I agree. There's nothing worst than having to send your new unit back in to be fixed. I really wish they made it possible for us to update future firmware ourselves. Seems kinda odd not to include that when tiny portables have apps and ways of downloading firmware updates. But I'm not an expert so I just trust they will get it right for us.

I attempted a one gram dab in the Dr Dabber Switch the other night.

I knew it wouldn't power through it, but I was curious to see the result.

In other news, I've been connecting with smokers to get their feedback on the Switch's dry herb performance.

I've been enjoying the smokey sessions more and more, especially during nights and weekends.
I'm still not sure what it is or how it really compares to smoke and vapor, but I definitely like it better than smoke and it gets me higher than either of them.

Very happy the delay is due to fine tuning. The wait will be worth it I'm sure. I don't want a rushed product either.

Waiting to see that fumed glass piece before I decide what extras to pull the trigger on. I love the idea of the trippy glass that changes over time, especially with a device that's already meant to trip you out with the LED lighting effects. That said, $90 for a piece of glass that's structurally and functionally identical to the stock piece is a little steep. If there was an option to pay the difference and swap the stock glass for the fumed, I'd do it in a heartbeat. But I'm sure that would be too logistically challenging for the company $:\$

Here is a very informative tutorial/review from SneakyPete, he really took the time to learn about the device and I thought I would share it here.

Two updates we have made since his review:

Rocker switch can now be moved over from oil to leaf rapidly and vice versa
Silicone seal on percolator was added to increase vapor density

@freddiegibbs I'd wait and see what 3rd party people come up with. Just look at all the cool Peak attachments people are making. WAY cooler than the 1st party stuff and probably a better deal.

I'm hyped for this unit to get into glass blowers hands. :rockon:

Would have been really cool if @Dr.Dabber added UV lights to it so we could get UV glass blown and the way it would look all lit up while taking a rip would just be awesome. To late now but maybe in the next version...

I was thinkin the exaact same thing! Paying the extra $30 bucks or somethin, to swap the stock one with the fumed.. cus $90 for a one with the exact same function is a little steep. I picked up the bubble cap tho.

I agree, $95 for the exact same functionality is very steep

Holy shit...use the Switch with your abv!

Last night I went down for a nightcap and was camping out in high temp herb modes and decided to throw some abv in there. I got 2 solid hits and went straight into sloth mode...super faded.

I'm gonna do a test later with some fully spent abv from a Volcano and see what I get for effects. If I get anything noticeable it's a huge win!

I want to try it after I press rosin. Usually I vape the pucks any ways before I use avb for making tincture

I always press,then dab in cloud evo, then vape grinded pucks in davinci iq. Hopefully the switch will replace both those. In that sense. I always grind the pucks when their still hot from pressing. It grinds perfectly that way for me.
