@JCat I would be down for an adapter as well, but I wouldn’t need it to be for a new vape coil to my auber controller, not a high five. I will PM you closer to the purchase of my Vrod. Maybe your the perfect candidate to take some of the people like me who want the Vrod to work with their non new vape controller, and charge us so you can make some money haha. Forsure let me know if you start a list or anything.

Has anyone purchased the battery+cage for the controller? Curious about a nice sized pelican case for the kit. @NewVape710 @NewVape420 @newvape918 any plans for an "all-in-one" kit? PID w/coil + battery + cage + pelican for a package price? :)

In case you’re considering buying one (I probably will sometime after I pick up the V Rod), remember that the coils NV shipped before 4/20/18 had power requirements the battery can’t meet, so you’d need a new coil if you’re using an older one from NV or another brand of coil that uses over 100w.

Anyone buying the Enail Battery Chassis for a different brand of controller should also verify that their controller will fit. It looks like it can be taller than the NewVape/Vapecode, but if it’s wider it doesn’t look like it would fit.

thanks for the heads up! putting in an order as well...

i did notice though.. @newvape918 @NewVape710 the link the v-rod carb cap (in the details section, at the bottom - not the actual "related products" link w picture), on the v-rod head and diffuser page (https://www.newvape.com/vrod-flowerpot-head) is bad. it links to "https://www.newvape.com/v-rod-carb-cap-3137". i think the correct link should be "https://www.newvape.com/vrod-carb-cap-3137".

EDIT: ordered! discount code took care of tax and shipping (almost)..

I'm curious if this coil will work for the vrod. It's a replacement I recently purchased from my dhgate enail manufacturer.

Very nice its the same price w quarts dish as showerhead. But looks like I will be dropping another 300 on the whole setup in the next few weeks since I'm loving my showerhead so much and am a big dabber as well!

Help us out...not that easy to read your mechanical calipers. What are the measurements, please. In particular, OD and width (from top to bottom of the coil).

13mm height
20mm I.D.
26mm O.D.

It fits perfect on my showerhead.

EDIT: Sorry I wasn't reading the calipers right, measurements should be right now. And it appears it's not 17mm height so it won't work.

Please share where a Dnail style cable that is made with the same specs as the Nv coil is bc I could not find one that is 17mm in height with the same wrap direction as the NV coil ? I have tried several of mine with no luck .

I don't know a specific one. I've a 20mm with 5 wraps and 17 mm height but counter-clockwise wrapped.
Sorry, its probably important but I can't understand the significance of wrap direction. Need an explanation for that, please.

My chinese vendor makes customized coils on demand. BTW very solid quality. My coil is running since 2y for several hours a day without any issues. Same as the controller whose temps are running rock-stable.

@Hogni wrap direction being significant is bc the head is milled so that the way the coil wrap direction is it slots right in and makes perfect contact with the metal . If that makes sense . This image of the inside head may help explain a bit : https://i.imgur.com/yDWROfY.jpg

I will say to everyone that your non NV coil may fit as I have some that do but it will not make contact with the head/nut the way it was intended to. I learned this 1st hand when I started using VRod and wondered why I had to crank my temps so high and was not getting great results. That’s when Edwyn had pointed out to me that my coil wraps were not clockwise with the 17mm height and extra wrap of the coil . As soon as I changed that out I noticed a difference immediately .

@psychonaut i am not home now but I’ll try when I can to throw up a image of the coil .

@newvape918 so if I wanted to go with the VROD over my Auber coil and SH setup I would need:

Single PID controller with 20mm coil = $115
VROD head & diffuser with SiC dish = $150 / which is $75 after 50% discount
VROB carb cap = $40 / $20 after 50% discount

total = $210

is this correct or am I missing anything?

Sorry, its probably important but I can't understand the significance of wrap direction.

Can't you just turn it upside down (or, really just reverse top and bottom). I clearly don't have a V-rod so I can't tell if the TC end (the bitter end of the coil) needs to be on one specific side or not.

Nice try, but the Sic dish would be full price, bud. Quartz can be half off

Maybe I should start making adapters ... :lol: ...
At least someone got what I was saying LOL...

Never said NewVape should make 'em basically meant "If someone needs to make money on the side, make some adapters and sell them!"

@SunnyHours I can assure you the VRod will not be $5 , it is a place holder. Also you had mentioned it may be cheaper than the Sh and Wa as it looks easier to make and I believe more work has gone into this one than both the Sh & Wa and it was a harder design for them to pull off.
@Justpassedu
Goddamn! Does anyone actually read my posts?
I know it won't be 5$, all I said was that it seems a simpler design so it should be cheaper than the 90$ heads...

It's starting to be annoying to constantly repeat myself...
