showercap works with vrod.. it fits...

the showercap is a bit larger in diameter than the vrod, the new vrod carb cap fits perfectly as it was designed for this.

if you want to keep the cap on the vrod head, while you pull the head off to clear your bong, the showercap may not stay on, the vrod cap will

After some testing at 666F, capping, quartz nail ( haven’t opened D-Nail SiC yet), founded at the moment, my sweet spot for both dabbing, flowers or twaxing...

Yesterday midday... old DDs crew, minus some other in the shower, looking suspicious at this just arrived peculiar box...

Looking all classy, purdy and blushed, on her just found pinkish hue tones...

Everything fitting as a metal glove... I started on 666, just because in honor to this beautifully crafted “heavy metal” piece of machinery, built to last you...
so proud of this detail to perfection.
Thanks NewVape.

Another aerial view... 5 different strains, pure Sativas, Indicas and some hybrids too.
Look at those ABVs... totally roasted IMO.

Boys & Girls... remember, this is a hot VROD, be careful while handling, be really high, but don’t mix too much booze, branding your skin is painful, jajajaja already lesson learnt...
Shovelhead IMO better for one hitter snaps, Panhead for 2 lung busters clouds.
Getting ready to break into the D-Nail SiC tonight...
I’ll try to upload some videos after editing, coughing fits aren’t nice in camera, jajajaja
Best,
Z.C.
Stay vaped...

For those soldering on a new end, it's really pretty straight forward if you are good with a soldering iron (if you don't have much experience, might want to buy a few XLR ends as you might ruin a few getting it right :) )

The key is to use a high enough wattage iron in order to minimize contact time, as otherwise you will melt the plastic on the connector. (I'm using a 40W iron) Also make sure to use flux.

I just tried putting the 28mm Quartz dish in the Vrod head to test the fit and the dish ended up getting stuck in the head. It needed a little push to get it to seat all the way down in the head and that was it. I tried putting it in the freezer putting soap on the center post etc. I ended up just breaking it out. If you plan on switching dishes be careful. I had no issues with the dnail sic dish btw.

I would message them about that because mine fits just fine

Anyone looking for an adapter to get the V Rod working on other controllers, JCat’s almost ready to build some. If you want one, talk to him today or you may have to wait for a second batch to come up! This thread is where it finally came together:

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/i-need-the-vrod-help.28604/

@JCat If you can order a couple of extra parts for people who don’t see this in time you might want to consider it. Unless someone comes up with a better/cheaper solution I’m sure others are going to want/need adapters soon too. :)

What are your thoughts on making the FlowerPot Portable/Mobile? A custom chassis has been machined to fit the Enail Controller plus the new enail battery. Whats interesting to me is that it also plays with the "modular" idea that the stand has, so you can screw the heater post on it etc... we think its super cool to take camping or for outdoor activities. thoughts?

Yeah it's completely bad ass. I want one.

@newvape918 Roughly how long does the battery last on a full charge?

I think it's awesome and looks great . The idea to incorporate the battery, controller and now the stand into a all in one was a great idea. Maybe also mold a small hook or loop system into the metal cage this way you wrap your coil wire and enail plug around it to keep it a bit tidy for on the on the go and maybe even a notch for a dab tool, carb cap and qtip to be held. It is a really nice option for a limited audience but the people who can really use this should be all over it.

The cable management hook is a great idea.

@newvape918 I'd actually love to see a full body cage, protecting all sides of the battery/controller. I'd probably opt for something like that personally.

Its hard to give an exact number on"standby" hours, these normally will last you a long while on standby, i will test and get back with the answer tho! but it'll give you 2 straight hours of continuous use at 710 degrees.

There are notches in it for the dabber and loading tool etc...cable management is def a great idea!

I’m more interested in the V Rod first, but I am interested in picking up a battery and cage at some point.

So we can plan future purchases though, for those of us who have had a coil and controller from NewVape for a while, what will we have to replace to be able to use the battery?

How about people with other controllers, do you know which common brands fit or work with the battery, or which don’t?

Also, since we’re seeing a lot of people with other controllers wanting to use the V Rod, are you guys considering any adapters or recommendations for compatible coils with different style connectors, or are you definitely leaving that up to the community?

Well I've got a few thoughts

It's 100% bitchin' radical and the flowerpot is the best portable vaporizer ever

@newvape918 i think the vrod deserves its own stand. Something that holds the carb cap all nice like the current metal stand that fits the showercap. Maybe just keep the same design and instead of the large hole for the showercap make the hole sized for the vrod cap.

Also do the current stands come with the posts that have the bigger post head? Anyway to add an option to upgrade to the ti post stands?

I agree! The Vrod cap doesn’t have a fitting home. I wonder if they could machine an insert that would drop into the spot for the shower cap but had the smaller diameter of the Vrod cap. Then you could use the beauty of a stand we already own. Modular like.

My concern would be weight (How much does it weigh) and where do you put your herbs and glass piece? I like the suggestions for a way to secure and tidy up the cables. What about a design to incorporate the battery in one of your cases?

Thats a great question. @newvape918 I purchased my NV set-up last December. I then ordered my VRod and new coil this past Friday. Next month i’m planning on picking up the battery and chassis.
Does everything sound Kosher to you?

And while I’ve got your ear when do you think the VRod and cap will be back in stock? I don’t know how much longer I can wait for mine to ship.:bang::bang::bang:

@Grifo I’m pretty sure as long as your coil is 100w or less it will run it. If you know what brand coil you have you should be able to check the wattage.

So after using the vrod for a day I’m surprised at how low I’ve been able to go and still get good clouds and extraction. I’m at 565 and still getting good clouds with no carb cap and minimal breath control. It’s been working great for twaxing too. Between 565-590 seems to be my sweet spot for twaxing. I definitely did not get the same cloudage at that temp with the WA or SH. 700 with the vrod and I get black abv, don’t think I want to push it much past 700. More testing is required though!!:science::science:

The bowls from Stevenlmz are awesome. I think micro dosers will like them as it really cuts the bowl size down. I feels like because it is smaller it helps vape the bowl a little quicker as well. You can still fit a decent amount of herb in there if you want due to the depth. No issues with it being deeper than the NV bowls either btw. I have found 3/4 brass screens cut down to fit seem to work the best for a screen as the ss screens are to stiff and pop out easily even when cut down.

Holy crap, I was looking at 12V coils and controllers to go into my van for camping, but this is IT.

I take it the battery has an inbuilt inverter to put out AC... Would be amazing, could even use a 5V usb power brick -> 12v cig lighter adapter -> car-charger 110-250V 'laptop' brick to charge it up on the go.

If it can get 2H of continuous hitting it, that's amazing.

e - @newvape918 would you be able to share some specs on that battery? capacity and output voltage and current?

What are your thoughts on making the FlowerPot Portable/Mobile?

For sure an important question for you. But what's about the still open question of a lot of customers regarding a VRod coil which fits to other controllers or at least an adapter to make it suitable to them offered by NewVape? All those customers don't know what they shall do if they intend to buy a VRod.

I think it's really time to get a comment on that from NewVape. What are your thoughts about?
An answer to that would be very helpful for customer's decision.
Thank you in advance!
