You say life is too short to , but if your advise to customers who have received poor service is to stop moaning and try to resolve the issue independently of the company (even though it was their error) you cannot then also claim they have good customer service? Reselling should be a last resort option.

I am still hopeful Dynavap will resolve this issue for me, all I want is a refund for the cost of the order, the import fee, and the return shipping. Preferably paid in full immediately, trusting that I am an honest person and will return the items. Is that too much to ask?

It probably isn't too much to ask, but it may be beyond Joe's authority to do without approval.

I'd really be bummed too, as all my transactions are debit which is basically cash. And there are months where being out that $50+ would really eff things up.

Sorry man.

@VanCough I hope they can figure something out for you. There wasn’t much of a solution for me.

I’m still a bit upset about my LE tip tbh. It was supposed to be my fourth 7 fin tip but it’s only good for fitment testing to me. I honestly still feel like throwing it out as it serves as a reminder of the bad deal. I was offered a replacement for my LE tip but I had to decline as I don’t like the look or feel of it at all. I don’t even want to trade it away because it looks so bad.

So I’m stuck with a part I paid and waited months for that isn’t even functional or asthetically pleasing from my stand point. Which all started with a design change that no one asked for, followed by price increases, reserved parts that were sold to the public in a flash sale, long production delays, no communication for weeks, etc. What a nightmare it was and still is.

On a positive note, I was bummed out because they had a run on the newly cut LE
7 fins tips—but had run out of them due to demand.

I was asked if I wouldn’t mind getting an original 4th Gen instead? Tickled pink,
I concurred.

After receiving my coveted OG 7fin tip, I got a familiar green envelope, and inside I found
an LE 7 fin tip. Gratis!

Also, early on, I received a SB M. Again, Gratis.

So, needless to say I was Gratis-fied by an awesome company.

Color me positively thrilled!

I recently noticed that my nonavong does gets stuck in both of my stashes. I got the nonavong a couple of months of ago and I do like it, but it does not fit in my g2 xl, nor my burl dynastash er2. I know for a fact the burl er2 has the right size hole, because I had to send it back when I received it due to the fact that my burl vong s got stuck in it. They drilled it out and its been fine ever since. Anyway its not a big deal because i've got plenty of other stems that do fit, but I was wondering if anyone else had nonavongs that don't fit the stash properly?

I was pleasantly surprised to find that my new fat little OmniVong fits perfectly in the Stash I got a year ago for my M. Perfect! (But sorry yours doesn’t fit!)

And because I haven’t been helping out much lately, I thought I’d post this to help those planning to gather together somewhere nice to have some good fun and good fellowship....

I don’t blame Joe for the issue, I just wish he would be more timely in his responses and prioritise my issue over others which are likely less frustrating for customers (although I am only assuming and perhaps I am one of many this has happened to?)

Mine are also debit, a member privately messaged me suggesting I should contact my credit card company and get them to cancel my transactions and blacklist dynavap, but that isn’t an option for me and even if it was it’s not my style.

Fingers crossed they’ll sort me out, I still have faith.

Yeah I remember you saying man, that sucks. Are you sure it isn’t just a one off though? Maybe if you accepted the replacement it would resolve the issue?

I just hope Dynavap can get back to their sterling reputation and customer service because they remain an innovative company that I want to support.

I hope it's just a misunderstanding.

I have issue with the overall design of the LE tip which goes beyond the marks that are on the edges. A replacement would just cost Dynavap money, inventory and time to send it to me and I ultimately still wouldn't like the tip.

The sharp edges, tapered fin profile and helical milling that goes all the way down the tip ruined the look, performance, tactile feel, and fitment with existing parts.
  • The edges are sharp making them susceptible to picking up marks, and dings.
  • The staggered uneven pattern of the fins uncomfortably bite into my fingers, making for an unpleasant tactile interaction.
  • The sharp edges don't provide a good friction surface for the cap which just falls off when adjusted to fit my original tips.
  • Dust in the fins is easily visible due to the angle added between the fins.
  • Visually it looks like they're badly worn threads with bits missing because the geometry of the shape does not lend itself to easy visual understanding.
Any positives that the LE tip has are so badly overshadowed by the downsides that I can never love it or use it. It's more useful to me as a fitment tester because the O-rings are the only part of the tip that wasn't changed and are at least current with their newest specs.

Interestingly most of the things you dislike most about this tip are what I LIKE most about the tip. I DO have to dedicate a cap to it, but that isn't a problem for me. I don't need all my caps to be interchangeable. And I find the cam like look of the tip quite beautiful.

We just have different ways of viewing this, neither of us are wrong or right. I think a lot of people had very different expectations for the LE tip, and it wasn't even possible to satisfy everyone. If it had just been the original 7fin repeated I wouldn't have even ordered it as I already have 2 of those.

My problem with your issue was the lack of communication with you by Dynavap, not the final product they delivered. The level and manner of that communication was disappointing and obviously unsatisfying to you and me by proxy <g>. Not that you needed my support...

Oh, I'm aware that others may love the look and feel of the LE tip. I know that the geometry could be seen as beautiful in the right situation but it doesn't come across immediately to the eye. The other designs I've seen from Dynavap range from complex to simple but they're all easy to perceive, which is why this design sticks out. It looks like bad threading from a distance even if I know it isn't.

I don't see how anyone could have had a different expectation at the start of the thread before the design change was sprung on us.

I put my name down (I was one of the first) expecting to get something that was a repeat of the original design with perhaps some slightly improved areas, and better machining. That's how the thread started out and what the original plan was. I was thrilled at the chance to get just one more of the 7 fin tips which I love so much. It was a dream come true that I could complete my last vapcap setup with a final 4th gen tip.

My problem with your issue was the lack of communication with you by Dynavap, not the final product they delivered.
The issues with the product delivered were ultimately caused by a consistent lack of communication from Dynavap to the forum and myself over a long period of time. There was only one post from George in the thread and no other Dynavap people chimed in to correct us about our speculations. No one was asked about a design change, they just went ahead and did it, (also this caused production difficulty and it was put onto us, via a price increase). We then found out by surprise (in a video update, reposted by a forum member) that the tips were going to be a flash sale, and a good number of people missed out because they couldn't be home for it. All of this happened before my communication issues even started.

Anyone know the dimensions of the high temp o-rings that goes on the titanium tip? I cleaned mine out with acetone and ruined the o-rings that are attached to the tip where it inserts into the body.

I tried to order them thru the dynavap website, but they wanted to charge $13 for shipping a 0.25oz package. Uh, no, not paying that. I know where to get o-rings, just need the size. Thanks!

The o-rings Dynavap is using right now are viton, but if you want to continue cleaning with acetone you might want to check other materials...and if you do stick with viton, make sure you don’t torch it because the fumes from it are not good.

Careful. Those things are only rated to 400F. My Dynavap vaporizer gets hotter than that!

I agree that’s something to be careful of, but do you think it actually reaches 400 where the o-rings are? I haven’t tried to measure the temps at the base of the tip, but I’d think it would be under 400 down there...maybe not enough under to make me very comfortable though.

Also, is the o-ring that sits between the tip and the body the same size as the others on the tip, just stretched? Or is that a larger ring @Mr K would also need to get the size of and replace separately?

Personally I’d just stick with iso (or I might try iso in a sealed bag in an ultrasonic cleaner filled with water), but if someone’s set on acetone I guess it’s good to have appropriate o-rings to recommend. :)

Normally I just dip a q-tip in the acetone and slide it through the condenser, and on the inside of the tip, trying to not hit the o-rings. But this time I gave the tip a bath in the acetone as it was pretty goopy. The o-rings on the condenser are fine and never touch any solvent.

Acetone just works so nicely, gets them brand spanking new clean. I loss my patience with iso.

Lol, did you remember to also spray some mustard gas on it while you were at it? You won't get it completely clean if you don't.

In all seriousness, try this stuff called Randy's metal and glass cleaner, works like a charm for even the heaviest buildup. Its similar to Formula420 but it's even stronger.

Greetings. I purchased the Ti NonaVonG with out the mouth piece because I figured I’d be using it with a bong mostly. I’m wondering if I can buy the wood mouth piece seperatly or if I should just return this and get the one with it already.

You'd either need to get both an XL condenser + Spinning Mouthpiece, or the Omni Condenser/mouthpiece (it's all one piece on the Omni)
