Wooden stems! I hope Funky can show pictures of the longest stem in the Tubo. Curious as to how that looks.

Can somebody tell me how to use on demand more effectively? I know session mode is better for battery life, but I'm interested to know if there are tips on how to get the best out of on demand mode. I'm also totally going to use the dosing capsules when the stems come out!

Im not aware about the 90Q duds, but you could also try the LG HG2's or Sony VTC6's

I like to use on demand mode with my direct draw stems. I find packing in a basket screen with no cap, as shown in @SloJimFizz's post above, works best for on demand as it situates the load closer to the heater rather than packing the glass joint. A slight tamp of the pack and I almost never have crumbs on the heater screen.

I typically press the button for 4-6 seconds to "preheat" and then slowly start to draw. I tend to take quite long draws (10-15 seconds) and I can get solid vapor using this method. On demand is my go-to method when I'm in the kitchen cooking or doing stuff around the house. The Tubo is so damn VERSATILE!!!

Also, I ordered the S&B dosing capsule magazine in anticipation for the wooden stems! Got my eye on a 10cm. Thank you @funkyjunky and @Aezhenn for taking the Tubo to new heights of versatility!!

I use the Mighty for some times now, and I need another vape. The Mighty works fine, but I laid my eyes on this beauty and I want this one for my collection. It's this one or the Milaana, but that comes out of the US so I'm inclined to pick this bad boy up.

But on the website it's all out of stock? I don't want a custom one, one of the three wooden colors is fine by me. Someone knows if the Tubo gets restocked soon?

Send a PM to @funkyjunky and ask how long it would take to get a Tubo.

He put a few more Tubos in stock when he posted this. All gone pretty quickly of course lol.
Damn, I was hoping the 4/20 orders were done. We just passed the six week mark this last weekend.
