They are basically the same, really hard to tell a difference flower to flower. You actually may be able to go a little lower on temps with VRod once it’s all pre heated .So how does the VROD compare to the showerhead specifically with flower...sorry if I missed it.
No need for a snarky response. I posted here to ensure I would putting all the pieces together as well as compiling the costs correctly so I could make a decision. Thanks for turning me off to the idea of spending more money with you guys...

Oh man. Need to start saving, the vrod sounds close to perfect for what I'm looking for.
I think I'll probably pick up a VROD with a Sic dish if/when they reach these shores (and they're not price hiked)
But I think I'm going to need a new coil and nut too.
I cannot get them apart any more, it's like they've seized together. And the flowerpot seems much looser when sat on the bowl then when I first got it. I think possibly the nut has deformed slightly from getting stuck on the post.
@newvape918 @NewVape710 can you guys send some new coils to @VapeFiend.com please? lol
Also, can you say when will the new v2 posts and tighter tolerance parts be available please?

Can’t speak for newvape obviously but I don’t think he meant it to sound snarky, it’s just they’re reselling d-nail dishes and probably aren’t allowed to undercut d-nail themselves on price as it looks like it’s $60 on their site too.
Edit: looks like $60 is d-nails sale price also unless I’m looking in entirely the wrong place

I don't think it was snarky either...but since it's turning him off of the idea of purchasing from NV, he's doing them a favour IMO.
D-nail has been out of SiC dishes for a while now (since 4/20?).... perhaps they sold them all off to NV? They do appear to have "factory seconds" for $40 in stock now.
High5 also now sells the 28mm SiC dish, and can be purchased at PlanetVape.ca but only with a coil. May be of interest to those with high5 controllers.

Dnail usually has them priced at $80-100 so $60 is a nice deal on the Sic dish , I paid $100 a year ago for mine .

Sometimes when you ask nicely in an open forum they will give you a deal to show how great they are, especially when you plunked down a bunch of money with them and have continued to over several months, and just after some other guy said he'd never buy from them 2 posts ago...
Maybe you wouldn't even consider a deal, or asking for one but...if you don't ask you definitely won't get...
*Edit, one other note, I already bought and paid for my VROD, order # 15585, so I'm not just some random jerk either...
Word, but speaking from experience, you would get much farther ahead emailing them directly for special circumstances. They are incredible people over there.

Based on the durability of the SiC dish and the flavors and efficiency it produces, I would say it's worth the extra 60 bucks.

As a side note, I really like the durability and just pure chug-ability of the SiC and ordered that one, but also got 2 quartz ones in that order I mentioned above.
I think the quartz is the cleanest taste, but at the volume that I require it gets stains that will not come off. At one point in my last quartz dish I use with the FP, I was removing it and burning with a torch to clean and I think the heat differentials and the heating cycles finally got to it and it cracked :/ So 2 more this time since they're cheaper. I still have 2 unused SiC dishes for the FP WA head, with 2 in rotation.

Super excited I ordered the vrod head and a NV coil last night. The XLR connector came in yesterday so I’m all ready for when my NV package arrives!!

Saying nice try was absolutely meant in a demeaning way. It implies I was trying to get over on them or create more of a discount then entiltied to. How was I supposed to know the discount applied to a part of a part and not the whole part? That’s the entire I reason I posted the question; to ask if I had it right or not. There are a lot more pleasant ways to answer that question...

So were the tolerances on the bowl adjusted in this first batch of VRODs or did that stay the same?
I have to agree strongly with the others. I did not interpret @newvape918 's response to you as you did. Very lighthearted in fact, "nice try bud" was simply a relaxed, humorous expression which you interpreted incorrectly. But I do fell without question that you have misread this completely, so really no need for you to feel insulted. To deprive yourself of superb potential upgrade on that basis would be unfortinate and silly, IMO of course.
Sorry I just dont like seeing so much negativity in this thread recently, most of which seems childish, selfish and uneccessary. Come on everyone this thread can be so much fun. Please think twice before clearing your chest and lowering the vibe around here (not aimed at you btw @MAbud , but generally.)

I’m rockin my SH right now and I have sold my E-Nano. I never though I would get rid of it but after two days with the Flowerpot I am sold! I use an EQ screen as the bowl and another EQ screen screen underneath the bottom of the 18mm slide to catch reclaim. Can’t wait for my V-Rod.
Same here. I could easily sell my Enano they cannot compare... As much as I dig the Enano community.
I actually do a eq screen when using thc strains... And then I have another eq screen at the other end of the drop down
